My 93 RSA from Monterey Porsche I came down to Rennsport 2018 with a few friends and fortunately had opportunity to stop by every Porsche dealer from San Francisco down to Monterey. I placed bids on some interesting vehicles on our drive down, and am grateful that they were difficult to deal with and didn’t get to a deal with any of them. Our last stop before getting to hotel was Monterey Porsche, and they had some great wheels on the floor. The one that got my attention was a Grand Prix white 93 RS America....which I saw on internet. John Bassett took care of me through the transaction and was excellent to deal with. No pressure, no slimey sales tactics, and fair negoatians. We were able to get to a deal and John put me in touch with prior owner which aided in my decision to purschase the car. The whole sales experience was painless and professional. I had car shipped from Monterey to Toronto....and The team there did an eclxcellent job preparing the car and when it arrived it was waxed and dressed to kill. It looked better than new! John also threw in some nice accessories and goodies into a loot bag that arrived with vehicle. The entire experience was great from start to finish, and highly recommend Monterey Porsche. More

Unlike most modern (mega) dealerships, Porsche of Monter Ray, Aaron and the rest of the Porsche of Monterey staff are outstanding people to deal with. Unlike most modern (mega) dealerships, Porsche of Monterey feels like a small family. You can walk inside and most everyone will know your name. Their inventory is outstanding and if they don’t have it, they’ll try to get it for you. They’re also one of a few Classic Porsche dealers in North America which means Porsche has certified them to service and sell classic parts and cars. Oh yeah and they’re also a Premier dealer which awarded to only a handful of top dealerships. The transformation Aaron has led them through over the past few years is incredible. While I just purchased another new car from them (and did European delivery), I’m already I looking forward to the next. A big thank you to everyone at Porsche of Monterey! More

White glove delivery for a remote CPO purchase! I came across a CPO Cayenne listing at Porsche of Monterey after checking out a few CPO Cayennes in person, locally, at Porsche of Livermore. The price was right, and the color/wheel combo was solid. I e-mailed the dealership around 10PM, not quite knowing how it'd work out (I have 3 toddlers, and I wasn't going to be able to get down to Monterey to test drive/pickup). I received both a text and email from Kelly bright and early the next morning, and everything from that point on was *AMAZING*. Right off the bat, Kelly sent me a picture of the build sheet, a bunch of pictures, and walk-around videos she took specifically for me. She took care to focus on questions I asked about the Cayenne and its condition. I gave the thumbs up, and no time was wasted from there! Docs were FedEx'd to me overnight with a pre-paid return envelope (with a bunch of little "sign here!" stickers already in place). I signed, dropped the return envelope back off at FedEx, and as soon as Kelly saw it was dropped off at FedEx, she had transport scheduled for the next day. Now, to be honest, I was super nervous about all of this. I hadn't seen the car in person, so I could only rely on what she was telling me, and the fact there were so many good reviews on the Monterey dealership itself. We had a lot of back and forth texts as I was roller-coastering through my fears. She was always very responsive, and she assured me it really was as nice as it looked from the pictures and videos. The next day, a huge *covered* trailer pulled in front of my house, and out rolled the Cayenne. it was honestly *nicer* than what I expected from the pictures and videos, and I had a huge smile on my face from it. It was by far the best car buying experience I've ever had (this is number 12 for me), and even though I wasn't buying a brand new Porsche, the entire experience felt like I was, all the way down to the covered trailer used for transport. It has been a few days since it was delivered, and Kelly has *still* been responsive to questions I've had, as well as to random comments of excitement that I've had to share with her. :) She has totally gone above and beyond what I had expected, and definitely has made me feel like a part of the family. I really hope to stay in touch for when the time comes to buy the next one -- this has been really fun! Thank you again Kelly! More

Stay Away!!! Stay away, far away, from these losers. I was shocked how bad this dealer is given Porsche's standards and reputation. I recently bought a 2015 used Cayenne from Porsche Monterey. If I could give them "half a star" I would but that's not an option. I previously owner a Cayenne for 4 years starting in 2008. It was a great car and I had good experience with two different dealers servicing the car. The service here at Porsche Monterey is the worst I've ever seen in 48 years of car ownership. The people who have listed them at 4 Star+ must have relatives working here. They use "shills" on the floor to get you to make a quick decision, by saying "these people want that car so you must decide now". I saw through it but it was still annoying. They couldn't get my paperwork right. Because of their screw up on the DMV paperwork I didn't get my plates for over 4 months. My pink slip came some time after that. My temp Registration expired and when I called to ask for help they made me feel like i was trying to steal their lunch. "Be patient they said - it takes 6 weeks" before I could say "but it's been 4 months!!" It has been such a hassle my wife and I hate the car now. They called me for a "recall " repair so I scheduled a visit. After 2 hours waiting they said they couldn't get the part to work and I would have to come back when they got the new part. They never called me again and I had to go to another dealer to get it fixed over three months later. There were other things too numerous to mention - mix up on the "Due Bill", wrong floor mats, wrong VIN # etc.. Multiple screw ups but I got nothing but attitude when I asked for help. Because of my experience I will never own a Porsche again. So, the bottom line is this: once you negotiate a price and sign the papers, they think they can deliver a sub-par experience, and a car in sub-par condition. Unfortunately If you try to get what was agreed to, they make you feel like you're trying to rob them. And the used car laws protect sleaze bags like these guys. Life is too short for this. Stay away, far away. More

He reserved the car for me in advance so I could commit to flying, and then took his time with me showing me the car. Renee was also great in talking me through the contracts. I appreciate the spirit they all have — there were no surprises and they seem authentically interested in helping people get the car they want. More
