I came Ourisman by way of the Betty Lou Ourisman Breast Cancer Care Center at Georgetown University. I suppose that says enough. It is nice when a car dealership takes and important role in the community. Cancer Care Center at Georgetown University. I suppose that says enough. It is nice when a car dealership takes and important role in the community. The Salesman was very knowledgeable, did not try to sell me something that I did not need, gave me a better price than I had been offered before and delivered a fantastic vehicle which I love. I plan to buy my next vehicle from Ourisman; great vehicle, great people, great service, perfect. How can you beat that? More
From the first phone call to the final services provided, I felt taken care of by Ourisman Chevy. My car is now safer than it was before I took it in. Some warranty work along with flushing the fuel injectors prove to give my truck back it's pep and improved my MPG. Much care was taken since I drove it for over 7000 miles this past summer cross Country. I prefer preventitive work rather breaking down on the beltway. OBTW they give a military discount too! More
Terrible customer service. Set up appointment to test drive vehicle. Coming from far away. When arrived the man who set up appointment was not there. Then they continued to make stories up. Did nothin drive vehicle. Coming from far away. When arrived the man who set up appointment was not there. Then they continued to make stories up. Did nothing to try to help situation other than to try and stall and keep us there for some reason even though they didnt have the vehicle. The Manager which they all seem to take that title when they are on the phone looked like he had a rough night or an early start that day. Just a tip for him invest in a pair of sunglasses. I dont think anyone would want to buy from someone that looked like that. Thats if they got their act together enough to put a deal together. Later spoke to the General Manager that was a complete waste of time. Then past off to another manager. The many different managers kept saying that they were going to make it right by finding the vehicle and pricing it the same as they did and they were going to send over the information ASAP. Never received anything not even an appology. Which can go a long way when you mean it. Worst vehicle experience ever. Waste of time and money Luckily for me it turned me away from GM altogether. Way to go Ourisman. More
I purchased a 2011 Traverse from this dealership on November 5, 2010. I received a competitive price and they were fair and honest with me. I even purchased an after market service which I later did no November 5, 2010. I received a competitive price and they were fair and honest with me. I even purchased an after market service which I later did not want and they refunded my money so I trust their integrity. I've since taken my vehicle to the service department and find that they do good work. Although you don't need to take your car in for an oil change every 3000 miles as they may suggest, I can tell that they do good work and they aren't trying to scam me out of my money. Their other services are VERY reasonably priced for the DC area and if you were to do what they say, your car would probably last for 1,000,000 miles; you can do the work cheaper yourself but again, I trust the service department. I would highly recommend getting your vehicle serviced there. I am happy with my first Chevrolet experience and would go back to Ourisman CBGMC any day for another vehicle. More

Upon entering the dealership, I had a very good experience at this dealership. I was interested in a new, but wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. Upon entering the dealership, I was timely greeted by Salesman Tyler Harper. Tyler was very approachable and knowledgeable. I told him the issues I was having with my car at the time. He was able to efficiently figure out what vehicle was a good fit for me at a good price. After being helped by Tyler with the selection of a Car, Bruce Polanski helped me figure out the financing as well as the trade-in of my previous car. I feel i received a fair trade in value and a great price on the vehicle I purchased. I would highly recommend this dealership and would suggest you ask for Tyler or Bruce. More
Oursman took over our Saturn service when the original dealer went out of business. They honored our special service plan and have done all our service work. I'll tell you this store is a breath of fresh air. Visited numerous stores recommended by this site, and just went by Ourisman because I live next door. Ourisman Alexandria Chevrolet is a Chevrolet/Buick/GMC dealer in my community. Initially, I had gone to the dealership to look at the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, Buick Regal and Chevrolet Volt. The dealer in my community. Initially, I had gone to the dealership to look at the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, Buick Regal and Chevrolet Volt. The sales consultant who assisted me at that time was outstanding. Two weeks later, I returned to the dealership to look at the Camaro Convertible again as well as the Buick