This past February I purchased a Certified Used Acura from this dealership. On the drive home, I noted some issues and then contacted the dealership to get them resolved. Customer Service This was h from this dealership. On the drive home, I noted some issues and then contacted the dealership to get them resolved. Customer Service This was hit and miss. There were times when my calls and emails went unanswered. A month went by before I was able to speak with someone about the issues with the car. Pro: The financial assistant was fantastic. He knew what he was doing and was very considerate with his recommendations. He made the transaction speedy but not rushed to the point where I felt lost or anything. The owner, Street Nalley, got involved and was a nice guy. He fixed the salesman’s misleading selling point, had my car cleaned, and filled up my tank with gas since I had made several trips to the dealership and it’s quite far from my house, and gave me a loaner vehicle while my car was being repaired. One of the repair technicians took the time to go over his findings with me and I appreciated that. Con: The salesman didn’t return my emails. In fact, I was ignored for a good chunk of time and it wasn’t until I contacted Acura Headquarters that I was contacted by the dealership. At one point the service rep argued with me over the phone when I was trying to bring it in to have it reviewed. When I brought it in, I went over the items I thought were wrong, they reviewed them and stated that they were all working fine, but told me to bring the car back later in the week to have the bigger dents fixed. So again, I made the 45 minute one-way trip to the dealership to drop off my car and was told I would get to pick it up the next day (which turned out to not be the case, but at least I was given a loaner car, that actually was not clean… there were children’s toys, gum wrappers, etc). Quality of Work I had a couple concerns with my car… 1.) Alignment – I felt it favored the Left, they looked at it, told me it was fine and I was going to get a second opinion from another Acura dealership, but they were going to charge for it so I didn’t, though in hindsight I probably should have. 2.) Speaker system – On the whole, it sounds fine, but there is a speaker that makes a popping sound, but both dealerships stated they were within normal functioning range so nothing was done about it. 3.) Braking system – Sons told my there was nothing wrong with my braking system, I still felt that there was, so when I took it into Ed Voyle’s Acura, they looked at my car and within 15 minutes they came back with the diagnostics for my speakers and braking system (And there was a full waiting room, so it wasn’t like they were fast because there were no other customers). As it turned out, my rotors were warped and needed to be repaired. So I contacted Sons again and a couple of days later they told me to bring in the car. They were correct with the time estimate, they told me two hours and were done right around that time. I drove my car home and noticed that it still seems off! And the worst part is now it’s making some random sound I’ve never heard before. I haven’t brought it up with Sons because I really don’t want to drive all the way down there again and because I don’t trust the quality of their work. First I was told there was nothing wrong and then when I get it fixed, the braking still seems off AND there’s a strange sound coming out of my car… 4.) Dents – The owner had a body repairman fix the dents in the vehicle. They were done pretty well, all that remained of a couple of them were the scratch marks and I understand that can be difficult to fully repair. 5.) Navigation Screen – There’s a small tear in the touch screen that is right over one of the keys. It apparently isn’t covered despite it having an effect upon use. Can’t press the N key when typing in a street name…I thought it was just a dust piece when I was reviewing the car when making the purchase… I realized it was a tear only after driving home, which was unfortunate. In all, they ‘fixed’ the braking system and dents, everything else was considered to be ‘normal’. With my brakes still acting up, I plan on taking it in to Ed Voyles again and just forking over the money because I don’t trust the quality of work at Sons and Ed Voyles is much closer so I won’t be using up expensive premium fuel or wasting time. Friendliness The owner is very friendly. I am a medical student and he recognized how exhausted I was at times and it was nice of him to realize how much of an inconvenience this whole thing was… I barely have time to go grocery shopping or sleep for that matter and here I was spending almost two hours driving to and fro the dealership multiple times for things that should not have been wrong with the car. The receptionists who answer the phone are very friendly. The Service coordinators, like Derek, are friendly. Overall Experience In a nut shell, it’s almost mid-April and I’m still working on getting my car to be functioning as it should and I made the purchase in February. There were several other complications that occurred in the past couple of months that