This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. The day I bought my 2023 BMW X5 45e, the salesperson told me this car doesn't come with a tow hitch but I could get the regular X5's tow hitch and have it installed by their service department after I pay for it with the salesperson's discount. The very next day when I called to make an appointment to have LoJack installed (not sure why LoJack wasn't already installed), the service department told me they don't do tow hitch installations for my vehicle. The salesperson called me to say that I could come in and buy a regular X5 tow hitch with their discount and have it installed some place else. When I arrived for my LoJack installation appointment, the service department said they can install the tow hitch for the X5 45e but it will cost nearly $4000. And, there's no salesperson discount. A cross town dealer said they will install the factory tow hitch for my X5 45e for $1100. When my wife bought her BMW at a cross town dealership she was given a thank you gift ($25 Starbucks gift card and chocolates) for her purchase. I asked for a $20 car care kit and they told me to pay for it myself. And, I didn't get a thank you gift after spending a considerable amount of money with them. All of my friends own BMW's and are looking to upgrade especially after seeing my new X5. How likely do you think I am to recommend this dealer to my friends? I am not using SM BMW anymore. Pablo Pedia is a disaster in customer service. He is inconsiderate, does not return calls and is generally rude. I am in contact with BMW of North America on this issue. More
