The dealership is nice. Big showroom, clean, friendly people. The salesman I worked with, Jorge, is a really good salesman and has very good people skills. I have a couple big issues with the dealership and because of that will probably never go back there. First, I was there for 7 1/2 hours and for the life of me can't figure out what took so long. I had an appointment at 1:30pm and didn't leave until they were locking the doors and cleaning the floors. If they were trying to convince me to buy something I was already on board with that as long as they weren't trying to rip me off. Which brings me to my second and bigger issue When I decided on a vehicle, the sales manager kept wanting to talk to me about what my monthly payments would be instead of showing me their numbers and calculations written down. When I used an amortization schedule on my phone to show them their numbers didn't make any sense then they made a more reasonable offer. So what they tried to do without explaining where the extra amounts were was charge me an extra 5 to 6 thousand dollars over the life of the loan. That feels basically dishonest to me. I don't blame the dealership for trying to make a profit but don't try to rip me off in the process. More

Excellent Customer Service I went back to Route 22 Toyota at Hillside, New Jersey to return my 2017 Toyota Camry due to the fact that my Lease was up back in July 15, 2020 I was I went back to Route 22 Toyota at Hillside, New Jersey to return my 2017 Toyota Camry due to the fact that my Lease was up back in July 15, 2020 I was greeted and given full attention by the gentleman who afford to present me to the right person who could assist me in the transaction. I was sincerely surprised because i was returning a vehicle and not purchasing one, nevertheless I was treated with great respect and attention. I was not looking to purchase a new vehicle at this time but I am strongly considering it due to the attention and service given to me by Mr. Jorge Mejia's. Thanking you in advance Dennis Rolon More
This place is always full of bad surprises for us, I have been a Toyota loyal customer for years even though they've screwed me up a lot of times and HOWARD NEWMAN did not help us at all. All he did is give been a Toyota loyal customer for years even though they've screwed me up a lot of times and HOWARD NEWMAN did not help us at all. All he did is give us his extension number for us to call and say I can't do anything. Now a new problem has merged, due covid my mom bought a polymer plastic sheet and paid about $300 in total somewhere else to get it installed. I went in for a service on Friday and told both the technician and the receptionist to please make sure the seat doesn't get moved as the plastic could break. When I get back to pick up the car they had moved the seat and broken the plastic. I clearly told them to NOT move the seat and they moved it anyway. Raul Urgiles replied that he understands to come back on monday to please return on Monday so the manager can help me out and get things fixed for me. The manager TOM CARRINO was nothing but a rude, unprofessional and disrespectful person! He YELLED at my husband and I telling us to get the car out of there because he refuses to fix anything, slamming the door in our face and walked away! This is not the way a customer should ever be treated!!!! DO NOT come to route 22 Toyota or their service! It's not worth it, they are unprofessional and disrespectful. They will treat you nice only until you but but then screw you in any way. And make sure you ALWAYS read every they want you to sign and record whatever they say to you with your phone as proof. More
