I saw a very nice 2004 Lexus ES330 advertised on two different websites for 9,995. I called the dealership and was transferred to Christian, I told him I saw the car on the internet and that I wanted t different websites for 9,995. I called the dealership and was transferred to Christian, I told him I saw the car on the internet and that I wanted to put a hold the car, until I make it to check the car out. All that went fine. I get to the dealership with my girlfriend and we received a friendly greeting and after about 10 minutes or so Christian said he was busy with another customer and he would get someone to go with us for a test drive. I believe the young man's name was Kyle who was very nice. We got back to the dealership and as most customers would do, I wanted to see what their best price on the car was...Christian came over and we talked next the reception desk at a table there. I came with a Cashiers check for 90% of the car price listed on Autotrader and Carguru's website and was going to pay the balance in credit or cash. I was told on the phone there was a little wiggle room on the car. Seeing the car was listed at 9,995 I thought that if I got him down a couple hundred from the 9,995 that would be a fair deal. I really wasn't expecting them to go come down very far on the car. When we sat down he said are we financing or paying cash. My girlfriend said to Christian, let's talk and see where we end up. So, we told him the price of the car on the internet and he said that can't be, and luckily my girlfriend was able to pull out her Ipad to show him the price of their own car. When we did he said, well I have to honor the price that was on the internet, he left with my girlfriends Ipad to show the price to someone else. He came back and said that he could not honor the internet price. At the very least I was prepared to pay the price that the internet had advertised. Christian said he can't honor the price that was on the internet and that the dealership can't be responsible for what the internet people do! Really??? I took the afternoon off of work because it was an hour drive and my wasn't feeling her best either as she has been on chemo for quite some time, but we waisted a whole afternoon and we were shocked and disappointed with the dishonesty and unwillingness to work with us. As I stated, I realized they had put money in the car, but I was at least willing to pay cash for the price advertised. I was really looking forward to driving away with this car! So, thanks for ruining my afternoon and evening as I was excited about bringing the car home. To lose a cash deal over not honoring an internet deal over 495 dollars is very disappointing. Very Bad business in my opinion to know I was coming and not know the price you have advertised and then not honor that price! To be fair, after writing this review of BMW of Roxbury. Christian called me the next morning to apologize and see what he could do to gain my business back. The dealership still wouldn't honor the price on the internet and I realize Christian is not responsible for this part of the equation. I just strongly feel that I was lead to the dealership under false advertising that the dealership wasn't willing to fix. More
I first "met" Agata online when I inquired about a pre-owned 2007 Mazda Miata. She was very knowledgeable concerning this particular vehicle and if I asked about a detail with which she was no about a pre-owned 2007 Mazda Miata. She was very knowledgeable concerning this particular vehicle and if I asked about a detail with which she was not familiar, she researched it and got back to me as soon as she could. When we discussed the price of the car, she was more than willing to talk with her manager in order to bring the price to a level I could afford. Knowing that I was in Colorado and the dealership was in New Jersey, she suggested that they put a "hold" on the car so that other potential buyers would not purchase it before I could travel to New Jersey. That was wise because several potential buyers did offer to purchase the car prior to my arrival in New Jersey. When I arrived at the dealership, I took the car out for a test-drive and upon hearing a rattling sound, I asked that a mechanic check it out. But, the mechanics had already left the dealership (it was about 8:00 pm). Agata then contacted an assistant mechanic who gave me his opinion. I was not totally satisfied with his conclusion. She then contacted Thomas Sumner, the General Manager of the dealership, who looked at the car, took it for a test drive and although he came to the same conclusion as the assistant mechanic, suggested that instead of taking the vehicle that evening, I stay overnight so that his master mechanic could analyze the problem in the morning. Thomas offered to cover my lodging expenses, for which I was very grateful. As it turned out, a bearing needed to be replaced. Without hesitation the dealership ordered the part and it was installed. They also confirmed that all other essential parts of the car were in good working order, knowing I was about to drive the car back to Colorado . . . more than 1,850 miles. The BMW of Roxbury dealership covered my expenses for the entire time I was there, as they analyzed, ordered and repaired the vehicle. Their perseverance resulted in a long-distance drive that was trouble free. I had heard that BMW dealerships were reputable and were known for taking good care of the customers. Agata Grzebyk and Thomas Sumner certainly affirmed everything I had heard, plus so much more. They truly went beyond all my expectations!!! Respectfully submitted, Richard J. Bravine (2/4/12) More
