I stopped by Peters Kia of Nashua a couple of weeks ago during my search for a decent used vehicle. My experience at first was awesome--even though it was close to closing time, the sales team asked us wh during my search for a decent used vehicle. My experience at first was awesome--even though it was close to closing time, the sales team asked us what we were looking for and when I mentioned a car "like a RAV4" they brought a RAV4 around for me to look at that was in my price range. We test drove it, kind of liked it, dickered a little with the price but the salesman wouldn't budge, so we moved on. A day later he called me back to see if he could get manager approval to drop the price more, but the answer was no. A few days later he called again saying the car was still there and asked if we could do business. This is where I made my first mistake--I assumed he had a better offer for me. It wasn't until I drove over that I found out he wanted me to change my mind on the price. And, stupid me, I did. We checked on financing, the dealership told me that because of my pretty awful credit (which is my fault as well) that I'd need to put an extra $800 down, and they named the final price, which was just under $14,400. I asked a couple of times if this included ALL fees, and the assistant manager fellow who had suddenly appeared to take over from Mark, assured me it was. They cheerfully brought the vehicle to our mechanic for an inspection and the only flaw was that the previous owner had let the brakes go for too long and the rear rotors needed work, so Peters fixed it with no complaint or extra charge. Finally, delivery day arrived and I drove home, picked up my better half and we went back to the dealership to sign the papers and take the car home. This is where the experience turned completely south for us. First, even though they knew what time we were coming, Rafael (I have no idea how he became involved) kept us waiting for twenty minutes or more. The second issue was when we discussed the downpayment. I had told Mark and the other assistant manager fellow we talked to the Thursday before that I don't use checks but we could pay with a debit card, but that since I had to sell some investments I wouldn't have the cash until the following Thursday. Mark and an assistant manager had told me this was absolutely fine. Rafael insisted that he needed a check for the bank who was financing the car. I explained that Mark and the assistant manager assured me a debit card was fine. When he showed me the bank info, I realized that this wasn't the same bank I was told was financing the loan for me. He insisted it was all along, but I know I was told it was Capital One and now it was Santander. Finally, he made a copy of the card and moved on. We signed what felt like a mountain of papers, and finally got down to the final price. It was $800 more than what we'd shaken hands on the previous Thursday. When I stated this, Rafael got up to talk to Mark. They both came back and kept trying to explain that the difference was an extra finance charge from the bank for my credit and that the other assistant manager (whose name I never got) must have explained it to me. Let me be clear on why I was so upset and why I walked out on the deal: if the other assistant manager had explained to me about the fee when I was there on Thursday, I'd have been fine with it. I know that subprime lenders often charge a fee, I work in finance, I've researched the car buying process and, believe me, I know my credit is not great. I was angry because when I left we'd shaken hands over a lower price. The only mention about money was that the bank required a larger downpayment. No one said anything about that amount being tacked onto the sale price. Now these two men were standing over me emphatically explaining why the fee was being charged and glossing over the fact that I wasn't mad about why the fee was there, I was upset because it wasn't there the Thursday before and we'd agreed on a lower price. I walked out with no intention of going back or recommending them to anyone else. As a matter of fact, I'm going to make sure I tell as many people as I can about what happened in hopes that they, too, will avoid Peters in the future. Were they all bad? No. However, the total lack of honestly and transparency has completely soured me on buying a car from them. Instead, I'll save up a bigger downpayment, work on improving my credit and go buy something nicer from their competition. More
From the moment I contacted Peters of Nashua I was treated with courtesy and respect. The salesman {Scott Walters} listened to everything I said and worked very hard to get me everything that I wante treated with courtesy and respect. While I was filling out paperwork and forms, Scott had my new car washed, and filled with gas. I have never had such a positive experience with a dealership before. And within a few hours I drove home in the my new car. More

My experience was very low-pressure and I was encouraged to test drive as many vehicles as many times as I wanted which is such a huge part of a big decision like purchasing a new vehicle. My salesman was v to test drive as many vehicles as many times as I wanted which is such a huge part of a big decision like purchasing a new vehicle. My salesman was very knowledgeable and accommodating. I wasn't planning on purchasing a vehicle that day, but Peters met every one of my requirements and did it at a competitive price, it was impossible to walk away. I'd definitely return and would certainly want to work with Don again. But not too soon...I love my new Kia Sorento! More

This was the first time I have purchased a vehicle on my own and Kim made the experiance as comfortable and stress free as possible. I was not quite sure what I could afford or get approved for and Kim was own and Kim made the experiance as comfortable and stress free as possible. I was not quite sure what I could afford or get approved for and Kim was upbeat and positive that we could find the size and quality I was looking for in my budget. Kim recommended the 2013 kia sorento. With a baby on the way and a very large puppy, I could not be happier with my choice. I have already spoken highly of Kim to friends and family and hope to do buisness with her and peters in the future! Thank you so much! More
