I am deeply disappointed by the way my son-in-law was taken advantage of during his recent vehicle purchase at Perkins dealership in Motor City-Colorado Springs. As a first-time buyer, he trusted your team to provide a fair deal, only to find out—after obtaining three independent appraisals within 72 hours of purchase—that he was charged $15,000 above market value for a used car. This level of price gouging is not just unethical; it is predatory. When he attempted to address this issue and seek a fair resolution with General Manager Randy Martin, he was met with complete disregard and an unprofessional “tough luck" attitude. The emotional distress this has caused him is significant, and it is unacceptable that your dealership would exploit an inexperienced buyer in this way. Given the circumstances, we have no choice but to escalate this matter. We are filing formal complaints with the State Attorney General’s Office, the Department of Revenue’s Auto Industry Division, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission. Additionally, we will be reaching out to local media outlets to ensure other young and unsuspecting consumers are aware of these practices. We are giving your dealership an opportunity to correct this situation before further action is taken. I strongly urge you to respond immediately with a plan to remedy this predatory sale. More

i have been a perkins customer since 2012. i bought and loyally serviced my first two wranglers there for over a decade. i recently bought a used jeep at. a nearby dealership. i bought it fri i bought and loyally serviced my first two wranglers there for over a decade. i recently bought a used jeep at. a nearby dealership. i bought it friday, service lights came on saturday. needless to say i as highly stressed and frustrated. i brought jeep in without an appointment. mark got me in and was professional patient with me while i was short tempered and frustrated that they didn’t have a shuttle and would need to keep it several days. that same afternoon he called and it was covered under warranty but couldn’t get it done till Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon he called to update me they didn’t repair and were taking it for a test drive to make sure light didn’t come back on. once again, i was still in a fight or fight state for some reason and was snippy and questioning and mark was again professional and patient. i will continue to be a loyal perkins customer, i went back the next week to apologize to Mark and to thank them for getting me back out on the trails. More
