We had been looking for a vehicle and noticed an Internet ad for the car we were looking for. When we called we spoke with Jerry who patiently answered each of our questions honestly. What I found particularly refreshing was that if he didn't know the answer to a question, he took the time to check and verify before responding. Since we were looking for a pre-owned vehicle, their verbal description of the car on the phone was an important point in convincing us to make the rather long trip to the dealership. We weren't disappointed when we arrived there and saw the car. Their description was right on the money and the vehicle was in the exact condition as advertised. We live in Queens, NY and it was a rather long drive to the dealership. Their honest description as to the car's condition, both mechanically and cosmetically, made us feel extremely at ease in proceeding further. We, like most people these days, are on a tight budget. They were extremely aggressive in their pricing to make the purchase of the car work for us. We purchased the vehicle and are extremely happy not only with the price we paid but also with the performance of the car. I would, and do, recommend this dealership highly. Their overall impression was one of a company who worked hard to establish an on-going business relationship with the customer and not just make a quick buck at the customer's expense. In my 30 years of vehicle ownership, I have become quick to realize that Park Avenue BMW is head-and-shoulders above all dealerships that I have dealt with. With the acquisition of a 2010 X-5 diesel this past weekend, I now have 2 BMW's in the Park Avenue "stable," and this is my 3rd transaction with them. I first came to the Park Avenue Internet Sales Department when my initial dealer was unable/unwilling to extend the lease of my 2005 X-5. They wanted to sell me a new car instead. The response from Park Avenue's Craig Cayetano was "no problem, I can get you a great deal." And to his word he did! While the entire BMW brand relationship is outstanding (Dealers and BMW North America corporate), Park Avenue BMW has set themselves apart with their professionalism and commitment to their clients. I refer to them as the "white collar" dealership of dealers. They are smart, articulate, respectful, patient, and VERY friendly. To my pleasant surprise, over the past 4 years, Gregg Berkowitz (Internet Sales Director) and Craig Cayetano - Internet Sales Advisor, have become "friends" in a certain way. A professional level of trust has been established along the way, and I will always give them the opportunity to make a deal happen. In addition to their product knowledge, and thorough understanding of the various financing platforms, their primary goal was to make me happy as a client...and to keep my business. They were able to get me the vehicles that I wanted at the appropriate price points. Sometimes this required creativity that to a non "insider" whould not be so apparent. As a finance professional, I understood and appreciated their approach, and ended up with a transaction that could not have been met by Mercedes, Audi or Lexus for an "inferior" competitive vehicle. Finally, the brand new Park Avenue Service department, now conveniently located off of Route 80 in South Hackensack, NJ, maintains these same high & exceptional standards. Last year, for instance, while traveling to Buffalo, NY for Thanksgiving in a heavy snow storm in a loaded car with a young child and elderly parents, my vehicle experienced a sudden power loss on a long 6-7 mile incline along Rte. 17 North. A quick call to the Park Avenue Service Department resulted in the location of dealership in Binghampton, NY that could assist us. Not only did Service Advisor Larry Weiner give me directions, but also personally called the Binghamton dealer in advance with a probable diagnosis, and to make certain that they were ready for us Without a wait, the vehicle was taken into the shop upon our arrival, we were directed to a local eatery, and the repair was completed shortly after lunch was finished. I'd been asking the car service to check the oil level/weird sound that coming from the car but everytime i go there for service, all the feedback i'd been getting was, "there's nothing wrong with the car and they'd checked oil and so forth and said everything looks okay. But i wasn't satisfied i could still the weird sound in my car like the sound of an old car. Until one day (Jan 12, 2010) i said to myself, let me just go for car service again and see what they will say this time. There I met Jeff Farhart and told him what was going on. He said he will take care of it.Thank goodness after many months finally somebody did figure out what was the problem with my car. He did an excellent job.
