Oil change and rear brakes $ 600.00 . When I got home checked the oil did not even fill it all the way had to add a half court of oil. They need to do better. Prepare to Be Hearing from Them Often, and For a Long Time I wouldn't even be writing a review of my negative experience, if Subaru World of Newton didn't insist on constantly calling and e-mailing me for year I wouldn't even be writing a review of my negative experience, if Subaru World of Newton didn't insist on constantly calling and e-mailing me for years, despite my many requests to be removed from their call and mailing lists. They regularly contact me for service, offers and event at their location, which I've told them, numerous times, is many hours from where I live. Now I even get e-mails from Toyota World of Newton. In 2013 I found a very specific certified-preowned WRX I was seeking, listed by Subaru World. I spoke with the dealership about the vehicle over the phone, and confirmed it was still for sale. The next day, I called immediately before setting out on a three-and-a-half hour drive to the dealership, to once again make sure the WRX was still available. The salesman from the certified-preowned department assured me it was. Upon arriving, I was quickly informed the car I was hoping to purchase, had been sold the night before. The head of sales tried to rectify the situation by offering some concessions on a brand new vehicle. I was without a vehicle of my own at the time, so I was between a rock and a hard place, and ended up being convinced to buy a base-model Impreza, which I've since been far from happy with. That decision is obviously no one's fault but my own, but I wish I could just live with it, without constantly being bugged by the dealership. More

I asked the salesman, David Wilt, early on about doing a high mileage lease and he told me that "Subaru doesn't like to get involved with those, we don't do them." That's an out and out lie. I could have looked into a lease with buying 30K miles a year. Subaru offers that, as I found out this week from another dealer. I like to change cars frequently, so leasing is better for me. I'm so angry about this ! I called corporate, my next phone call will be to Subaru/Chase where my loan is. If I can find out who owns these franchises, I'll be calling them also. And writing the CEO of Subaru corporate. Their lie is now my financial hardship. More

GTFO if you can’t afford the price I’m telling you! “Get the frick out if you can’t afford the price I’m telling you!” Worst dealer experience ever. I’ve been looking at 4Runners for a while now, and “Get the frick out if you can’t afford the price I’m telling you!” Worst dealer experience ever. I’ve been looking at 4Runners for a while now, and found a 2013 model at this dealership. I’ve been watching it on CarGurus for about 2 weeks. The initial listed price was 22,500. Then it was dropped to 20,900. I made an appointment for today (02/12/19) with Shannon Conklin. Before we got to the dealership, the online price dropped to 19,988. When we walked into the dealership we were met by Stephon HammondS who invited us to sit at his desk. He seemed nice enough at first. After he brought the truck out and we looked it over, we began discussing the price. Stephon’s price was 20,900. I let him know that I was aware of the price decrease so he said okay, 19,988 as it is on the Internet. Stephon then went to the back and came back with a piece of paper with a $24,000 tag on it. That is supposed to include a $1000 dealer prep fee (which we were never told what it includes), a few other hidden fees, and approx $2000 in sales tax. When I asked Stephon if the price is negotiable, he said we already negotiated from 20,900 to 19,988. I told him I came with $20,000 in cash ready to buy the truck for the advertised price. Stephon started getting rude at this point. He said at that point he would sell the truck for 17,000 which is the wholesale price, to another dealer and wouldn’t need to “waste his time” with us. We said no problem, we’ll have a friend who’s a dealer call and buy the truck for the wholesale price. Stephon gave his card at which our friend should call him. When Stephon’s phone started ringing, he came over ready to fight, and said “I don’t think you folks understand. If you can’t afford to pay the price I’m telling you, get the frick out of here!” At this point Anthony Emerick, the general sales manager, pulled Stephon away, escorted us to the door saying “Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.” Extremely professional salesman and good problem solving by the manager. Shady dealers with hidden fees are old news, but getting cursed out the door is a new low for an official Subaru dealer. Come here if you like getting ripped off while getting cursed out at the same time. More

