Dear Denise Fishman, I am writing to you in regard to your complaint which completely took me by surprise as you were referred to me personally by your cousin who Ralph (our Sales Manager) and I both know and worked with. In fact, I saw your cousin the other night and he was very sorry because he knew we tried to do everything to accomodate you. It is also surprising because you purchased your vehicle almost 5 months ago so I'm not sure why you waited this long after knowing you could not receive more money off the price of the car after having taken delivery. As we told you when you purchased the vehicle; you were not entitled to recieve an extra $1000 because this money was already applied to your discounted price. When we intially spoke, Mrs.Fishman, you told me that you had already called numerous dealerships looking for the best price on an Acura and for your Kia trade. You also told me how unhappy you were with the other dealers and were thrilled with the fact that we knew your cousin, Gary, and loved the way you were treated. Not only did we beat the best price you received from another dealer by $100 we also gave you all weather mats as part of the transaction. We at Open Road Acura are very honest and in order to match a below invoice deal a coupon was needed to be applied. It was explained to you that the $1000 coupon by law needed to be taxed. We had explained this in detail to you verbally and via email. To take delivery of a vehicle and then demand another $1000 off is neither fair nor reasonable.
