Do your homework and beware of prices. I submitted a request online for a specific vehicle that appeared to be a good deal ($67K) and was told that it was available. When I showed up 24 hours later, (after multiple calls and emails from the dealer confirming my visit and in which no-one mention the car was no longer available); the car was no longer available and the ones available for purchase where the ones at regular price ($82K) … shocking… Two hours later I received an obvious automated system-generated communication "from the sales rep", sharing a vehicle with the same initial low price, but different color… clearly a systematic approach to luring people with false lower prices into the dealer; basic bait and switch. Very shady way of bringing people in, I wonder what else they might do... More
I've never written a review before, but Patrick Volvo needs to be called out. For all the wrong reasons. I was in the market for a new car and found the make/model I was looking for at Patrick through needs to be called out. For all the wrong reasons. I was in the market for a new car and found the make/model I was looking for at Patrick through AutoTrader. After a couple of emails and a phone call, I was convinced Patrick was a credible dealer, so I agreed to buy the car and flew to Chicago to complete the purchase, pick up the car and drive home (about 6 hours). That's when the disappointment started. The car is a plug-in hybrid, but it wasn’t charged for my arrival. That should have been a red flag. The car is a year old, with 8,000 miles, so I was provided a CarFax report but, frankly (my bad), I only scanned it, because the salesman told me he was the person who sold the car the year before and it was in great shape. I came to find out later that the engine had been replaced. I’m not a mechanic but that seems like something that should have been revealed before I flew down. Anyway, I bought the car and began driving home. About an hour from home, the car broke down. I had to pull off the highway, call the Volvo 24-hour support line (they were great) and arrange to have the car towed to the Volvo dealership in my town. That dealership fixed the issue, which apparently stemmed from the work done by Patrick in replacing the engine. They also noticed that the car wouldn’t charge properly and fixed that problem as well. I kept Patrick informed of my issues and they conveyed empathy and offered to cover my out-of-pocket costs, which were around $500 (the work done by my local Volvo dealer was covered under my maintenance agreement so my expenses primarily related to car rental when my Volvo was in the shop). However, after I sent Patrick my receipts for those costs a month ago, it's been radio silence. And that's from both the salesman and the manager of used car sales. My advice to anyone thinking about buying from Patrick Volvo is DON'T. More
I was in need of a different vehicle pretty quickly and reached out about one we found online. I received a response surprisingly quickly and had an appointment that evening. Lida met us at the door and reached out about one we found online. I received a response surprisingly quickly and had an appointment that evening. Lida met us at the door and was so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating to everything we needed. She showed us two vehicles I was considering and when the one I wanted needed a minor adjustment she did an excellent job communicating what they were doing to get everything in order. From the very beginning to the final step this was by far the easiest, best experience I’ve had purchasing a vehicle. Great job everyone!! I would definitely recommend Lida and Patrick Volvo! More

The dealership itself was okay. The service department was good. But I would highly suggest that no one buy their car through Tola. He is NOT helpful, never has answers on anything, and doesn’t follow up when he says he will. I had to deal with him because my new car got hit in their parking lot, and it was an awful experience. He just wanted to make the sale and move on. Anytime I would call and ask for a sales manager who could hopefully give me answers, Tola was the one I would hear back from, and it was as if he was annoyed about it. If he had been even a little bit helpful from the jump, I wouldn’t have to ask for assistance from someone else. They also messed up my paperwork, and dealing with him on that was also a nightmare. This dealership will only let you speak to your salesperson, regardless of the incompetence. More

When we arrived at the dealership (a five-hour drive), we were greeted by him at the door and the sales process was very easy and everyone at the dealership was very helpful. Because it was a busy Saturday, the paperwork process took some time, butevery detail was just as one would want it. The car was prepped and detailed, with a full tank of gas and ready to go. We were very satisfied with all aspects of the purchase. More

My husband and I have bought a lot of cars in our forty-three years together and this is by far the WORST experience we have ever had. We were told we could order a car, which we did in February. Four days later we were offered a car like our desired car but with a black interior. We said no, it was not what we wanted. Three days later we were offered another car, just like the one we wanted, for a bit more money. After some discussion we agreed to purchase this car. The car was "inbound" and would arrive in "a couple weeks". Three plus months later the car arrived but it was the car with the wrong interior! No one knew where the car was that we had agreed on. We were told "take it or leave it. We have other people interested in the car". They did nothing for us. Our salesperson was very friendly but there seemed to be a definite lack of communication between himself and the sales manager. We accused them of Bait and Switch and asked who okayed a car that we said no thank you to. Again, no explanation. We took the car because we had sold our primary vehicle and needed it. We were extremely disappointed as we had ordered, and expected, our dream car. I gave one star because the day we picked the car up went very smoothly. More

He asked what I was looking for, I told him the car that "John" said was there. This salesman said no, we don't have that car but I do have a different one you can see. This one is literally the absolute opposite of what I drove out there for. AND it could not be test drove because it had ZERO charge and 5 miles of fuel in it. AND was to go with yet a different salesperson that had no clue on how to start the car to check the fuel or charge level. This was apparently the old dealer bait and switch game. Tell whatever you want the hear to get you to the dealership then bull there way around in hopes you are an idiot and will fall for their crap. More
