Impressed I've wanted a Porsche Cayenne for a while and was very happy to find that the Porsche I bought surpassed my expectations. At The Quail in 2012 I took a test drive in a Panamera. Shortly thereafter I got a follow up email from John Bassett asking if I had any questions with which he could help me. I responded, my daughter and I took another Panamera test drive with John. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable about the car, and gave us a very enjoyable experience. There was no pressure, no "are you ready to buy today," etc. He was just low key, and pleasant. I concluded our encounter by telling him I would probably be interested when the 2014 models came out. After that, I did not hear from John, no pestering, or anything like that. He was simply very professional, probably the most professional salesperson I have dealt with, and I have dealt with many. At the 2013 Quail, I took another Panamera test drive, and sent an email to John that I was ready to purchase one. I made an appointment, and he made himself available at my convenience. We got reacquainted, and I was specific in what I wanted on the Panamera, and he place the order with a fair price for me. With honesty, he said it would take three and a half months for the car to arrive, which it did. When I picked up the car, he spent more time with me than I expected getting acquainted with the car, again demonstrating his knowledge of the car and interest in making sure I was comfortable and happy with it. All in all a very pleasant sales experience with a very professional and thoughtful person. Would I deal with John on another purchase, yes, and I intend to do so in the future. More