The best customer service I have seen. I visited a ton of other dealerships and none were as patient, as helpful, and as informative as BMW of Roxbury. Worst experience ever!!! I have a 528xi lease that will be up in may 2012. Due to a new job, my commute tripled and I ran out of millage early (in Sept 2011). Because we were paying high rate for millage, be up in may 2012. Due to a new job, my commute tripled and I ran out of millage early (in Sept 2011). Because we were paying high rate for millage, we wanted to get a new lease ASAP. Here's our story. In mid Dec., my husband and I went in to lease a 528i xdrive. After spending days finding a car, and negotiating an acceptable deal, we signed the order and paid the deposit. Lie #1: We were told the car was at a nearby affiliate dealer and they can get in a couple of days. We called the following week to check and Ramon (our sales person) said that the transfer lady is on vacation and we have to wait for her to get back. When we didn't hear for another 2 weeks, we called again to check. We got the same answer!! The car in question was gray exterior, so we asked if the dealer can locate a white one instead since this one was taking so long. They were able to locate one in upstate NY and they said that they will get it for us. At the same time, they said this would be better since they discovered that the gray one was still on a ship coming from Germany - it was never at that other dealer to begin with!! We gave the OK for the white one and were told that it will take a week to get it transferred. Lie #2 We called the following week, and they said it was still in transit. Lie #3 A few days later, they called and said it was dropped at the wrong dealer again in upstate NY. Later, we find out that the car was at Newark port and they didn't catch it in time before it was delivered to the "correct" dealer in upstate - they didn't actually have an agreement to get that car. Finally, they said that they will get from the upstate NY dealer and it was supposed to be delivered last week. Lie# 4 On Wednesday, Ramon called my husband and said the car was delivered and we made an appointment to pick it up on Friday 1/20/2012 at noon. Lie # 5 Thursday night Ramon calls and asked to move the appointment to 2:00 as the finance manager is booked until then. We said OK. Lie # 6 Friday morning, he calls again saying asking push it to 3:30 or 4:30 because the finance manager started late, so he's backed up. When my husband said that we want to come early anyway to see the car in daylight and we can come back later to meet with finance manager, Ramon finally fessed up that the car it actually not there yet and it's still on the way!!! Finally, the car gets there at 3:30 and was prepped by 4:30. We were there within 30 minutes to sign the paperwork. As they started to look at the deal, the finance manager said that ALL the incentives that were in place had expired on Jan. 3rd and now the cost is up by 300 to 400 monthly!! We were furious to say the least, so they said wait until Monday (today) to see if they can get an exception. After numerous calls and messages today, they finally called and say "Sorry, there's nothing we can do!" I took the time to type all this up to save you from ever dealing with this headache. These people are unethical and don't deserve to be in business. I hope they go out of business soon so they don't torture any other consumers. More
From the moment I called and spoke with Andrzej through the entire sales cycle Andrzej was informative and professional. I chose Open Road BMW of Roxbury because the dealership was open later and Andrzej the entire sales cycle Andrzej was informative and professional. I chose Open Road BMW of Roxbury because the dealership was open later and Andrzej answered the phone. He made me aware of the incentives BMW was offering on the 2008 whereby no other dealer had mentioned this pivotal fact to me. This further motivated me to purchase a 2008 BMW X5. Initially I visited the dealership to look at a Space Gray 2008 X5. However Andrzej was astute enough to realize I would not be happy with the color. Thereby he researched Open Road's inventory and found the X5 I ultimately purchased. Andrzej as a representative of the dealership was very professional and has gained my confidence and trust. We will eventually purchase another vehicle from Andrzej and this dealership. More
I can't tell you how poor this dealership treated me. I used to deal with BMW in Denville and then they closed for this "new age, new fangled" dealership in Roxbury. What a joke. They were rude, harsh an used to deal with BMW in Denville and then they closed for this "new age, new fangled" dealership in Roxbury. What a joke. They were rude, harsh and now I had to drive further away since they told me I was receiving the best service ever. Well let me tell you. I had run flat tires and they had me purchase 2 new tires. When I picked up my car the "idiot" light was on the service personel told me. When I got home my tire was flat and it was supposed to be brand new. About a year ago there was a class action suit on run flat tires and I showed my proof that I paid 365.00 each for a total of 730.00 and I was told BMW claimed the money since they changed the tires. I called BMW and Andrew the general manager said oh well we changed them. I mentioned I had been leasing BMW for 12 years now and how could they do that. I was entitled to that refund and he said no you weren't the dealership was to get it. I am done with that dealership and it turned me off to BMW. I currently lease from Morristown BMW who is fantastic but one bad apple spoiled the pie for me. I don't need to overpay for a vehicle, be treated like dirt and looked down upon. I am leasing elsewhere where they appreciate my business. No car is worth that to get me from point A to point B. Amen-- More