I did not mention and I feel that this could have been much smoother and less time consuming. I do really like the car, so I don’t regret buying the car… Yet I would have bought the car from another dealership if I could change things. Another piece of advice I would give is to be aware of the certification guidelines! Make sure that the car meets them, if you’re buying a certified vehicle, the price is higher because the car is supposed to be of higher quality. Make sure you’re getting the right quality car for the price! Price They had a good price online and I thought it was fair for the vehicle that I thought I was purchasing. Like I said, it wasn’t until I really spent some time in the car and was driving it home that I realized the problems and wish I would have addressed these at the time of purchase because I would have tried to get a lower price considering the tears in the tinting, nav touch screen, dents and scratches, etc. Considering all of the issues that have come about, I would have thought that the dealership would have refunded the dealership fees as some sort of consolation. The fee was pretty steep and there were so many problems that, in my opinion, seemed like the least they could do since no deductions were taken for the parts with problems. At first, I thought the price was good and didn’t even bother trying to haggle… but after this entire ordeal, I have to admit, I do feel a bit cheated. More
I have purchased 3 new vehicles from this location in the last 10 years and have had them serviced there and had no problems untill Son's took over the dealership. I went in for service 2 years ago and had s last 10 years and have had them serviced there and had no problems untill Son's took over the dealership. I went in for service 2 years ago and had several things done or so I thought they were done. I went into a dealership in Minnesota about 6 months later and found out one of the service items I had paid for from Son's had not been donem the replacement of the cab air filter for A/C, I don't know what else was n0ot done. I brought this to the attention of Son's Acura service manager and he replied with a apology but never offered to make it good by replacing filter. Also this dealer did not make good the life time oil change I receved when purchasing my last vehicle, they did for 2 years but that is not life time, I think that it was a bad decision in retaining previous loyal customers. After due diligence and research, I decided on an Acura 2010 TSX 4 cylinder. It runs on regular rather than premium and this sets it apart from other Acuras. Once I decided on the car, I had to find a dea 2010 TSX 4 cylinder. It runs on regular rather than premium and this sets it apart from other Acuras. Once I decided on the car, I had to find a dealer. I searched Acura.com for all dealers within 300 miles. I soon realized what I could get for my trade-in and about what I might be able to pay for a new 2010 TSX. Acura.com allows to view inventory, email, call, or chat with sales people. It was through a Chat session, that I first "met" Leon Smith. I told him what kind of car I was trading, the mileage and VIN. I told him the amount I was already offered. I told him what I wanted to pay for a new TSX. He told me he would have research the value of my trade-in. He got back to me and met my price and my trade-in. I was pleased but I continued to check other dealers, some much closer to me. No one was willing to match his deal. To sweeten the deal and earn my business, Leon threw in some desired accessories. We made a date for the exchange. I drove about 250 miles to meet Leon, Mac, and Patrick in person. They were friendly, competent, helpful, and willing to do business to earn business. They sold me the exact car I wanted at the price and trade-in point I needed. Nothing could improve this transaction. They were GREAT! Through the entire process, Leon, Mac, and Patrick answered all my questions in easy to understand terms with honesty and integrity. They earned my business and my friendship. I will recommend Sons Acura to all my friends. The drive is the worth the deal and the experience with honest, good people, who work to earn your business. Other dealers were more concerned about the profit on the deal. I guess they did not realize that a small profit on a good deal is better than a big profit on no deal. More

We had been looking all weekend and finally walked into Sons Acura on Labor Day. My husband and I were actually tired of the process but decided to give it a go. Once we arrived we were met my Ashton, no Sons Acura on Labor Day. My husband and I were actually tired of the process but decided to give it a go. Once we arrived we were met my Ashton, not pushy, but friendly and was ready to assist us in any way. We test drove the TL and TSX and were still undecided but after careful consideration if we could make the numbers work, we decided on the TL. We got a great price and Mac was very professional. Patrick kept us smiling and laughing through the paperwork process. I intend to hold on to my Acura TL for a while but will return to Son's Acura when I'm ready to upgrade. Thanks so much!! More
