My car buying experience had some slight difficulty, but Jay and Pohanka worked with me to make it as easy as possible. Jay was very accommodating and clearly wanted to make the experience as easy as possible for me. I never felt like I was getting the stereotypical "car dealership" treatment from Jay. Years ago, a previous horrendous experience with another dealership(LUSTINE)"scarred me for life!" For the past 25 years, my husband has to drag me out the door when it comes to buying a car. Mel and Pohanka renewed my faith that, yes, there are kind people on car lots! They're not all devious and deceitful! We determined that the exact model we wanted was not in stock, and we had to wait a couple of weeks, but that was no problem. Ms Levine kept us regularly updated on the expected arrival date of our new Fit. When it came in, and we showed up at Pohanka, she proved to be personable, knowledgeable, and professional. She helped us feel relaxed and confident. She ensured we were aware of all the features of our car, answered all our questions, then accompanied us for a test drive. Of the three Honda dealerships that we went to, Kent Smith of Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg was by far the best salesman that we worked with. Kent showed us the vehicle from front to rear, engine compartment, trunk, and the interior in detail and explained all the functions and new features on the vehicle. No other car salesman did this. Kent was also honest from the very beginning. The price he gave us, which was the lowest offer that we received, was the price that we paid. Kent actually tried to talk my wife out of an option, the remote start, that she wanted. Who ever heard of a car salesman that did that? He knows what he is doing and puts in extra effort to make sure everything goes smoothly as did my transaction. I was also particularily impressed how they could issue permanent plates and registrations right there and then, rather than deal with the hassle of temporary tags. I would definitely recommend this dealership to others when shopping for a new vehicle. Even though it is a little out of the way for people in the DC suburbs it is well worth the trip. More
