Overall I would describe my experience with Rt 23 as..."ok". I'm pretty surprised by all the 5star reviews here and I'm left feeling even worse about my experience since it appears they're capable o as..."ok". I'm pretty surprised by all the 5star reviews here and I'm left feeling even worse about my experience since it appears they're capable of doing much better. I was there looking for a used truck. Found exactly what I was looking for even though I've never bought used before. Part of the sales pitch explained how good their service is, and how thoroughly they inspect and service all their used vehicles. Sounds good, so I got ready to take it for a test drive. Sat down, started it up, tried to pull out of the parking spot...the power steering was broken. Things happen. I wasn't upset. Came back a week later after they made the repair and took it for a test drive. All seemed well so we agreed on a price. Then they tried to say they didn't offer a warranty on this vehicle despite the large sticker in the window that says it has a warranty. Unimpressed a 2nd time. Then had to wait for the business manager to finalize the paperwork Was kept waiting over an hour despite it being relatively late, and the place was pretty empty. When shown into the manager's office there was no apology, or explanation. He didn't even look at me, or introduce himself,s hake my hand etc. I still don't know his name. We finalized the deal and I drove off. Saw there was less than a 1/4 tank of gas. Unimpressive. 24hrs later we turned around and drove back to drop off the truck. Had another significant problem that needed to be repaired. So much for their expert vehicle inspections. Normally all of this would warrant a 1 or 2 star review but in their defense they did a few things right. Bob was very nice to work with and probably the only redeeming part of the deal. They did honor the warranty and made the 2nd repair without hassle or argument. And they did offer a fair price on the vehicle. But overall, when you're handing over tens of thousands of dollars, and there are many many Ford dealerships on rt23 alone, you should expect more. After writing this, and not posting it, I'm glad. Because after a week, the original problem is back again. They were supposed to call me four days ago to discuss, but that never happened. We're down to 1.5 stars. More
Going in to buy our new car we had many concerns and trepidations, however, once we met Dayton many of our concerns were alleviated. He was not "pushy" at all, rather he was attentive, personable, know trepidations, however, once we met Dayton many of our concerns were alleviated. He was not "pushy" at all, rather he was attentive, personable, knowledgeable and fair. He tried to meet all of our needs while at the same time answering all of our questions. His salesmanship and his willingness to understand us and work with us is ultimately what kept us at the dealership and eventually led to us purchasing the car. We would , without a doubt, work with him again and/ or refer friends to him. We were very pleased. More

My husband and I went to Route 23 Ford to look at both the Explorer and Edge. The receptionist asked for the next available salesman to come to the floor and that is how we ended up with Steve Secor. Steve asked us what we were looking for in a vehicle, who would be the primary driver, how many kids we have, are sports part of the mix, etc. By asking us all of these questions he was able to give us the pros and cons of each vehicle. He then explained the different packages that were available and roughly where that would put us payment wise. My favorite thing about Steve was that he was not pushy in any way. Our needs were his concern, not the sale. Ultimately, we decided on the Edge, but did not purchase that night. This was simply because we didn't care for the colors that were available and because we couldn't decide on which options we wanted. When we left, Steve simply said thank you and if you have any questions, please let me know. Even after leaving and not going back for approximately another 2 1/2 weeks, Steve still was not pushy. He called to let us know they received more inventory and asked that we let him know when we would like to come in again. The evening we went back the first thing Steve said was "Thank you for coming back". We narrowed it down to two cars and Steve in great detail explained the differences and gave his opinion as to which one he thought we should purchase....................price was not a factor in his opinion. The price was right where we wanted it to be. This was on a Saturday afternoon and on the following Tuesday evening we picked up our car. Needless to say, Steve went over everything with us from front to back and said if we forgot something just give him a call and he'll explain it again or stop in. We absolutely love the Edge. Generally speaking, we love the Ford product line. We highly recommend Route 23 Ford and specifically Steve Secor. An all round nice guy, friendly, great personality, very informative and high attention to customer satisfaction!!!!!! More
This past Saturday my wife and I visited Rt 23 Auto Mall in Butler to see about trading in our 2008 Nissan Rogue. We were greeted promptly by Mr. Dayton Lau as we arrived at the entrance of the dealership in Butler to see about trading in our 2008 Nissan Rogue. We were greeted promptly by Mr. Dayton Lau as we arrived at the entrance of the dealership showroom. Dayton sat down with us and spent time patiently answering all of our questions and addressing our concerns about replacing our vehicle. We were made to feel very welcome, and at ease as he helped us decide our options. I have been to many different dealerships, and have dealt with many salespeople over the past 30 years, but I have to say that Rt 23 Auto Mall is without a doubt the best car buying experience I have ever had. I have to also say that the reason I feel this way is because of Mr Lau. Dayton made us feel like we were the most important people there that day. We left the dealership feeling much better then we started out that day in our "new to us" 2010 GMC Acadia. I highly recommend this dealership. Give them a chance,and when you get there look for Dayton Lau. You will be very happy that you did. Ron & Doris Hild More
The reason for my visit today was to explore Ford as an option for my first car. I knowingly visited on the last day of the month, which is the day sales quotas for the month are due, to see how they treat option for my first car. I expected an attitude of dismissal and scorn, which were evident at the many other dealers I visited today. Instead, Route 23 Ford and my contact there, Dayton Lau, expressed a very different attitude, one of service and respect. Dayton was intelligent, highly professional, frank, and informative. I know I have an unusual method of buying, but I know that all customers want that kind of contact that I had with a dealer. Route 23 Ford and Dayton Lau delivered. -Kevin More

Our overall experience at Route 23 Ford, was by far an outstanding one! We came in with a 2004 Dodge Caravan and left with 2014 Ford Explorer!! Never did it cross my mind that we would be leaving with a b outstanding one! We came in with a 2004 Dodge Caravan and left with 2014 Ford Explorer!! Never did it cross my mind that we would be leaving with a brand new vehicle. What a blessing it was for us!! We dealt with various individuals like Julian from finance who sat down with us and answered all our questions and took his time out to inform us of which option would work best for us considering we didn't have an appointment. We were than introduced to Dayton! What can we say about him. He was one intellectual individual and very informative, about our choice of vehicle. He took the extra time out to explain things that we weren't familiarized with. He demonstrated how much he likes what he does and also about satisfying us as his customers. I would like to thank Dayton along with Julian and General Manger Wayne for making this experience one we will never forget!:) P.S. Thanks for the gift!!!!:).....you guys were the best!!
