Nick was a great guy to work with. I would recommend him to a friend. He was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle (he answered even the most detailed question). We spoke with Nick several times before purchasing the vehicle. The actual day of purchase - Nick was not working. The following has no reflection on Nick. I give Nick a full 5 stars. --------------------------- We purchased the vehicle on a Sunday. We knew exactly which vehicle we wanted. We anticipated only spending an hour or so at the dealership. It was exactly 4.0 hours from the time entered the dealership until we left. This was not a pleasurable experience. The dealership should address this issue. Spending 4.0 hours to purchase a vehicle = 2 stars. --------------------------- First contact with service dept. They were supposed to install a cargo cover and splash guards as part of purchase agreement (which the service dept needed to order). A few days after purchasing the vehicle, the service dept called me and said the cargo cover and splash guards were available to install. I set an appointment for service. Upon arrival, I found the neither the cargo cover or splash guards were available for installation. The splash guards ordered were for a Rio (not a Soul) and the cargo cover was really similar to a net. The parts personnel stated they did not carry a cargo cover for a Soul. I provided them a link to the Kia Accessory Store and showed them the cargo cover. I decided to just order the cover on my own (w/o using the service dept). 1 star --------------------------- I really liked Nick (sales person) and the vehicle. The above complaints should have no reflection on Nick or the vehicle. More
Vinod did everything that he could to get us the best deal possible on our trade as well on the vehicle that we were purchasing. We really appreciated the fact that everyone from sales rep to finance sta deal possible on our trade as well on the vehicle that we were purchasing. We really appreciated the fact that everyone from sales rep to finance stayed there until the entire process was over. He even took the time to switch over our license plates and there was a full tank of gas in the car when we drove off the lot which was generous!! We were there until almost 9 or 10pm and even got a slice of pizza before leaving. I will most definitely recommend Shawnee Mission Kia and Vinod Shirley to everyone I know. More

He will be the one I call when I need another car next fall. Due to an auto accident, my family was atempting to purchase a hard to obtain vehicle while I was out of town on business for 8 days. There was a 24 hour window of time to complete the purchase transaction and get a family member back to his last year of college. Though I was unavailable to come to the dealership anytime prior to picking up the car, Thomson made sure the vehicle was onsite and the transaction was smooth. More
Being able to gather information via instant chat was a HUGE reason for choosing this dealership in the first place. Nick answered most of my questions via their instant message tool on their website, so I didn't have to spend the entire day at the dealership. He was also honest with me from the beginning about what I could expect to get for what I was willing to spend. I would (and have already) reccommend this dealership and salesperson to my friends/family who are in the marked for a new vehicle. And when we are ready to buy again, my husband and I will certainly return to them if possible. More
Thompson was great to work with with. We started out by emailing and I appreciated that he responded to my e-mails promptly and with the answers I needed. I grew up in car family, my Grandpa worked for Fo emailing and I appreciated that he responded to my e-mails promptly and with the answers I needed. I grew up in car family, my Grandpa worked for Ford for 55 years as was Time Magazine Dealer of the year several times. So I know a good salesman and Thompson is one. He was not pushy or overbearing and allowed me time to think when I needed to. I would most definently recommend Thompson to any of my friends should they be in the market for a car. More
Nick had me sold during a meeting at a coffee shop. His great personality and knowledge of the autos were a major plus in my decision to buy from your dealership. Mr Omboga met us at the door, answered all our questions, was very courteous and friendly. He patiently showed us the vehicles we were interested in, let us drive them, and got us the deal we wanted. I did not get a 2nd Key when I bought car, took 2 visits, and still had to wait. poor service and follow through. Told they would bring new key on friday finally got it Tuesday.
