In the middle of August, I decided it was time to upgrade from the Veloster I had to a new 2020 Kona FWD. Had had several on the lot and I decided to road test one. After that was all complete - I wanted to see what the offer would be if I decided to purchase a new one. After reviewing all of the offers, it was pretty much a no-brainer that here is where I'll stay. I liked the Kona so much, I actually found they had one '20 Kona Ultimate AWD left so I purchased it. As usual, there was no pressure and we worked out the numbers in no time. I took delivery of the Kona on August 31, 2020. Another easy (and satisfying) purchase. The dealership was one of the largest in size and was very well maintained. They had a good selection of both new and used vehicles in stock. The general staff was friendly and even opened doors for me occasionally. The sales representative assigned to me, Mr, Jeffrey Morris, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to spend a great deal of time with me. He did not pressure me in any way and was very matter-of-fact in answer to my questions on options. He also went over all the features, both major and minor, of the vehicle. During the test drive, Mr. Morris had me try different streets at different speeds so that I would understand the car's performance. Lastly, I worked with the business manager, Mr. Shae Washburn, who was very professional, thorough, and relatively quick. He honored my financial requirements and never tried to "over sell" me. When I wanted to make a major change to the financial requirements that had already been agreed to, he readily complied and did not complain. Importantly, Mr. Washburn gave me options that I was not aware of, but welcomed, and were structured to save me money. Since I am an elderly person, I have made a number of car purchases in the past. Dealing with St. Charles Hyundai ranks in the top three in being enjoyable. The dealership certainly helped me believe in their motto that they "make amazing happen".
