I scheduled a 10:30 AM appointment for a routine oil change and planned my day around that appointment. When I arrived, I was told they were busy and that it could take a few hours. What was most frustrating was learning that my appointment apparently provided no priority at all. The oil-change bay has a sign stating “No Appointment Necessary,” and my vehicle simply moved through the same line as everyone else, including walk-ins. When I questioned why I had scheduled an appointment, I was actually advised that next time I should arrive a few minutes before they open so I can be first in line. If that’s the best way to receive timely service, then I genuinely don’t understand the purpose of allowing customers to schedule specific appointment times online. I completely understand that service departments get busy and that a 10:30 appointment doesn’t mean the vehicle will be completed at 10:30. But there is a big difference between running behind and an appointment seemingly having no meaning whatsoever. If oil changes are simply first come, first served, that’s fine—just be transparent about it. Don’t offer customers limited appointment times that give the reasonable impression that their time has been reserved when they’ll ultimately be placed into the same line as walk-ins. Nearly three hours for a routine oil change after scheduling an appointment was extremely disappointing and a poor use of my time. More

First time for a routine mileage service appt for my 2019 Jeep Cherokee with this dealer. I was very pleased that they sent me a video of the multipoint inspection.
