I called Monday morning at 7 AM and as my car was out of coolent and the alert said not to drive it. So I had no vehicle. I was told to leave a message as the scheduler was busy. I called again at 11 and was told the person that schedules was still busy and will call me back. I called after lunch and got upset on the phone explaining that I needed my car to be looked at as soon as possible since I couldn’t drive it or I wanted to know if if for rental was part of my warranty, which I believe it is. I was connected with someone who told me to bring it in and they would try to get to it as soon as they could, but it would likely be over a week. They said it would cost me $200 for the diagnostics and then they would let me know how much the rest was. I again became very upset and said no the car has 20,000 miles on it and I just purchased it from the dealership one year ago. it should be out of coolant and it should be covered under warranty. They said they would check my warranty over once I got there. I was pleased that after dropping it off, The girl who helped me, Inda, did get back to me and let me know it was covered under warranty. They were not sure about a rental, but I had found a car to use. I explained that I had read on several websites and forums that Low coolant seem to be a common issue with the atlas. And then, unfortunately, most drivers were told there was no cause. I asked him to please do the pressure test and 20k service while there. They did look at my car the following day, which I appreciated as they were extremely busy, but it was told they found nothing wrong. They said it Likely out when the oil change was performed They told me to come pick it up. I do not believe the 20 K service was performed. However, I was so upset that I already had a major issue at 20 K miles that I just wanted to pick the car up and leave. I was advised by several people to consider it as it should not be out at 20 K. I do that in a timely manner, but I have to get very upset on the phone after three calls to get it in there. I was upset that I was unable to get a better answer then it is fine and you can continue to drive it. More
My experience as a first time VW owner has not been impressive. No follow-up by service personnel. Also no call backs about parts ordered. Staff are courtesy when before you. Renter & cash out car per impressive. No follow-up by service personnel. Also no call backs about parts ordered. Staff are courtesy when before you.
