Sonju All American Superstore

I have always felt it worth while to travel the extra mile to see this dealer. I have purchased a vehicle there in the past and have never lived any closer than 75 miles, passing several dealers on my w mile to see this dealer. My salesman was bent on defacing his competitor rather than giving me the best experience in a dealership that I have ever had. I observed him rolling his eyes and talking under his breath about us to a peer. We spent a lot of time waiting for the car, we were interested in, to be found. When it was finally located it was not prepared for any type of showing. When we declined that vehicle, we decided to determine what else we could afford, Phil Sawin, spoke to as though we were idiots. When we again waited for an excessive amount of time, we determined we had waited long enough, I went to locate our salesman. I wanted to give him the courtesy of telling him we were leaving. I found him leaning over the finance desk not doing much. When I told him we were leaving the finance guy, jumped to his defense, stating, "I don't want to sound arragant, we are the only dealer in the state that can find you financing" I am a business man and I know one thing, if you don't want to sound like you're tooting your own horn, don't preface your statement with that type of comment. I think you guys have gotten to big for your own good, and should return to the basics of selling cars. If I continue to put my competition down to sell my product, I force my client to go see for herself/himself. By the way I purchased a vehicle today, from one those lots I passed on my way to Two Harbors, and don't believe I'll be returning to lot anytime soon. More

Bought a new Monte Carlo from this place....they kissed my butt until the deal was made...then i was an unknown who was in there way. Our car needed the driver seat repaired...the back of the seat had dama my butt until the deal was made...then i was an unknown who was in there way. Our car needed the driver seat repaired...the back of the seat had damage from the factory. So we made a scheduled appointment to have it repaired. Sonju knew what the problem was....said it would be a couple hours to fix....i was ok with this. We get up there and they look at it and tell me we have to order parts! They had over two weeks to order parts for this....guess they forgot....So we go back the following week....they tell us they have to send the car to someone else for repairs...ok ...we need a loaner to drive for a couple days...they tell us we don't have any! WHAT!?....ITS WHERE THE CARS ARE! That's there motto...So some punk kid with his hat on backwards says we can drive this van...ok we take it, and get 5 minutes away and it starts to rain....I turn on the wipers and it doesn't have any....you heard me right... no wipers...they are laying on the floor inside the van...not to mention it had a broken brake rotor...so we take it back and this kid is nothing but a smartass about it....Now mind you, I just bought a Brand new car....I would not buy a moped from these people!!!! Stay away from them...sent a letter to GM waiting to hear from them...... More

My purchase through Sonju was a very smooth and friendly experience. I had great customer service at all times before, during and after the sale. The only aspect about the process that nagged me a bit was the pressure. Not a fault of Rodney, just the culture of the business. It is frustrating to walk into the dealer and without even looking at the car, being asked if I'm willing to buy tonight. Without seeing the car, that is a huge step. The pushiness is irritating but I understand it is part of the business and apparently effective. That is my only qualm with dealers and dealership. Otherwise everything else was great. My sales person, Al Gauthier was extremely patient and not pushy in any way. It took a few days to get everything to work out but eventually it did. I happened to meet Keith McKenzie shortly after my purchase and introduced myself to let him know what I thought about his business. I think he felt good about my information. I have already mentioned to friends that they should give your business some consideration when looking for a vehicle. I definitely will be back for my next purchase! More
