Informing me about the vehicle, letting me take it for a test drive and taking about financial options. At the end of it all the staff stayed well past the closing hours to finalize all the paper, wash the car and prepare it for me to take home that day. More

Smooth and easy for an out of state purchaser Though I live in Maryland, through the internet I found the T-Bird I wanted to buy at Shaker's. First I spoke with Jim Schiavo, who recognized I was Though I live in Maryland, through the internet I found the T-Bird I wanted to buy at Shaker's. First I spoke with Jim Schiavo, who recognized I was a serious potential buyer, and that I was not going to travel to Connecticut to look at the car without some good information up front. So he got right down to business discussing everything frankly and openly, including the bottom line price. To my surprise, he said they'd pick me (and my wife) up at the airport when it came time for the visit before cementing the purchase. When I said I wanted an independent mechanic to look at the car, Jim readily agreed, and gave me several local recommendations, and I found one that suited me perfectly. Phil Rice then became involved, and over the course of the next week, Phil found answers to all of my questions (and I kept asking a lot of questions and seeking documentation!), and we were in frequent communication. Phil also took the car to the independent mechanic for the inspection, and when all the hurdles were cleared, Phil picked us up at the airport, even though the deal would not be final until I personally saw and tested the car. Phil even struggled with us and spent a lot of time on the phone with Southwest Airlines to cancel the afternoon return flight, since we did buy the car and didn't need to fly home. Everything about the car and in the process of buying it was exactly as Jim and Phil had represented, the car passed the independent inspection with flying colors, and I bought the car and drove it home to Maryland that same day. Dealing with Cindy for the final paperwork was delightful---she is capable and knowledgeable about what it takes to transport a car from Connecticut to Maryland before it is registered in Maryland.
