Just wanted to provide an update and in no means is this directed at the quality of Subaru vehicles. As I mentioned in my review the buying experience was pleasant but less than 10 days after purchasing my Subaru Outback my credit union beat the financing of my Subaru with a much better offer. So I refinanced and hence started the problems. Since I took out GAP insurance when I purchased and when I refinanced I asked for a refund from Subaru financing and Randy Marion. GAP Insurance through Subaru Finance was $399 and after 4 months of asking where the refund was located I received $88. I find that this small refund to be very large rip-off. Since purchasing my vehicle when anyone asks me about Subaru I provide the positives of the vehicle but I express caution in regards to Subaru financing. I have told everyone that they should go into the dealership with their own financing determined and NOT to use Subaru financing. I called Subaru National asking if they can provide any assistance. After waiting on the phone for 20-25 minutes the lady politely said that there is nothing that she can do and thank you for your Subaru purchase. So I have to question the brochures that they pass out during the purchase that shows Subaru standing behind their vehicles and their strong customer support. Will I purchase another Subaru in the future-maybe/yes. Will it be from any North Carolina Subaru dealer-Probably not.
