Service Appointments are Not Actual Service Appointments I scheduled a service appointment online to drop my 2013 Jeep JKU off for trans problems I did so online, specifically stating that it was for auto tr I scheduled a service appointment online to drop my 2013 Jeep JKU off for trans problems I did so online, specifically stating that it was for auto trans issues. (Why my 55k mile Jeep is having trans problems is a completely separate issue and is not the fault of Rochester Jeep) The morning of the service "appointment" I came in a was surprised to find out that my vehicle could be dropped off but would not even be troubleshot for another week. I did not leave my vehicle as I needed it for mundane things like driving to work and could not be without a vehicle for an uncertain period of time greater than a week. After emailing the service manager later that morning, I was told that my service "appointment" was not for actual service but to do paperwork in the promise of work to be performed at the convenience of the dealership in some point in the future. The email continued that they were "at least a week behind in transmissions just to have them diagnosed". I truly wish that I had been told upfront when to expect actual work, at a minimum, to be started. Should I have be told a realistic time frame ahead of time, I could have made a more informed choice of who to have service my vehicle. More
