I needed 2 key fobs for a used Kia I just bought, for which the previous used car dealer did not provide due to it being a repo. They got me in fast enough but charged me over $600 for the 2 key fobs. Th which the previous used car dealer did not provide due to it being a repo. They got me in fast enough but charged me over $600 for the 2 key fobs. This is highway robbery, they know we don’t have many reliable choices. I was not provided a “key code” which I found out later is needed to make the mechanical key! The locksmith (SM Kia said I was better off getting my own lock smith) needs this to make a key, you would think Kia would know this and provide it, me having just spent over $600 for 2 key fobs. All they did was say “you can call Kia Corporate and get it”…while the locksmith waits. I’m sure this will take at least another hour of my time, they could have provided in minutes. More
