I was in the market for a new car as my lease was ending soon. I've been leasing with Honda since 2007 and felt like it was time to upgrade to an Acura. Prior to visiting Open Road Acura of Wayne I had alre soon. I've been leasing with Honda since 2007 and felt like it was time to upgrade to an Acura. Prior to visiting Open Road Acura of Wayne I had already visited 2 previous Acura dealerships and had gotten quotes on the Standard TLX and Technology package TLX. I hadn't even asked about the A-Spec because I knew the price would probably exceed what I would be willing to spend on a monthly basis. As I was doing my research on dealerrater.com I found Open Road Acura of Wayne and in reading a lot of the feedback there were a lot of positive reviews for sales person, Jose Diaz, so I gave him a call and scheduled an appointment to come in. Jose was A-MAZIIING. So polite, friendly, transparent, and told me that he would treat me like I was his own family and he wasn't lying. I really felt like he was transparent through out the negotiation and showed integrity. He presented me with various price options and I found that with every objection that I had, he presented me with a solution. I REALLY felt guided through the decision process instead of pressured and I felt confident in my decision. He presented me with a deal I could not refuse on the A-Spec that my jaw literally dropped. I think I even asked him if he was joking b/c I couldn't believe it lol. I'd never felt so sure of a car deal whereas in the past I'd always go home and feel a bit of buyers remorse. I was really happy that Jose was the sales person that I chose. I couldn't believe that I was able to get a 2022 TLX A-SPEC with red interior Aaaah! Lol I'm STILL in disbelief!!! Thank YOU so much again Jose. You are the BEST!!!! I also have to mention Jean Brea, the Finance Manager. He was really great too. Very friendly and fast, which I appreciated very much. Very very disappointed with this dealership my car was in there for 1 month due to a part that was on backorder. They gave me a loaner vehicle. While on highway a rock cracked the windshield, they made me pa there for 1 month due to a part that was on backorder. They gave me a loaner vehicle. While on highway a rock cracked the windshield, they made me pay 2,000 for the replacement of windshield which is a total ripoff for a dam 2021 ilx. You just lost a loyal customer. I will be taking my mdx for service elsewhere you won't ever get a dime from me. BTW I take full responsibility for the windshield even tho it still wasn't my fault but over charging a customer that is ridiculous. More
Jose Diaz helped me get out of my old car and into a new one, He was very profesional and knowledgeable, I recommend any one that wants to get into a new vehicle to go pay him a visit. There is a rogue, extremely rude and ill mannered saleswoman, posing as a manager over the phone named either Danielle or Yanelle, who just insulted me because I didn't like her quoted prices. Refus saleswoman, posing as a manager over the phone named either Danielle or Yanelle, who just insulted me because I didn't like her quoted prices. Refused to put on a real manger and hung up the phone on me several times after I kept calling back. I have leased three vehicles from this dealership and that shall be my last. The fact that this behavior is even aloud and not addressed is mind boggling. They seem to think they are the only Acura dealership in NJ. More
Shop at your own risk. Masters of the Bait and Switch. I took my wife to shop for her first vehicle expecting to have a professional experience. Boy was I wrong. The sales woman kept pushing off discussing monthly payments on the vehicle until after we test drove the car. Once my wife was at the table to negotiate they brought over the Carfax and said hey someone made a “mistake” on the price of the car, it’s actually $5000 more. These things “happen”. The General Manager comes over and tells me that legally he can sell the car for whatever he has listed online regardless of if you are in the showroom. How am I to know that they didn’t change the price online to ensure the “mistake” is covered up. DO NOT BUY. SHADY SHADY SHADY! More
Went to trade my 2019 mdx for 2022 mdx and they tried to sell me a car with bumper damage and 515 miles! Luckily I noticed it before ai left the lot, they couldnt offer me another car because they didnt hav sell me a car with bumper damage and 515 miles! Not acceptable, the car had 515 miles of wear and tear on the tires, brakes, oil, engine etc! I am so distugusted that they even offered me that car! Everyone introduced themselves when walking by even if we weren't dealing with them. I leased the 2021 ILX and couldn't be happier. For the first time in years I love my car. I still think I could have gotten a better deal LOL. Finance was also a pleasure to work with. There are little quirks I have but all in all, I would definitely recommend! I will be back for a car wash:) More
We had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this place. Olivia in sales spoke to us on the phone and told us she had not one, not two but five vehicles in stock that we were int experience with this place. We explained to her that we were very short of time since we were down 1 car and would appreciate if she can be upfront and honest about the numbers she quoted us and about the process. She told us to come to the dealership and assured us everything will be exactly what we discussed. We hired a sitter for the kids, drove 30 miles only to be handed over to a brand new salesperson Umberto who gave us a completely new estimates. When we told him about our discussion with Olivia he sounded shocked and told us he will get her, instead he got Olivia's manager. This new person told us that all 5 cars that were available a few hours ago are all sold *laughing outloud" and that the only one they had came with an upcharge! All I can say is their dishonesty shocked us the most, 12 years of us buying/leasing cars and we never had such a disappointing experience. Never again we will deal with this place. More
