Our sales person, Begi, is one of the sweetest people that I have met in quite some time. She was knowledgeable, but humble enough to tell us that she didn't know the answer to what we were asking, and would find the answer. Which she did! It's not hard to tell when someone is insincere, and insincere is not a word that can describe Begi! I honestly feel like she and her manager, Mike, bent over backwards to treat us right. I know for a fact that Mike did more than he had to just to make sure we were happy. The thing I think I liked best about the dealership is, there wasn't any beating around the bush or trying to sugar-coat anything. The way they presented themselves and their vehicles is the way that they were. Simple, concise, and accurate. I am completely satisfied with my new (used) Sorrento, and will definitely recommend this dealership to anyone needing a vehicle. Shawnee Mission Kia will be my first stop, the next time I'm shopping for a car. Thank you!!! More
This dealership and Antonio were great. I never thought that I would go into a dealership and get the respect and courtesy that was received. Well the deal is done!!! I love you guys!!! This group was the pinnacle of excellence! I went in just to look and told them what i was interested in. Brian and Begi knew exactly what i needed and didn't look on the lot, but looked at inventory sheets and found my dream car. For a small lot they have a huge inventory. As soon as I saw the Jeep with everything it had I was blown away. I wanted it but being newly divorced I felt discouraged but they told me not to worry and that they would take care of everything. The finance company initially approved the car and then even with my score in the low 700's they started asking for more paperwork. This team of professionals did not stop fighting for me until there was financing in place and I was satisfied! I was even able to get 1.5% less APR on the loan than the original quote. If you are looking for a new or used car and don't go talk to this crew then they can't help you. NO OTHER dealership has ever fought as hard as this one for their customers. I drove away today completely satisfied with my new Jeep with all the bells and whistles. The only thing my car doesn't do is massage my shoulders on long drives. The heated seats will be awsome this winter. Thank you again gang!!! My friend even went over last December to get a car. She had really bad credit because she had been in school for the last 8 years and they did not stop til she drove away with her new optima! That was the second car she bought from them. I was super impressed with this dealership. I truely felt like i was going to be dissappointed when i walked in but the dedication that this team gave was outstanding. i ended up with a much better car th like i was going to be dissappointed when i walked in but the dedication that this team gave was outstanding. i ended up with a much better car than i had and cut my payment by 1/3. i would reccomend that anyone go there for their next car and their next car after that. When my wife and I decided it was finally time to start looking into getting a new car, we first went online to look at our options and to see what would fit both our needs and budget. We liked what Kia h looking into getting a new car, we first went online to look at our options and to see what would fit both our needs and budget. We liked what Kia had to offer, and since I was ready to make the jump to a small SUV that got us decent gas mileage, the Sportage appealed to us. Since it was a Sunday and not many dealers were open, we found some cars online at Shawnee Mission Kia and decided to make the drive out there to check them out. (Not a short drive when you're coming all the way from the Liberty, Missouri area, by the way.) As soon as we got to the lot, Bo Hardy greeted us and offered to help. We told him that we were interested in the Sportage, so he showed us several that each had different features, fuel economies and price tags. When we saw one that we thought would work, he let us take it for a test drive after which we went inside the showroom to figure the monthly payments. Sad to say that even on the least expensive end, the Sportage was still out of our price range. We had to say no. Bo was understanding though and offered to help us look at cars that would be easier on our finances. Still feeling a bit disappointed though, we went back out to look at other options. Bo showed us some Optimas and Fortes, but none of them really spoke to me. I was ready to get out of a sedan and into something different than the 2002 Saturn L200 that I had been driving for the last several years. Bo politely left us to ourselves so we could discuss what our next move would be. We wandered around the lot under intense heat feeling depressed that we would probably have to leave in the same car in which we arrived. To escape the sun and talk about it some more, we climbed into a Kia Soul at the back of the lot. I had initially dismissed the Soul as being to small and boxy to be comfortable, but once I got in I was pleasantly surprised. It was spacious without being too big, it had large windows for maximum visibility and the seats were roomy enough that I didn't feel "boxed in." Fortunately for us, the price was also kinder on our bank account. Bo was also surprised that we had gravitated toward the Soul, but he offered to let us test drive it too to see if we really did like it. Like it, we did. It handled so well and was so responsive that I felt like I had