I got a different story every time I called about what was wrong, as well as deadlines that they didn't meet. They rarely if ever followed up with me, requiring me to constantly call them to get updates. They acted like I was a pest the whole time. Finally get the car back and there are now two dents in the car and they won't return my calls. Shady, shady dealership and service department. More

A gem in the rough I received a quote from Michael Yums that I had to confirm with him more than twice to make sure there's no mistake as it was so much lower than other I received a quote from Michael Yums that I had to confirm with him more than twice to make sure there's no mistake as it was so much lower than others. In addition, Michael was the only dealer out of the 6 Mazda dealerships, ranging from Salinas to Tracy, who saw that I was a serious buyer, even when the numbers I presented to him were low. He came back to me with quotes that beat everyone else a couple of times (some haggling occurred here) and we were eventually able to close on a deal pretty quickly. With the numbers he gave me it was a no brainer. Even on my way to the dealership, I was expecting to encounter some unpleasant surprises but low and behold, that wasn't the case. I encountered a pleasant and easy going atmosphere, a clean dealership (you can tell the dealership is clean when the restrooms are clean and well maintained), with coffee, tea and pastries for the customers. When I met Michael, he was very easy going and courteous and wasn't pushy, not your typical salesperson. It was a pleasure doing business with him. The finance part went pretty quickly with some of the expected pressure, but no surprises there and it actually was quicker and smoother than I thought. Overall, I left the dealership after the purchase feeling good and not drained or stressed out as often occurs when buying a car. I highly recommend Putnam Mazda and Michael Yums! More
