It was a great experience and not only did I choose the Explorer bc its a great car but I also chose the dealership, bc I knew it would be a terrific place to have my car serviced. Great experience! 2014 Superduty aka big red & Jim Reed My wife and I got Jim Reed's name from a friend, they have bought from him before and said " Jim is great" My wife bought a 2009 Ford Escape from Jim My wife and I got Jim Reed's name from a friend, they have bought from him before and said " Jim is great" My wife bought a 2009 Ford Escape from Jim and we always knew that if we bought another Ford we would go back to Jim He is very knowledgable and very friendly and we did not feel pressure from him .That is why I went back to Shakers and Jim Reed when it was time to buy a new truck and plow . I bought a new 2014 Super Duty 4x4 very basic truck with a plow I spent about 1 1/2 hours there talking and signing paperwork the 2 extras I wanted that were not on the truck were done on time and very well 3days later I drove out very happy with the new truck and the service. The vehicles were always ready when Jim said they would be and you can tell he takes pride in his job. He always calls to make sure we are happy with our vehicles. We have never recommended a car dealer to anyone before, but we have recommended Jim to our children and friends. Thanks Jim you made our car experience painless. More

Best dealership experience ...ever I bought a pre-owned Volvo that was a trade-in to Shaker. I live in northern Vermont and saw the car listed on their website, called to get more info I bought a pre-owned Volvo that was a trade-in to Shaker. I live in northern Vermont and saw the car listed on their website, called to get more info, and subsequently made an appointment to drive to Watertown CT to see the car. I met with James Cianciolo, who was a delight to work with. In preparation for my visit, James familiarized himself thoroughly with the car (I especially appreciated that, since Shaker doesn't sell Volvos!), test drove the car with me, and was able to answer all my questions. I wound up putting a deposit on the car that day and made arrangements to come back to pick it up later in the week. The negotiation and purchase process with James was transparent, honest and -most importantly - respectful. I hadn't intended to, but I also financed the car through Shaker - which is something I usually dread doing with a dealership and have avoided for my entire car-driving life. But meeting with Manny Pinho, the Business Manager, was also a great experience and I decided to bite the bullet and go with their financing. It was a much better rate than my normal bank, or anywhere else I could find - and Manny made the process painless. I faxed the application to him on Wednesday, and by Saturday he had all the financing arranged and papers ready to sign when I picked up the car on Saturday. Buying from Shaker was the most pleasant and professional experience I've ever had with a dealer. I don't drive a Ford (yet), but I've already told my Ford-driving friends in Vermont about Shakers and have encouraged them to make the trip to see them in CT for their next car purchase. GREAT EXPERIENCE!! I was in need of a dependable used car that would provide good mileage and comfort. My online research convinced me that the Ford Fusion Hybrid would I was in need of a dependable used car that would provide good mileage and comfort. My online research convinced me that the Ford Fusion Hybrid would be a good starting point. I found that Shaker Family Ford had 3 models to choose from. I came into the showroom a half hour before close on a saturday and spoke with James Cianciolo. He asked me a few questions regarding my needs and spending comfort. I test drove a used Focus and was impressed with the vehicle. However, the Focus was just too small for my needs. James asked if I would like to test drive one of the Fusions for comparison but I declined as it was just minutes before 5PM. I did take a few minutes to look at the cars and sit in them to get a feel for the comfort. I told James that i would be back. Yesterday, (the following Saturday) James called to touch base and we scheduled an appointment for later in the morning. I test drove the car.
