Update to recall nightmare with Daytona Subaru Daytona Subaru had to have my car towed to a different Subaru dealer to fix it. This was a ten day process overall. This is a 2014 Forester with Daytona Subaru had to have my car towed to a different Subaru dealer to fix it. This was a ten day process overall. This is a 2014 Forester with 8K miles. It ran fine until we took it in for a recall issued by Subaru. The second Subaru dealer informed us that the Recall WAS NOT performed by Daytona Beach Subaru. Subaru of Daytona had guaranteed they had - I have an invoice from them proving it. The process was not followed as the spark plugs were not marked as required by the process outlined by Subaru. More importantly the firmware WAS NOT updated as the old CID # was in the EEPROM. They also indicated it was necessary to re-gap the spark plugs. They stated that it was impossible for the firmware to have been updated and still reflect the old CID #. It was also very interesting to note that the battery HAD NOT been disconnected as it had been when Daytona Subaru broke my car. From all appearances the Daytona Subaru kept the car for three days and merely unhooked the battery to clear the ECM while charging Subaru to perform the multiple hour recall. This is the worst automotive experience I have ever encountered. I am still at a loss as to how they kept my car for 3 days - didn't perform the recall and somehow caused it to run horribly - no one at Daytona Subaru has an answer. More

I explained that I would give 3000 total and pay taxes in my state' She went to manager Joe and came out the door and stated to me and my wife to come in write up the deal. My wife had reservations so I told Joan that I liked the deal but give me some time to think about it. I went back 2 days later ready to pay for the car and have it shipped back to my state. Joan and Joe said they could not sell the car to me at that price because they had not checked on what they had in it. They made a price but would not honor what they had quoted to me and my wife. When a dealer does not honor their word , they cannot be trusted. More

Frankie and Joan's BMW I stopped at the dealership, used car division where I met Joan. The car that cauaght my eye was the BMW.. The test ride may have Joan a little jazzed, I dont break on curves while driving a Beamer. Bottom line was workable, Joe was awesome, the money man, Peter, was a lot of fun. I bought the car. The promises were met, and picked up my car looking very beautifully detailed. Joan was fun to work with, very knowledgable about her inventory. Our "loaner car " was way to much fun and a good experience for , hopefully, all of us involved. Thanks to Joan and Joe. Definitely will tell people about the positive experience. Frankie De. More
