Terrible experience at the service department today I came to get one part replaced. The service advisor told me that it would cost $250 and it would take hour and a half to two hour labor. The previous came to get one part replaced. The service advisor told me that it would cost $250 and it would take hour and a half to two hour labor. The previous Honda dealership I went to told me that it would only take half an hour to one hour and it would cost anywhere from 100 to $165 ; but they didn’t have the part in stock, and it would take them 3 to 5 days to get the part where as Pohanka has part in stock and wanted $250. Time is money to me and I was willing to pay $250 to get the part replaced. After the service my car it only took them 20 minutes to get the part replaced and they still charged me the full hour and a half to two hour labor. The service tech came out and told me that the par didn’t even need to be replaced as the hoses were pinched buy a pair of vise grips. I think as a level eight technician if you are replacing the part where those vice grips are causing the issue, before doing the job that the customer requested you should approach the customer and let them know that hate these two hoses are paint which is causing the issue and you don’t need this part replaced and spent almost 3 $400. Now I understand the sales advisers are commission reps and they have to make their money but I spoke to the manager explain him the whole situation and the service manager was also in denial and said you can’t take the car until you pay explain him as a technician don’t you think he should’ve just approached me and told me this is what’s causing the issue you don’t need to replace the part I don’t mind paying that $250 but if I don’t need a park, replays, that’s in working condition because the hoses pinched then it’s waste of the technicians time and is waste of my time and my money. When I tried to talk to service advisor, he wouldn’t even talk and kept saying are you paying cash or card. I think as a service advisor and a professional mechanics, it’s their job to advise me and tell me hey mr/mrs customer, you came in to get this part replaced , we don’t think you need this part replaced because the there was a pair of pliers causing the issues. As a technician, he should’ve approached me before doing the job not after. I get it they work on commission but it’s not about making money all the time. Doing the right thing by the customer should also be considered. At the end of day you guys are the professionals and should’ve approached me before doing this job. The service manager was extremely rude and told me I had no option, but to pay in order to take the car. The service manager got all in my face, and in my way, like he was about to do some thing and I had to tell me to get out of my way. This type of behavior is unacceptable and should not be tolerated in Cusotmer service. As my background is in also customer service I think this is not and I am super disappointed at Pohanka honda. I was coming back next week to see Lamin and trade in my current accord for a 2023 accord. I think today’s experience definitely changed my mind. More
Always double check with another dealership before accepting service bill. They’ll add on services that you don’t need. Recently they told me I needed a transmission flush when I didn’t. Service tech accepting service bill. They’ll add on services that you don’t need. Recently they told me I needed a transmission flush when I didn’t. Service tech told me the transmission fluid is dirty when he didn’t even look at the fluid. (He admitted after I told him I had the fluid flush and changed 3 weeks ago) He originally told me he looked at the fluid and it was dirty. That was a lie. Martin Romero - very disrespectful and doesn’t have customer service. Waived me off. The manager, Ralph Dykes was too busy to help. He brushed off my complaint. Most of you just accept the service bill as is. You should not. Always double check. To add, they told a lady who drives a 2021 HRV not to use regular gas. Yikes. More
I had a very interesting experience recently at Pohanka Honda with the service manager Martin. I had work done that was covered by my extended warranty. I was told by the service rep Nelson that it was not Honda with the service manager Martin. I had work done that was covered by my extended warranty. I was told by the service rep Nelson that it was not covered. I called Honda Care to ensure it was covered and it was. Before I picked up my car I notified the service rep it was covered by Honda Care extended warranty. I still was asked to pay around 379.00 and some change when picking up my car. Which was supposed to be the difference that the warranty did not cover. I had no choice but to pay it. After I left the dealership I called Honda Care again and was told that diagnostic fee, parts and labor was all inclusive and payment had been rendered to the dealership. The dealership charged me almost the exact amount they were contracted for cost for these services. Essentially being paid twice. I wrote the service manager for a refund but got no immediate response. The service evaluation came before I received a refund. I wrote the truth about the rating of services I received. I did not know that the service manager had issued a refund because he did not respond until the next day via email. The next day I received a call from an irate service manager (Martin) asking why I wrote a bad evaluation. I told him it was well deserved and wrote before I had received a refund. He told me to change it. I told him I do not know how. He threatened me by telling me no one will ever service my car at this location ever again, he will make sure of it. I was very taken aback and upset about this incident. What are evaluations for, if not honest experiences. I made sure the dealership was made aware of his inappropriate actions. To call a customer and demand they change an unfavored evaluation and to be aggressive and threatening is unacceptable. This manager has knowledge of my home address, car make, model and tag number. How can I take my car back to this dealership and not worry about being overcharged for services or car being misdiagnosed or purposely sabotaged. With the exception of this incident, I have had many pleasant experiences. Usually with Delonte the customer rep. I have been a customer for many years and I am greatly disturbed and disappointed. My car was sent to this location for tire repair by Geico. I was contacted by the "Service Manager" Mr Brian Smith once. I called several times over a 4 day period, left voicemails and even left messag Geico. I was contacted by the "Service Manager" Mr Brian