Had a very poor experience with this dealership when attempting to purchase a vehicle advertised on their website. This dealership advertises on their site that 'The Price You See Advertised - Is the P attempting to purchase a vehicle advertised on their website. This dealership advertises on their site that 'The Price You See Advertised - Is the Price You Pay' - That was certainly NOT our experience. We were looking at a 2023 Jeep Renegade Limited that was advertised at just under $26K - also listed with only 4015 miles. We reached out to schedule a test drive and when we arrived to test drive the car, we were told that it was considered a service loaner car and currently being used by a salesperson. Once they located the car for the test drive we noticed the car actually had approx 6900 miles on the odometer. We mentioned to the salesperson that the website indicated much lower miles. They admitted that they had NOT updated their site in quite some time. After the test drive and some consideration, we indicated that we were interested in purchasing the car and asked if they could consider a lower price for the car since the mileage was higher than advertised. The salesperson and manager indicated that they believed that would be some they could consider and would most likely be possible - but would need to get back to us in a couple of days as they would need to speak to their general mgr and they would be closed for the Christmas holiday and would be able to connect the general mgr until after the holiday. They promised to get back to us first thing after the holiday - that did not happen. The day after the holiday, later on that day we called to follow up (since they did not reach out to us) and got a completely rude/abrupt response that they would not consider lowering the price but actually increasing the price to $27,250 (another $1250 above the advertised price). They indicated there would be no further negotiations and pretty much told us that was the final new price. Besides being shocked at how rudely they delivered this news to use, we were disgusted and walked away. They lost a cash sale. They had updated their website with the new price but did not update the mileage of the car. Please note that as of this post, the mileage is still showing at 4015 miles. We have screen shots of the car listing prior to the price increase and after the price increase. We plan to file a claim with the BBB and dept of consumer affairs for false advertising. Just unacceptable business practices in my opinion. My recommendation to anyone working with this dealership - BEWARE! and be prepared for some questionable sales practices. BTW, we had a much better experience at Larry Roesch Jeep and I would highly recommend them. More

Within the first few weeks of having the car, we noticed it running hard and the brakes squeaking. The car has been serviced twice by St Charles Jeep and both times, we were told there was nothing wrong with the car. After continuing to deal with issues, we took it to another Jeep dealership to be serviced to find out that not only were the brakes bad but that there were other mechanical issues with the car. My 16 year old son mainly drives this car so to have this dealership continue to tell us that there was nothing wrong it put my son's life at risk. Its appalling and the unfortunate side of this is there is no recourse on our end. We are stuck with a poorly presented car from an extremely unreliable and untrustworthy dealership. The best I can do is share my experience to help keep others from purchasing from this dealership. More
I’ve visited this place before and had great service in the past, but unfortunately, things took a major downturn during my most recent visit. While I’ve experienced condescending behavior at car dealershi the past, but unfortunately, things took a major downturn during my most recent visit. While I’ve experienced condescending behavior at car dealerships before, this one really takes the cake. I brought my car in at 7 AM with an estimate of $342 for an oil change and a possible battery replacement, which seemed reasonable at the time. After agreeing to this, I was blindsided with an unexpected $189 charge for a diagnostic test—a service that should cost $50-$100 at most. They also claimed the $189 was half off which made it even more ridiculous. This was frustrating enough, but what really shocked me was the lack of communication. I didn’t receive a call until 4:45 PM, just 15 minutes before the salesman (Paul) was about to leave for the day. That’s when they dropped a bombshell: the total cost had ballooned to over $2,000—almost $1,700 more than originally quoted! Paul, along with a manager named Mike, (who I found later was not actually a manager but another sales person to lie to me) tried to justify these insane charges by claiming both of my car’s batteries were dead, even though my car started without any issue. They also insisted my entire radio needed to be replaced because it occasionally turned off and on. Common sense (and a quick Google search would have mentioned) told me this was likely a battery issue, not a reason to replace the whole radio. On top of that, they quoted me $480 for a new battery, when the average cost is closer to $200. Throughout my interactions with Paul and Mike, it became obvious that they were trying to take advantage of me. When I questioned the ridiculous charges, they brushed me off with vague explanations like, "That's just the way it is." It felt like they were banking on the fact that I wouldn't know better and would just pay up without question. I’ve encountered sexism at car dealerships before, but the blatant way they tried to upsell unnecessary repairs and inflate costs was infuriating. The total bill should have been no more than $500, but they were clearly hoping to exploit me for over $2,000. After several rude and frustrating conversations, I decided to pay the $189 diagnostic fee and leave for good. I will never return to this place, and I’ll be sure to tell others about the dishonest and sexist treatment I experienced here. More
I can’t recommend St. Charles Jeep Chrysler Dodge enough! My sister recently purchased a car from them, and the entire team went above and beyond to make sure she was taken care of. After having issues with her first Jeep, they fixed everything without any hesitation or questions asked. Unfortunately, the car broke down, and the repairs were too expensive. The dealership stepped in to buy back the car and got her into a newer vehicle that was perfect for her. Special shout-out to Sam, the general manager, who made the whole process seamless, Sarah, the sales rep who found the perfect car, and John, the finance manager, who worked out a great deal on the warranty and GAP insurance. They really worked hard to keep everything within her budget. This was an incredible experience—100/10 highly recommend! If you’re looking for a dealership that truly cares, this is the place! More
So you know this dealership does not care about the customer. If you are the first to come into the dealership and bring in money to hold the vehicle from sale, then your golden, but if your from out-o customer. If you are the first to come into the dealership and bring in money to hold the vehicle from sale, then your golden, but if your from out-of-state like me, just know they will sell it right out from under you because they won't accept a payment to hold the vehicle if your out of state. Also, they only do in-house financing. I indicated I was ready to buy on a Tuesday, and immediately received a call. I explained I was ready to buy, I was out of syaye and would need to have it shipped. I was told all the info would be given to the used Car Manager who would call me within the hour or the next morning. I had to call a Used Car Manager on Wed because no one called even after I was repeatedly told someone would call. When I spoke to the Manager I was told I would receive all the documents later that day by email and that they would call me to walk me through the deal. No call on Wed afternoon, or Thursday. I called the dealership and emailed them asking to speak to the used Car Manager and was repeatedly told that someone will call. Friday afternoon a finance manager.called me and we spoke about particulars, rates, terms, taxes, etc. I though the deal was being worked, especially after I was told the Used Car Manager.would call me later that day. No call on Friday afternoon. I called Saturday morning to discover the car was pending sale. I spoke to the head Used Car Manager and was basically.told that they don't accept payment to hold a vehicle for those out of state, that there was no deal being worked, that the finance officer was only getting my preferences for when I spoke to the used Car Manager and that someone should have called me and that I need to talk to my people as we shouldn't have done that. Bottom line is this dealership doesn't care about the customer, only the sale. JUST KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT MOVING FORWARD WHEN DEALING WITH THIS DEALERSHIP More
