Went from lease to purchase. I wanted to get out of my lease early, and didn't know if it was possible because I never leased before. Jason, the Manager, assured me that I could, and came up with how it could be done since I settled on purchasing the 2016 Rogue. I drove the Rogue home late, before it could be detailed and the back seat fixed. But then I was disappointed with the vibration in the car. I remembered there was one Rogue left that I could test drive, so yesterday 1/16/17, I went back and spoke to JT who said I could certainly test drive another. I'm happy to say that was the one! Drove smooth, and peppy, and the interior was perfect. So they let me swop out the first purchase for the second, and all is well. I have Alycia, Brian, and especially JT, who allowed the new process to take place. My thanks to all! More

I had taken my 2014 Subaru crosstrek there for Major body work after I gotten into an accident. It was Porters job to assess my vehicle and determine every single thing that needed to be fixed and report that to my insurance. After having my car for over a month (which I expected) I came to pick it up but when I started my car it sounded like a tractor trailer and when I started to drive it sounded even worse. The noise is so bad that a person who knows absolutely zero about cars would Hear that there was something really wrong. So I turned right back around and went in and told them that there was something still wrong with my car. I don't even think that they looked at it at all because the next day they told me that they thought that it might need an oil change and that's what was making that noise. So, I went again and picked it up and took it directly Matt Slap down the street to get an oil change. The mechanics at Matt Slap almost instantly noticed that the engine mount was breaking and there was something completely not right with my car from the accident still. I really can't believe that porter would return a car that was this obviously broken back to a costumer and claim that it is fixed. It just shows the lack of effort and integrity they have. I would bet 1 million dollars that they didnt even test drive my car before telling me it was ready. It was there job to find and fix everything my car needed and their carelessness is not only completely frustrating but it is also extremely unsafe and could cause someone to get extremely injured. So now I am out of days with my rental car and have no idea what I am going to do. Get your xxxx together Porter for real. More

The person who helped me the most was Zee in the service department. My 2015 Nissan had a transmission issue, which made me unable to drive home to DC. I was stressed and couldn't make it to work or school during the week. Zee took the time to handle my issue and assured me a rental car. He said, "ms. Benjamin we are going to take care of you !" If I have any issues with my car I will defiantly return! Thanks Zee More

Quick and Easy I initiated my car search through TrueCar and got three dealers who supposedly would meet the TrueCar lowest price. Two of the dealers responded with I initiated my car search through TrueCar and got three dealers who supposedly would meet the TrueCar lowest price. Two of the dealers responded with higher estimates and added charges. Jason Channer came in at the quoted price and found an additional incentive for which I qualified. He also provided other options to the original car. My wife and I were very impressed with all he did to get us into the car we wanted at a great price. I do not like shopping and especially car shopping but Jason gave us a great deal and left the decision up to us. When I said I wanted to sleep on it and get back to him the next day there was no pressure to buy the car that day. In fact, I asked how long the deal was good for because I have heard dealers say the price is only good for that day. Instead he told us it was good until the end of the month (when the incentives expired) or if the car sold. I ended up buying the car that day and it was the best car buying experience I have had. He did not have to check with a manager as the deal progressed. I highly recommend the dealership and particularly the salesman Jason Channer. More

My wife considers me a professional car shopper and refuses to go with me anymore. I suppose anyone who takes 2 weeks off work to track down a deal of a lifetime may deserve that title. Of course I did the Edmunds and Truecar certified pricing certificates. However there’s no reason to go this route unless you enjoy being bombarded by 15 emails and phone calls from car dealerships. All you have to do is look at the Truecar website and fair market values. You don't need the certificates. Look at the trends, incentives, pricing and call Jason Channer or I'm sure anyone at Porter Nissan. Trust me you can save yourself so much time and energy. In almost 2 months Porter Nissan's price never changed. It was the 3rd best price nationally not locally but nationally. Obviously the internet has changed the automobile industry and there is only so much even the biggest car dealers can discount. Once you’ve established your price I assume customer service would be the next important item. This is where this dealership excels. In regards to financing, Porter Nissan called Nissan financial and got us moved up a credit tier which in itself saved us 2500.00. We had visited other dealerships and had 2 other deals that didn't go to bat for us towards better financing. We had a car to sell but didn't want to use it as a trade in because the financing they got us was just that good. We could use the money to pay off high interest credit cards instead and this was a big plus to us. Yes many dealers may give you a good trade on your car towards a purchase but how many will give you a good fair price when you're not using it in the deal? Porter Nissan did everything the right way, to benefit us the most. I enjoyed the fact that at Porter Nissan there was no elevated counter with managers looking down at their customers. Very wide open showroom with direct access to all the managers and salespeople’s offices. All I can say is as a customer I've lived in car dealerships. I have commitment issues and probably a mild case of ADD, particularly when it comes to spending my hard earned money. My best tool has always been my ability to walk out of a dealership without feeling any remorse if I feel I'm not treated special. I’m a good judge of character and the several conversations I had with Jason just made me feel it was worth the drive. We were an out of state customer, I had worried that once we got to the dealership everything would change, not the case in regards to our car deal. The attention to customer service we received was the best I’ve experienced in over 20 years and 10 new car purchases. Even after we signed all the papers, Jason took another 2 hours to go over all the options and features of the new Murano with my wife. At this time I had a great chance to get to know some of the other sales people at this time. Alicia, Chuck, Jeremy and Lee continued the great customer service even after the car purchase, towards an out of state customer who had already signed. They obviously enjoy working here, it’s not your average dealer. This is a stress free environment. Very welcoming, modern, spacious and clean Nissan dealership. Thank you, to the managers Gene and Bill who took time to thanks us for the chance to earn our business and following up with us every step of the way. Also thank you Bob Fawley for handling all our financing and paperwork. Not at all intimidating and took his time to go over every aspect of our financing and purchase. He’s an honest straight shooter who gave us actual advice that benefited us, the customer. I know how things can change in the finance office but not here. Jason Channer, I can’t say enough about his attention to detail and over all concern with earning a customer for life. In all my years of car purchases I’ve never experienced someone who truly cares about the customer like he does. Thank you for taking time for me on your days off, making sure my wife was happy with every aspect and even following up with us after the purchase. My final advice, if you’re in the market for a Nissan and live in the tri state area, make sure these guys are one of your first calls. As we drove away and weeks later we still feel we got the best deal possible from a dealership who remembers the old days when the customer has options and deserve a better buying experience. I now realize why Porter Auto Group has been in business for 125 years. As you the customer realize, I can be long winded. Us as consumers depend on these reviews for making mostly the 2nd biggest purchases in our life. Generally I try to keep them short, however the experience we had at this dealership exceeded every expectation we could hope for. This was a great buying experience by an informed educated consumer, and it needed to be told. A.R. Meyer More