Regal. As my sales consultant was busy with another customer, and out of courtesy to me, he introduced me to his colleague, Tyler Harper, so that I wouldn't need to wait indefinitely for him to free up. Unfortunately, this was where my disappointing experience began. Mr. Harper was friendly and relaxed and was able to answer most of my questions to my satisfaction. I asked to have Ourisman's used car manager, Mr. Bruce Polansky, appraise my 3 year old, 12k mile, in PRISTINE condition, GM vehicle. Mr. Harper told me he was apparently tied up with another customer and, as I was in no particular hurry, I asked Mr. Harper to set up an appt. for me with Mr. Polansky to have my vehicle(s) appraised ASAP. During our conversation, Mr. Harper asked me what I expected to receive on my trade-ins and I told him “top dollar” (without stating an actual dollar amount - I had done my homework, however). Mr. Harper responded by stating that I should NOT expect to receive top dollar for my trade-ins and that very few vehicles ever receive top dollar for trade-in and that I “should expect to receive low to mid trade-in value”. I did not perceive his comment as projecting a positive, or even a possible let’s-see if we can do that for you” attitude. Who in their right mind wants to hear from a sales consultant who hasn't even looked at or inspected the vehicle that “you shouldn't expect top trade-in value for your car”? I certainly didn't! 48 hrs. after my visit to the dealership, I still had not heard back from either Mr. Harper or from the used car manager, Mr. Bruce Polansky, regarding an appointment. I found that to be somewhat annoying and, therewith, I seized the initiative, called up the dealership and made the appt. with Mr. Polansky myself. Mr. Polansky seemed friendly enough and I told him I was possibly interested in trading in TWO 2008 - extremely low mileage GM vehicles in PRISTINE condition “but only if the numbers are right”. I had the titles to both vehicles in-hand and I was very happy with my cars, therefore not in a position where I had to buy or was “hot to trot” on a new car - something else just caught my eye and I was investigating prices, so-to-speak. Mr. Polansky and I had a conversation about the vehicle I brought in for him to appraise and I said to him “give your “best one-time offer”. He ended up offering me the MINIMUM trade-in value per NADA and Kelly Blue Book listings on a 2008 GM vehicle with ALL factory options, additional GM vehicle-specific accessories and only 12k miles on a 2 yr. 11 month old car and $17,500 for a 2008 GM 2 seat roadster with only 4k miles, both vehicles accident-free, in PRISTINE / showroom condition, which had always been serviced at their dealership with title in-hand. I believe many people would regard that as a “low-ball” offer - $1500-$2500 per vehicle under what I expected as the mimimum trade-value offer - which is still below “top dollar” trade-in value per NADA and KBB guides. I told him that his offer certainly was not enough and I made no further effort to try and negotiate a better price with him as I wasn't desperate to trade / buy. As I told him initially; “give me your best one-time offer.” Ergo, the following day, I visited another dealer and, not only did they offer me a combined total of $5000. more than did Ourisman’s used car manager for my two vehicles. They even purchased my second vehicle “sight unseen” based on their confidence and conviction of knowing that my two vehicles had always been serviced at the same GM dealer (Ourisman Alexandria Chevrolet!), documented low mileage and clean CarFax reports (and they saw the condition of the one car I drove to their dealership). They now have my two 2008 GM vehicles listed for sale on their website as “GM Certified Pre-Owned” with an additional extended warranty (one of my two cars sold this week). Koons Chevrolet really wanted my business and worked hard to earn it and I didn’t get “raked over the coals” on the price of a new 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, either as I qualified for a pre-negotiated price via USAA's car-buying service. Koons did right by me and, despite their location being 15-20 miles from my residence, they will be my 1st dealership of choice when considering the purchase of a new GM vehicle in the future. Perhaps Ourisman Alexandria Chevrolet’s “upper management” might consider periodically re-evaluating the “mindset” and attitude of some of its employees and whether these individuals are representing the dealership in the manner it wants to do business and be regarded by the public. When another dealer offers 5k over what Ourisman’s used car manager offered, that’s one heck of a difference. If Ourisman were a "mom & pop" store, I could see the rationale for that type of an offer. The car-buying process, however, should be about buying and selling vehicles as well as treating the customer with dignity, not only with a smile but with the attitude of “doing right by the customer”. This is accomplished by extending a fair and reasonable offer, not insulting them by leaving them with the impression that they want to “get the better of them". Perception is reality. More