already been driving it for years. And after we came back and he crunched some more numbers for us, Bo helped us get our monthly payments down to an amount that, while still a bit more that what we were wanting, was something that we could afford. As we waited for the car to get ready and while the paperwork was being put together, Bo engaged us in some friendly small talk that made me feel like he wasn't just interested in the sale, but also in our happiness and satisfaction. He also offered to get us some water to help us beat the heat outside. That helped turn our disappointment around and left us feeling happy that we made a good, but hard-fought decision. When it came time to sign on dotted line after dotted line, we went back into Mark's office to deal with all the financial and legal stuff. That went by rather quickly, but without feeling too rushed either. We then had to deal with the task of cleaning out our trade-in before we could leave in our new Soul. Bo was kind enough to get us a cardboard box to make the transferring of knick-knacks and other car doodads a lot easier. He also took the time to show me how to pair my BlackBerry to the car's unique Bluetooth phone system, which was really cool and generous of him. Finally, he thanked us for our time and patronage, and we thanked him for his patience and understanding. We were happy to drive away in our new 2011 Kia Soul, and Bo Hardy helped us have the peace of mind to do so. More

I checked out DealerRater.com and checked out Shawnee Mission Kia's online inventory. Bo wanted me to come to the dealship and test drive some of the Sorentos, however, I live almost 5hrs away from Overland Park and was not ready to make the trip only to not have everything in order. After some eamils and and phone calls, we finaly had everthing ready and set up an appointment with Bo. When we arrived at S.M.K. early, we were approached before we made it to the front door and asked if we could be helped. We told the gentleman that we were there to see Bo and was shown to his desk, and offered something to drink while we waited since we were early and Bo had not yet arrived. Bo went over some of the details of the SUV with us and took us out for a test drive. Following the test drive we talked about useing our minivan as a trade-in which I had told Bo would not be part of the deal in our emails. Bo ran the numbers and gave us a price that was more then what we thought we would get. In the end we got our 2011 Sorento at a great price, from a great staff at Shawnee Mission Kia. We arrived at the new car site and the salesman whose name was Antonio greeted us as soon as we got out of our car. He asked what we were in the market for and we told him we were looking for a Kia Sore name was Antonio greeted us as soon as we got out of our car. However, we were looking for a minivan type vehicle and he told us that the Kia Sedona was the style we should look at. After answering a few questions about the Sedona we told him that we were actually looking for a used car so he walked with us to the used car lot that was down the street a ways. He showed us several 2009 models that were nice vans but a little more than we were wanting to pay. When we told him the price range that we wanted to stay in he immediately took us to a 2005 model that was very clean, not an enormous amount of miles and was very attractive. AFter taking a test drive we were in favor of making a purchase. He told us what the list price was and then the price they would be willing to sell the vehicle for. We made a counter offer and within 10 minutes we were on our way to talking financing. We were given three options on down payment, length of term, and monthly payment. I have never in my life bought a car where I was given those choices. We picked the one that best suited our needs and the rest is history. Antonio made purchasing a vehicle a pleasant experience, more so than I have experienced in the past. I would definitely do business again with Shawnee-Mission Kia and when I do I will ask for Antonio. More
I loved my experience with Shawnee Mission Kia and particularily with Begi! Not only was she super friendly and laid back in her sales communication, but she also tried so hard to get me everything I particularily with Begi! She found me the right color, the right milage, the right price and all the extras I wanted, even if it meant calling around to other places and lots she was associated with. I would recommend Shawnee Mission Kia to every friend and insist on you dealing with Begi!!! Ask for her! She is a great associate and a better person! In 1998 I became disabled and have been unable to work a full-time job; my husband has been the primary source of income in our household-we struggled for several years to work toward paying down our debt and improving our credit score.Although our credit score is still not where we'd like it to be-currently on the low side-Dustin Johnson- Salesman-and Mark the finacial manager, worked very hard to put us in a vehicle despite our credit score and the high balance we owed on our trade-in. Today we signed the paperwork and drove away in a 2010 KIA Optima LX. This is the first new car we have owned in more than 12 years. Our experience at Shawnee Mission Kia was definately a "10"! For any future buyers looking for a great deal, even if your credit score is 500-565, with proof of consistant employment-even SSDI benefits and an income of $1800.00 per month,go see Dustin Johnson at Shawnee Mission KIA and tell him the Wolfe's sent you!
