A week later I made an appointment to test drive the vehicle that he recommended. I test drove the vehicle and fell in love, in addition Mr. Schwartz reduced my APR and made financing the vehicle affordable. I thank Potamkin Hyundai, Mr. Schwartz and Ron for making my new vehicle experience a pleasurable and memorable one. After getting a great price quote online, I was contacted by general manager Jack Schwartz within the hour. He told me that he would honor the price and that was it; there were no additional fees that I would have to pay. It really was that simple! Derek Russo was pleasant and modest as I walked into the showroom. He let me take my time, and did not pressure me at all. When I returned the next day, I met with the finance manager who explained details of the warranty thoroughly. He spent time figuring out all options and answering all my questions. Then I found out the dealership had already taken care of getting license plates and registering the car. Derek had called to let me know that he had a prior commitment so he wouldn’t be able to meet with me, but his coworker Nelson would help me. Nelson was another pleasure to work with; he explained every feature to me and made sure I understood it all. I still cannot believe that I got the exact car I was interested in at such a great price! I truly thank the professionals at Potamkin Hyundai for their honesty, efficiency, and integrity! More

He gave me all the answers to my questions and was not phony. Once I arrived to the dealership I was given the same information I was told on the phone. I also worked with Derek Russo who was a genuine, humble human being which is RARE when working with salesman at a car dealership. I left with a great car at a reasonable price in a short amount of time with no hassle at all. I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership for anyone who is looking to lease a Hyundai. I wasted a lot of time looking elsewhere ! More

Out of the dealership in 2 hours (including trip to the bank to get the bank check). Very simple and straight process; upfront negotiation and agreement was key. It was so rare that your car buying experience is relaxed and insightful. It is even rarer when the GM himself, mentors his sales team. My wife and I are very, very happy with our new Hyundai Hybrid. I had a Hyundai Sonata that was getting ready to come off of lease. I liked the car and was seriously considering buying it outright. Before doing so, I decided to shop around to see what type of deal I mi of lease. I liked the car and was seriously considering buying it outright. Before doing so, I decided to shop around to see what type of deal I might be able to get on a new lease. I first shopped at a Westchester County (NY) dealership and received was I thought was a good price. Then, before I was ready to finalize the deal I did some more research online and came across Potamkin Hyundai, which was offering an excellent lease price on Sonatas. I submitted an internet price quote and received a very quick call back from the General Manager, Jack Schwartz. The request was placed after hours, and the call back was after hours as well. Jack told me that the price quote was for a car that had fewer features than I was looking for, but as we talked further and he learned I had a low mileage Hyundai coming off lease he told me to come into the dealership, and if the car was in good shape he would offer me the car I wanted with the features I wanted at the same low price. I was very pleased with the offer, but worried that when I got there I might discover some loop hole that would leave me paying more. I am very pleased to say Jack is a man of his word, and the deal we discussed by phone was the deal he put in writing, and it was the deal I got when I bought the car. The salesman who helped with the transaction was Carlos Camecho, who was knowledgeable, friendly, and helped facilitate the transaction at each step along the way. I am very pleased with all aspects of the experience, which is not generally the case for me when i buy a car. Others who have written reviews about this dealership say exactly the same thing I feel -- Jack and his team are straight shooters who made me feel like they wanted my business and would make a fair (and aggressive) offer to make that happen. I highly recommend Potamkin Hyundai. More
I was dreading the whole buying/leasing a new car I was dreading the whole buying/leasing a new car experience that we have all gone through, and I did this time as well, of going into a few I was dreading the whole buying/leasing a new car experience that we have all gone through, and I did this time as well, of going into a few local dealerships and doing that whole dance of looking at cars, test driving a few, then dealing with the salesperson who is always trying to up-sell you more options than you wanted. Then once you've decided on what you want, has to go back and forth with his sales manager 5-6 times before you got to the actual "best" price they could do. It always seems like they are playing games with you to wear you down, like they don't actually know what the best price is from the very beginning. Before you know it you've been there for 3-4 hours and your precious day off is just about wasted. I am done with that. My wife and I are hard working middle class people, who pay our bills, on time, our credit is top tier, and our time off from work is valuable. During my initial research online I had put on some website the make and model we were looking for. Within an hour I received a dozen or so phone calls from different Hyundai dealers from around the tri-state new york city area, I live on Long Island, looking to "get me in the car I wanted" and "give me the best deal". Some of these calls were from the very dealers I had wasted time with the previous few weekends, inviting me to come in and go through it all again. No thanks. The couple I did call back, some close to me and a few others 30-60 minutes away, couldn't or didn't want to discuss anything over the phone, probably because they couldn't make any decisions without the Ok from the sales manager. My point to this long winded (I'm sorry for that) story is that one of the calls I received that day was from Jack Schwartz, the General Manager from Potamkin Hyundai. He sounded like a nice man. But really, the general manager is making return calls from a blip on a website, who are they kidding? So I had to call him back to check this out. What a breath of fresh air, after speaking a few minutes to him I assumed that he would push me off to some sales flunky to take me the rest of the way. But no, We went over what I was looking for, what options I wanted. He knew his product, knew all the option packages, and what came with each. On my word that my credit was top tier we talked about pricing. He gave me a great price point the first time, no going back and forth. He knew his customers well too, he knew that I lived about a 45-60 minute drive from him, depending on traffic, he knew and spoke openly to me, that if he didn't give me his best pricing up front that there was not much chance that I would make the drive to his dealership. He was probably right. But his deal seemed good, and fair, compared to the all over the map numbers I was getting. He didn't push or put the hard sell on me. Told me to think about it, check the numbers out and call him back if I were interested in coming in to meet him and try to make a deal. After a few days, I did make the trip, skeptical at first, but my skepticism was put to rest right away, Jack met with me, showed me the car we had discussed on the phone, had it in stock just like he said. I actually didn't buy that car though, I actually up-sold myself, I went for the same model with more options, And still Jack didn't see it as an opportunity to take advantage, he took it as an opportunity to sell a different car, and make a happy customer, price was still good and fair for what we got, and it only took a few hours, signed the paperwork, they cleaned up the car, spent the time with me going over all the options the car had to offer, and how they all worked. I drove away from a car dealership with a whole new idea of how buying or leasing a new car should happen. No xx, no spending all day haggling, get right to the bottom line. If you looking for a straight shooter, no xx, I would reccomend you call Jack @ Potamkin Hyundai, He didn't waste my time, didn't try to up-sell me, I did that myself as we all can. I didn't feel like I got played, and still don't. He's lived up to everything he said he would do. Dealing with Jack and his staff, was a pleasure. Courteous, polite, even offered to buy me lunch while I waited for the paperwork to go through and my insurance company to get insurance cards over to them. Respect is the key word, I felt respected as the consumer, and I definitely respect the way they at Potamkin Hyundai and especially Jack Schwartz do business. More