You can t Do not come to Newton Subaru. I went there to have a new tire put on since I had a flat tire. The employee who helped me wasn't nice at all. You can tell this guy hates his job, he couldn't crack a single smile and was rude the entire time. I explained to him how I have full coverage for tires, rims, etc. He said "No you don't". I kindly explained to him that I do, and I know this because it's what I've paid for and just had another tire replaced at Ramsey Subaru about a month prior. I also had all the paperwork that he requested I need over the phone when I called to see if I could come in that day (I explained then too how I have this insurance) as well as the paperwork that I had from Ramsey. The conversation went as follows: Him- no you don't, let me show you. He then showed me a paper he printed, circled something on it and again just said 'no you dont' Me- I know I do, I'm confused. Him - well it says you don't. There are other ways you could've gotten it. Me- well what do you need me to show you that I have this? Him - a document. Me - I have everything here. He then skimmed through the papers again Him - you don't. Me- what document would that be then? Him- A document that says it. Me- should I call Ramsey and ask them to transfer all my information over to you? Him - No, I don't think that'd be helpful. Me- Then what am I supposed to do? Him - I don't know. But there's nothing in front of me here that says you have coverage. Maybe it's in your car. At that point I went to my car, knowing there weren't any more documents there. Since he was completely unhelpful and uninterested, I called Ramsey Subaru instead. I explained the situation to them and they immediately had the answer. 'All they're supposed to do is call Allstate and they give them their credit card information to cover the services'. So I go back inside Me- I called Ramsey. They said you just have to call Allstate and they'll give you their credit card information. Him - Oh, I have to call them (in a completely rude and sarcastic voice). Then he angerly jotted down 'Allstate' on the paper he printed earlier. I had requested an oil change while I was there and since it was due any way. He said it'd be $65. Before I could say something he starts really talking down to me... Him- Didn't you know, there was NO WAY I could've known that you had tire coverage?? Me- I had told you and I thought you'd be able to see it in my file or in the paperwork I brought. And this is the first time I've bought a car from a dealership, so no. Him- No. There was no way I could've known! He then went on and on about it. Once he was finished I asked 'I don't know if you'll know, but does Allstate cover the oil change too?' He replied 'If Ramsey told you they'd do it for free, only Ramsey will do it for free'. So I said 'Oh ok. I'll just do the tire for today then if that's alright'. He then dramatically took his pen, crossed off the part of the paper that requested an oil change then once again in a sarcastic voice said 'yeah, we can do that'. He had me sign it. Once I did I went into my purse to get my keys for him and as I'm obviously doing that he rudely asked if I could 'just get the keys'. Once he took them he just walked away without a word. Never told me I could go sit down. He wasn't back for a while too so I eventually figured I could go find a seat but it would've been nice to know I could go wait and he didn't need anything further from me. Then when my car was all done he gave me back my keys, the paperwork and said that they were done. He never told me or showed me where they put my car afterwards so I had to go find it. Would've been nice to know. The next day was my day off so I didn't drive any where. The day after when I went to drive not too long after it said my tire pressure was low... I watched as it started around 35 psi drop down to 9 psi. Figures it was the same tire they were supposed to fix. I went to the next closest Subaru and they told me while fixing my tire that Newton broke a part in it that caused the air to leak out. Because of that not only was I put in a dangerous situation (driving on highway when the pressure left my tire), but I also had to pay out of my pocket for their mistake!! I'm absolutely appalled by how I was treated and even more for them breaking a part in my car. That was the first, and definitely the last visit to Newton Subaru. More

Made 10:00 appointment for airbag. I was told about 2 hours. Passed by around 11:00. Car didn’t move yet. Arrived around 1:15. Inquired about time. Service desk said didn’t even start yet. All would be fine if told ahead of time. Was told mechanic not available. Keep in mind I didn’t Ask for loaner based on information. The only person in this place with any sense is the guy at the parts counter. I know because I visit it often , because after 100, 000 miles, there’s plenty of problems with these things. I will never go back again, and won’t recommend it. More
