Let me start by saying, the young salesman was very good. My issue is with their service department. My first time purchasing a car from a dealership.. I purchased a 2021 Subaru Outback Limited. I ha My issue is with their service department. My first time purchasing a car from a dealership.. I purchased a 2021 Subaru Outback Limited. I have never owned a Subaru. I have also never paid this much for a car. I heard that they are very good cars , safety, mechanically and hold their value. Three hours of having the car, all the internal lights were on! Including Check Engine light! Needless to say I was pretty upset and concerned especially because it was just certified! They took the car for a few days and said it was the Thermal Control Valve. It was bad. I asked if this was something they had just checked 8n order to certify, and the answer was yes! Apparently, it went bad a day or so after certification. I understand these things can happen. The service manager assured me that everything was good now. Then a few days after having it back, we noticed steam and a burning smell coming from under the hood. When we got home we opened the hood to find that the coolant container was bone dry! Nothing, Nada , Zilch! I was so upset that they didn’t bother to check the fluids!? Seriously? They had ample opportunity to return my car to me with this checked! I called the service manager and she tried to explain it away.. that I didn’t understand how cars work and that the reservoir didn’t need anything in it! And then she questioned whether there was anything in it a few times more. She didn’t want to hear it! I am completely dissatisfied with their so called “Service Department “. They were sloppy and completely incompetent! And didn’t want to take any accountability! I am so sorry I purchased from, and will never do it again or recommend anyone I know to them! More

The first time I came in, they said they would beat the discounts offered by other dealerships. They even gave me a detailed price sheet on the model I was looking at. A couple of days later I came back with a competitive offer, and true to their word, they gave me a bigger discount, and made the purchase of my new Subaru super smooth. From the reps to the finance manager, everyone was friendly, not pushy, and honest, which are rare qualities to find at a dealership. More
We recently worked with Miguel to purchase our 2024 Subaru Ascent Touring and had a flawless experience. We were in search of a specific interior color that proved extremely hard to find, so when we found one incoming to Putnam Subaru we reached out to Miguel. He was excellent with communication, giving us updated timelines on our vehicle arrival without pressure or scare tactics. When it came time to go purchase the car he was transparent about pricing via email and didn't give us a run around when we asked for numbers (the price was fair and in line with two other Subaru dealerships we had communicated with.) We told Miguel we would need to come in on a weekday evening and would have our two very young kids, so we needed the deal closed in 2 hours or less otherwise a meltdown was imminent. Miguel promised this could be done and, even when we last minute found a babysitter, he still got us out the door on time. Finally, what I appreciated most as a female was that Miguel listened to me and talked to me equally, instead of just defaulting to my husband which sadly happened at other dealerships. He understood when I made it clear I was interested in the features of my mom car and didn't waste my time blaring speakers and talking about paddle shifters. We're looking forward to meeting with Ricardo to go over the new features of our Ascent and appreciate that Putnam offers this service. More

This is the WORST Subaru dealership in the area. The service guys seemed very nice and then tried to get me to do a bunch of unnecessary work for an exorbitant amount of money. Do not trust them.
