Prior to going to Shawnee Mission Kia, we visited another manufacturer's dealership, and felt that we were not offered what our trade was worth. That dealer chose to not work with us in order to complete the manufacturer's dealership, and felt that we were not offered what our trade was worth. That dealer chose to not work with us in order to complete the sale; therefore, we went to Shawnee Mission Kia. As soon as we arrived at Shawnee Mission Kia we were greeted very warmly by Rocco, and felt that he was willing to work with our specific vehicle wants / needs. This allowed for us to feel more open discussing possible vehicle options, and at the end of the day, we ended up purchasing a car that we loved and felt that we got "more bang for our buck." We definitely would recommend not only our type of vehicle (2011 Kia Sorento), but we also would recommend that any of our friends / family go to Shawnee Mission Kia to purchase a vehicle. More
Rocco was a very good salesmen took his time with. Made sure I knew had to work all the gadgets on my new car before I left the lot which really helped out. It was an overall good experience. We bought the car on March 29, 2011,had taken care of all the paperwork on March 31, 2011, and have not heard from them since. We found the vehicle we bought online and called the dealership for more information. We live 50 miles from the dealership, and coincidentally, Bill lives in the same town we do. So, he offered to drive dealership for more information. We live 50 miles from the dealership, and coincidentally, Bill lives in the same town we do. So, he offered to drive the car we were interested in to our home for a test drive. He did this, bringing the car over on his day off. We put gas in the car for our test drive, and he even reimbursed us for the gas. The few things that we asked about were completely answered and resolved to our total satisfaction. We could not be happier with the way we were treated and will recommend the dealership and Bill to friends. More

I originally went into Kia to trade in my car and get a 2011 Sorento. The day before I was suppose to trade in my car I got in a bad wreck and totalled my car. I called Thomson the morning I was to go in a 2011 Sorento. The day before I was suppose to trade in my car I got in a bad wreck and totalled my car. I called Thomson the morning I was to go in and informed him that my trade in was no longer a trade in. He was very understanding and first and foremost wanted to make sure I was OK. He told me not to worry, that he would get the paperwork changed. When I got there he had already changed the paperwork for me. I didn't have to sit around forever waiting which was very nice because I was still in a lot of pain from my wreck. When I was done signing the papers in finance he had the car ready for me to go, he explained the different parts of the car, and even set up my bluetooth for me, that really made me happy because I hate having to figure stuff out even something as simple as that. He was even very patient with me when I snapped at him a little, I felt so bad he was being nice and telling me about the features and I guess I just was grumpy but he handled it so professionally. When I got home my Mom wanted to see my car (it is her dream car) so she was of course very jealous. When she buys a new Sorento she will defintely be buying it from Thomson. Thank you Thomson for making my buy so smooth and hassle free. More

We had a great experience buying our new Sorento! Rocco was very friendly and helpful in finding the vehicle that had all the features we wanted. There was no haggling over price, either. John Simms gave was very friendly and helpful in finding the vehicle that had all the features we wanted. There was no haggling over price, either. John Simms gave us a fair price up front and gave us a good deal on our trade. He also found a great interest rage for our loan. Finally, the finance department was very helpful. No one was pushy at all! This is the fifth car we've bought from Shawnee Mission Kia and I know we'll buy more from them in the future. I recommend this dealership whenever I get the chance. Salesman was very friendly. Provided good conversation during the waiting periods (i.e. finding financing, getting the car detailed, etc.). The other salesman were a little rowdy and distracting during the time that I was working with my salesman. I was also not a fan of the confusion between the offered deal and the final deal. Overall, a very good dealership. They offer nice cars that have some negotiable pricing and a terrific value for the money. More
