I AM A SORE LOSER - BUT WANT TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE 1 star to get your attention - First of all, it is my fault, I bought a car that was over priced and did not complete proper due diligence. After figu 1 star to get your attention - First of all, it is my fault, I bought a car that was over priced and did not complete proper due diligence. After figuring out that I purchased a car that was not in the "premium package" tier, but was sold to me at that price point, I came back to the dealership to see if something could be worked out. Background: The vehicle purchased is non-premium packaged 2017 X5 sold to me at $37K. As I was getting to know the car, I realized it had some quirks such as the user settings I programmed would reset on their own, the headlights would malfunction, etc. I just became unhappy with the car and realizing I over paid, just kept making the situation worse. 23 days later, I found same year, slightly less mileage, premium packaged car for $33k at their Charlotte location. I went to the CHS location and asked if we could switch out the cars. AGAIN, yes, I bought the car, took it off the lot, lost value the minute I drove off the lot...I BOUGHT THE TICKET and signed up for the ride, I get it. The staff appraised my vehicle and gave me numbers that just would not work. I realize I sound like a sore loser.....I don't feel like they worked hard enough for me to try to get it done. I did not walk in there and yell, complain and be rude. I feel like they should have got it done. Moral of the story; complete your due diligence on a vehicle or you are stuck. The dealership is in business to make money and that's OK. I think there was room to make this work for me, but they wouldn't help me. More
