I purchased a 1997 Cougar in Feb 2012 from Joe, first online car price was lower than what it was when I purchased it they tore up first purchase order We let that go, my key didn't work in one door and online car price was lower than what it was when I purchased it they tore up first purchase order We let that go, my key didn't work in one door and drivers window was skipping which they said they would still neither works properly.After only putting 1100 miles on car I heard a noise from back brakes, we purchased back break pads only to find out that the pads were shot and had froze up the calibers in back of car. The car never should had passed Their Inspection.They gave me a run around for 2 weeks only to finally tell me OH WELL NOTHING WE CAN DO More
his place should be shut down for the lemons they sell to everyone .I really thought they were nice but boy was I wrong .They seen me coming with a big sucker sign on my head.I can not sell to everyone .I really thought they were nice but boy was I wrong .They seen me coming with a big sucker sign on my head.I can not believe the stress I'm under now trying to get a car re[paired because a warranty that covers everything and isn't covering my clutch .What a big fool for buying a car here never again . I bought a Nissan Murano recently from Shirley Auto Group and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase with the stunning level of professionalism this dealership gave me. I had the best car buying experie and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase with the stunning level of professionalism this dealership gave me. I had the best car buying experience I ever had even when compared to the big dealerships on the infamous "112" strip I experienced in the past. And to top if off, Joe got me an astounding price on a superb veichle. Kudos to the dealership and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a used or new car. I couldn't be more satisfied even if you paid me to write this. 5/5 More
they sold me a vehicle with there band new inspection on it and brakes went metal on in aweek, they said i had to purchase extended warranty for bank to approve loan which was a total lie. every time u bri it and brakes went metal on in aweek, they said i had to purchase extended warranty for bank to approve loan which was a total lie. every time u bring in for service u loose vehicle 4 2or3 days and then u have to bring it back because it was done incorrectly.one for instance my passenger door lock was repaired by them on three separate occasions and is stilln empty hole in door cause lockm fell out again.need i say more More

Wanted to buy a car cash they told me I can get approved for a newer vehicle even though I didn't want a payment it sounded like a great deal as i researched i came to find there online price and Kelly blue for a newer vehicle even though I didn't want a payment it sounded like a great deal as i researched i came to find there online price and Kelly blue book price was $2000 less than what they were selling me the vehicle for. I put my down payment with the intentions of picking my vehicle up the next day after spending 3 hours in the office "getting approved" and setting up a new insurance policy for the car. I was told everything was approved paper work was done so I am told to pick the car up the following day because they were closing. I go to pick up my car after I don't get any phone calls from them and they had a different vehicle set up and ready for me, remember I didn't want a payment to begin with. I told Joe the owner to just refund me my money and he said he can't I have to wait until the book keeper was in now I have to wait 2 more days to get my down payment back after I already waited 2 days waiting on picking up my car up and I'm back at square one! Also have to call my insurance company and get refunded for insuring the car. Total inconvenience to my week and job for the half of day I took off to go sign paper work. Michelle saleswomen who helped was very nice. Other than that they are too over priced and it's a scam lot, not a car lot. More
SHOW ME THE CAR FAX. MAKE SURE YOU ASK THIS QUESTION. THESE PEOPLE WILL SELL YOU ANYTHING AND SAY THEY DID OIL CHANGES AND NEVER DO THEM. ONLY HAD MY CAR FOR 2 MONTHS AND IT IS SITTING IN A SHOP NOW AND THESE PEOPLE WILL SELL YOU ANYTHING AND SAY THEY DID OIL CHANGES AND NEVER DO THEM. Shirley Auto Group has screwed me big time. And as for the above review, Joe does work there, a salesman and so does another Joe. I went there in Feb. 2012 and bought a car from them a Santa Fe 2002. I fo the above review, Joe does work there, a salesman and so does another Joe. I went there in Feb. 2012 and bought a car from them a Santa Fe 2002. I found a number of things off about the vehicle. The steering mechanism, leaking fluid, steering wheel wouldn’t turn, mirror on driver’s side shaking, radio – no lights, abs, engine, and vs tracking light sensors on. Went back at least 2 or 3 times to get each thing “fixed” each time being told parts were hard to get, took time, phone calls returned very slowly or not at all and returned repeatedly for each thing. Finally after waiting a long time, each item above got fixed. Next, discovered air conditioning wasn’t working after asking Joe in Feb. and testing it, since it was cold just thought it was, he said yes. Went back, they put in freon gas into unit and that didn’t work. went back again, set to work on unit replaced compressor on AC, in afternoon, compressor blew up and smoke came out, went back again same day, told don’t worry by mechanic, it was fine. next day went back, told by mechanic, looking for leak, needed dye, come back saturday, came back, dye told them,it was compressor. told to call mon. called monday, told me the warranty would take care of it for a 100$ deductible and that their certificate had expired with my warranty company (from reading the other posts here, I see that this one is regularly used as well). I was Sent to AAMCO but I Went to my neighbor because… know that sound you get when axles are going bad?It started, so my neighbor told me, the CV boots were gone and had been missing for a while and BOTH axles were bad and had been way before I bought this car from Shirley Auto. Shirley Auto Group gave me an oil change and (promised me 4 also), an inspection, and changed the steering mechanism (bypass tube instead of properly), fixed the vs tracking sensor and at no time noticed the axles were bad and the CV boots were missing? My friend told me anyone will take the warranty so went to Hyundai dealership and they fixed the air conditioning and found that somebody jury rigged it and (compressor exploded but they found the reason why), jury rigged the steering power cooler device, and that the axles had been messed up and the CV boots missing from the vehicle for a long time since there was no grease splatter. I asked Shirley Auto group to fix it and Joe and his service Gal Christine both claimed that they would get back to me and Joe did finally after a couple of weeks but Christine didn’t. Got a lawyer, contacted the DMV and now everytime I tell this long story which still leaves out some details, the person I tell it to, comes up with a story of their own about the bad perhaps “criminal” business practices of shirley auto group. Since I don”t know all the laws I do say perhaps. I want to save you aggravation and hurt, humiliation and expense. I do not have a working vehicle, my interest rate is embarrassing 22%, the car payment is unaffordable although I sacrifice to pay it, and the above notices you read were probably written by one of them after they got slammed by so many of us so they could show a high rating. All they have to do to get me to call off the dogs is to treat me respectfully, offer me a new vehicle, take back this one, and agree to have it paid for and inspected by the car’s original dealership before agreements are signed. Not unreasonable really considering the amount of upset and pain I have been through. I will let you know if the Shirley Auto Group has a conscience and contacts me in the next few days to arrange a deal so I will call off my lawyer and the DMV. If I wasn’t treated like I was a know nothing, which I am, and was honestly taken care of, and the vehicle was actually safe to drive, none of this would be happening. Honesty is always the best policy. If you have a service station which they do, they shouldn’t be trying to get over on you for a lousy couple of bucks extra. And even if they don’t have a station since when it is ok to take advantage of women and sell them dangerous lemon cars? And by someone I thought I knew too. Shameful really! Would you, Shirley Auto Group, do this to your own mothers? Right now I have no car, I am retired living on a small pension and this company has obviously done this to so many people. The posts here are all similar. And who goes online to reap praise on Shirley Auto Group? Answer? Shirley Auto Group so they get a good rating!!! More