Smith once. I called several times over a 4 day period, left voicemails and even left messages with other associates yet the only time I was able to speak to him was when I called back and asked for his boss. Then he mysteriously got on the phone. I even have my phone log showing each time that I called him. Once I finally spoke to him today he of course lied that he never got ANY of my calls or messages. (Go figure) He's nothing but a liar. The customer service experience was the ABSOLUTE worst! He never returned ANY of my calls. I had to send my own pictures to Geico because he failed to do so. How are YOU the one repairing my car yet I have to send my own pictures to the Insurance agent. But you best believe that Mr. Smith was alert and ready when Geico showed up to cut the check for my car. Need I to mention when he spoke to the Geico agent he mention that I had "Shield Damage" he even wrote it on the estimate then all of sudden he crossed it out (I have a copy as proof)! Which makes me think he was clearly not being honest. I definitely feel that I have been scammed or that they charged Geico for parts on my car that weren't even needed! I don't trust Mr. Smith or Pohanka Honda or anything that he said. I will be taking my car to another Honda to look at my car & if I find out about any extra damage that wasn't taken care of I will be taking further action! This is my 5th Honda and I take pride in my car. I will NEVER EVER go to this location not even for an oil change. I asked for his manager's name he told me he as off today. I asked for the corporate office phone # and he told me that he didn't have it nor does he know where the corporate office is located. How the xxxx is that possible? This was definitely xxxx POOR service! I am NOT happy & I will NEVER go to this Honda nor recommend that anyone else goes to this location with service like this!!! My next complaint is going to the corporate office that I located MYSELF and I will be filing a complaint with the BBB immediately!!! More
Please don't do what we did and ignore the reviews of this place!! My husband and I purchased a 2020 Honda CR-V from them last night and this was easily our worst car buying experience EVER. Prior t this place!! My husband and I purchased a 2020 Honda CR-V from them last night and this was easily our worst car buying experience EVER. Prior to arriving, we had a great experience with our saleswoman who had two models of the vehicle we were interested in pulled up to the front awaiting our arrival at our request. We quickly decided on which one we wanted and began the paperwork. This is where is started to go downhill. We repeatedly mentioned in text, email and person that we were not interested in financing as we already had it line up through our credit union. When we began, questions about what our rates, payments, etc would be, started. I again reminded our saleswoman we had financing line up and weren't interested in this and she stated these questions were just part of the paperwork and were required of her to ask. While chatting politely with us, she brought some paperwork for us to begin signing and told us both it was the standard papers to get the ball rolling. Our mistake was not paying more attention and instead trusting her. After waiting well over an hour, we were finally taken back to finance and after signing papers there and waiting for the finance representative to call to our credit union and verify the check, I decided to go through my email. Imagine my surprise to see an alert from Credit Karma telling me I had a new hard inquiry on my report. I opened my account and lo and behold, Pohanka Honda had run credit checks on both myself and my husband despite us stating no credit was needed. The on duty manager had come into the room at this point to assist the finance person with something so I asked why a credit check was performed without our consent and after a moment of appearing flustered, he began to rifle through our papers and pulls out the forms our sales person told us were just "standard papers". in tiny writing on the bottom in a very large paragraph, it states by signing, we are applying for credit and authorizing them to run credit checks. This didn't sit well with either of us. The manager began to stumble through an explanation stating it was the general managers policy to run credit checks on everyone who buys a car just incase their bank check doesn't clear. When further questioned, he then stated it was because of 9-11 and the federal law requires them to do it to prove we are who we say we are and that we aren't xxxxxxxxxx. What he was referring to is the Patriot Act. Anyone with a slight knowledge of the Patriot Act knows this doesn't require or allow car dealerships to run a credit check on customers. We argued rather heatedly with him over the topic and at one point he told the finance lady since we were "bending him over a barrel" to just cancel our sale. At this point, all papers had been signed, the check had been authorized and filled out with all of their information. I was more than thrilled to do this and to this very minute wish we would have, but my husband just wanted the whole thing to be over. We walked out of there with not only a godawful experience, but also with a car that in the grand scheme of things, wish we wouldn't have bought from them and we are now looking into our options with hiring an attorney for their unlawful practice of running credit checks on unsuspecting customers. Please, please, please, read all the reviews of this place and think twice before dealing with them. More

Best buying experience I have had. Purchased a used late model RAM. everything was negotiated up front (including trade) and there were zero surprises. Everything as promised. Best part came when I model RAM. everything was negotiated up front (including trade) and there were zero surprises. Everything as promised. Best part came when I realized that the truck had no running boards. I had missed that in the pictures. When I mentioned that my wife has a bad back and that the running boards would be an issue, they called a local dodge dealer and agreed to pay for installation. Even called the dodge dealer to let them know I was coming. JT, Perlita, Jerod, and Judaea were all great. Could not be happier. More

Steve and Ralph were extremely combative and disrespectful, when I attempted to work with them. Don was upset at the negative review he received and decided to call me at 6:30am in the morning upset. They ripped me off over charging me for a diagnosis that was never performed and refused to provide sufficient documentation. Save your time and money and take your vehicle somewhere else. More
