Carlos Camacho (sales) met me when I entered the dealership for a test drive and was very pleasant and professional . He first talked to me about the car I wanted to test drive and explained all the dealership for a test drive and was very pleasant and professional . During the approximately 20 min test drive he continued to inform me of the vehicles features and answered all my questions regarding the cars capabilities. When we returned he asked me what I thought and asked if I had any more questions or concerns, never any pressure to purchase. He introduced me to the General Manager, Mr. Jack Schwartz, who was also very pleasant and took his time to to engage me in a pleasant chit-chat on a friendly basis, we spoke about just growing up in New York. He also never attempted to pressure me to purchase the vehicle. I told Carlos that I would get back to him in a few days about the vehicle and left. That evening I decided to purchase the vehicle and returned the next day. When I entered I was greeted by Mr. Schwartz, who remembered my name, in the parking lot and he asked if he could help me. The staff was all very attentive and helpful and even went out of their way to help me get a lower APR on a loan, both Mike's from financing were excellent. I drove home in a new 2013 Elantra with a smile on my face. I recommend that if you want a pleasant buying experience you visit Potamkin Hyundai. The staff there bends over backwards to assist you in any way they can, two thumbs UP!!! More
I went in to browse for a vehicle even last month and although I am not in the market for the next 3 months the staff was friendly, attentive and very informative. This review is for my dealings with the store's general manager, Jack Schwartz. I submitted a request for a price quote. He called me within 15 minutes. He was up front and told me that he didn't have the exact trim package that I wanted but to give him sometime to find it. He called the next day and told me he found it. To come in and test drive a similar one he did have in stock. I was up front and told him that I didn't want any hidden fees at the end. He assured me that there were going to be none. The car I wanted had to brought in from another dealer. He told that if I decided to go with something he has in stock he can worked a really good deal for me. He wasn't bsing. While I went in for one type of car, my wife had her eyes set on a different type (of course). So I asked about the car my wife liked. After a while he came back with a price. After doing some research, the price was good enough that we decided to go with it. Again, I want to emphasize, this review is with my dealings with Jack. More
After shopping online and deciding on the car I wanted to purchase I had an internet CHAT with a rep from their site. She connected me with a Sales Rep from thge location. I told the rep that I had come down to two cars and I wanted to see them and go for a test drive. The site clearly states that they have a free xxxxtle service. I asked the Sales Rep if it was possible to have the shuttle pick me up. I was told it was not available. I only live a few miles away, so I asked if there were another way for them to have me visit their location. I explained where I lived and he put me on hold while he asked a superior about my request. When he came back to the phone he explained to me how to get to the location via public transportation. I was a little taken aback, so I asked if when would it be possible to have a ride pick me up. The Rep told me that I could take a cab, and IF I did make a purchase they would credit the cost of the cab to their location. At that point I realized that this was not the place to spend my money. I can't imagine what their service would be like after making a purchase and driving away from their dealership. More
Incapable or fixing an audio issue after 3 visits, extremely rude and not helpful I even tried speaking to the manager that walked away from me as I was talking to him. YOu will think people buy new cars to fix these kind of headache but no. They decided to keep my car overnight and tell me at 4:51pm while i have to go get my son from school and run errands. The manager refused to provide me with a loaner till my car is fixed , when i asked to get my car back for the night he told me my car was no put together and they have no intention in doing so till they fix it and that i better call enterprise to get a rental car. I couldn't believe my ears. More
These guys are a joke. The salesman was not familiar with their cars and kept pushing me to a Mitsubishi. They had very few cars in the showroom - I was hoping to see an Sonata but they only had one trim in their cars and kept pushing me to a Mitsubishi. OK. So I go in and explain it's a cash deal, know what I want and looking for a deal. NO INVENTORY whatsoever and would not admit it. The rep actually told me to slow down, I was moving too fast for him as an educated consumer. They suck, there was no one in the place to begin with which should have been my first sign. What ever happened to customer retention and having them leave happy. And what is with these dealers aggressively attempting to force you into their financing deals with their sweetheart banks.
