Great dealership! My family has bought several cars from them. The service is great, and the sales and service employees are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I really regret buying a new 2021 Ford Explorer. I tried to do a direct order with you however the backlog was too long with the pandemic and I had to search high and low for one until I found one. I tried to do a direct order with you however the backlog was too long with the pandemic and I had to search high and low for one until I found one. I figured I would come to you and bring it for service and routine maintenance so you still got some business. You are my dealer of choice! I wanted to come back for future purchases. I came to quick lane and was denied service and said I needed to make a appointment. Ok… that’s not easy or convenient. Didn’t know I needed that for a oil change. So I scheduled for the next week. I asked about the front Ford Logo on my Explorer. Turns out it’s cheap plastic and cracked. The woman in service measured it, confirmed you had it in stock and said it was covered under warranty. That made my wife and I happy. I come back the next week for my oil change and the same woman that helped the previous week me finds me and tells the Ford Emblem is not covered under warranty and it be almost $100 to replace. Wow! Here I have a immaculate 2021 Ford Explorer with less than 11,000 miles and not a dent or scratch anywhere except for this cheap emblem on the front which cracked through no fault of my own. The total sale price on my vehicle was $53,035. I came out of a 2019 Subaru Forrester. I wanted to get the 2021 Subaru Ascent. I needed something bigger. Someone told me the Ford Explorer is made locally in Chicago. I thought that’s great I will support Chicago jobs. When I had my Subaru Forrester a fog light cover fell out. They said it was almost $100 to fix it. That happened through no fault of my own and they did end up replacing it for me at no cost. Especially since I bought a long service package like I did with Ford. The woman at your service department told me it would have been covered if the Ford Emblem had started to rust. How is a piece of plastic going to rust? I park my vehicle far from every one else. I take care of it. It’s an investment. You’ve given me every reason to not trust or want to buy Ford Again. I should have stuck with the Japanese brand. Local guy here trying to support a local manufacturer and a local dealership. Not taken care of. It’s a piece of plastic. To think you won’t replace it and Ford wants to pull even more money out of my pockets. I included a picture of the cheap emblem that broke through no fault of my own. Perfectly taken care of car. 50K wasted on a Ford. You want to charge me $100 for this? How greedy. How awful. Less than 11,000 miles on it. Ford just doesn’t care after you sign on the dotted line and drive off. I had no idea this thing was plastic. I’m so discouraged by this. Why would I want to buy a Ford again? My television remote control is more valuable than this cheap plastic emblem. Now my people are gonna laugh at me for buying a Ford. Everyone said stick with Subaru. Maybe get a Kia or Toyota but stay away from Ford. I wanted to support local jobs. This is my first and last Ford. You lied and said it was covered and than changed your mind. Terrible service. Ford really does stand for Fix or Repair Daily. If the once beautiful blue Ford emblem is this cheap how long will it be until my Ford is Found on the road dead? I’m writing Ford. I’m creating a better Business Bureau complaint against your dealership and against Ford. I feel like I wasted so much money and you won’t even stand behind the cheap plastic with the Ford Stamp on it. I should have stuck with Subaru. I should have bought the Subaru Ascent. I was so happy with my vehicle until this treatment. I was going to stick with Ford. I was going to trade in early again in a couple years and get another new one. I don’t like to keep my cars after the manufacturer warranty is gone. I don’t like to worry about repairs or breakdowns. Now I see how Ford treats customers. I see the corners that are cut. To lose my business over this. Wow. I did not knowingly do a thing to cause your cheap plastic to break other than drive it. $53K isn’t enough for Ford though. They want another $100 for a cracked cheap plastic brand emblem on a new vehicle! More
