This was the first dealership I called and got someone who cared about my situation. Nick even got my previous dealer to lower the the price of my old car so I could do a trade-in. My visit to Shawnee Mission Kia was great! My sales rep was Rocco and he make the whole process so easy. I went in thinking they would not be able to help me do to my credit, but they did everything than was Rocco and he make the whole process so easy. “I am one car sale away from my bonus”, “We want to sell you this car”, “Make me an offer, my boss said no one is walking away this month. We’re selling everyone a car.” I can’t remember all the lines we we you this car”, “Make me an offer, my boss said no one is walking away this month. We’re selling everyone a car.” I can’t remember all the lines we were told. Test drove and found the car we wanted. Walked inside, sat down and got ready to negotiate. To my astonishment, the price we were initially offered was almost $1,000 over the sticker MSRP plus the $399 paper work processing fee. All this is before we even really started talking. Only a sucker pays MSRP or sticker price, but to jack it up another $1,000 with no explanation is ridiculous. Forget about asking to see the factory invoice, they print one from the internet. Ask about all the added fees such as hold back fee, advertisement fee, and who knows what else fee, and they are done with you. Oh, not to mention the sticker price included the delivery fee which they tried to add again with their initial offer. The general sales manager came over to talk fees with me, and he sat down and showed me the internet invoice price. Then he proceeded to tell me, “This MSRP plus the $399 paper work fee is what you will pay for the car or there is no deal.” I said thank you, shook his hand and went to Olathe KIA and bought the same car for $2,000 less, all after hours none the less. These people don't even rate 1 star...I have had them call me 2 or 3 times to return for "guaranteed" credit. i finally agreed to go in to see them last week. I had a finance man by the name of Mike Reed call me 2 or 3 times to return for "guaranteed" credit. i finally agreed to go in to see them last week. I had a finance man by the name of Mike Reed tells me i only needed to come in to speak to the lender over the phone and that everything else was done. I get there, speak to a new salesman by the name of Roger NIchols, never did meet Mr Reed. Was never shown a car. I kept asking the salesman what the problem was and he kept stating that he was new and that the finance people were working on it, but wold not give ihm any info. After 2 hours of this I left. I went to another dealer last night and was given a test drive and great service. Problem is that when they ran the credit for the car, the finance people explained to me that Shawnee Mission Kia had ran my credit so many times that in the 2 hours i was there that they had DROPPED MY SCORE 70 POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! So of course now I don't qualify for Jack!!!!! I would not recommend this place to a dog if they were giving away free food. More
Prior to coming to your dealership, I knew that I wanted a KIA. I went to three other KIA dealerships during the same time period. I found myself in the unenviable position of having my car totaled by someone (not my fault) recently after making only three payments. I needed a replacement car fast and since I purchased my last vehic car totaled by someone (not my fault) recently after making only three payments. I needed a replacement car fast and since I purchased my last vehicle at SM Kia I decided to go back there because they were willing to finance me despite my less than stellar credit report. Well, Bobby Harris went out of his way to make certain that I got another fuel efficient car at the same payment as the previous car. Overall am very pleased with the service of Bobby and also the Business Management office of Shawnee Mission Kia. I give Bobby two "thumbs up" for his service and dedication to his customers. More
