We were credit challenged having not recovered from a job loss and subsequent unemployment over a tear ago. We had looked for a car in MO dealerships and could not find a car suitable for our family at a pri loss and subsequent unemployment over a tear ago. Our credit required some special terms and we were intoduced to Tyrone Taylor who worked tirelessly for 2 days to get us the best car to meet out needs and our budget. Customer service was great. The employees were very friendly and didn't think twice about joking around with you and making you feel welcomed, comfortable and important. I had a lot of run around on what I wanted and the price I wanted to stay at. Nick was very upfront and made me the deal I was looking for without having to spend hours there playing lets make a deal. As a 45 year old single woman buying my first car I felt comfortable and confident I was at the right place and doing the right thing. Rachel in the finance department also knew I was buying my first new car and went out of her way to make everything comfortable, inviting and made sure I knew all that was available to me. She explained things I'm not sure she even had to just to make sure I left a happy customer. They went through the car and made sure it was very clean and had a full tank of gas before I left. Overall they were the only dealership I went to that took me serious when I said I had done all my homework and research and that I knew what I was looking for and the price I was looking for it at. I can honestly say it's the only dealership that I felt took me serious and respected me as a single woman looking for a car. I want to thank Jim Canto for the blessing I received when I went to Shawnee Mission Kia. I went there down on my luck and at the end of my rope and seen no light at the end of the tunnel. He was funny, down to earth and empathetic to my disgust and frustration. I got a good price on my trade in and Jim was great with explaining things to me. Whenever Jim made a deal happen for me I cried. Jim had turned a hellish week into a blessing and he gave me the light at the end of the tunnel. We had been looking for a car for a couple of weeks and had become very frustrated. It didn't seem that we would ever find a car that we liked that also fit our budget. Many car dealerships are closed on Sunday, but not Shawnee Mission Kia so we decided to go there and our experience was excellent. Rocco Morando was not a pushy salesman at all and had incredible patience answering all of our questions about the different Kia models. We ended up loving the Kia Optima LX and Shawnee Mission Kia was super to work with in regard to financing and we drove off the lot with a car we love.
