Lease Turn-in, received bill a month later for $2000.00 My wife and I leased our Volkswagen Jetta a couple years ago, our lease was almost up so we started looking for another car to lease. My wife fell in love with a Volvo S60 so we decided we would check them out at Northtown Volvo since we like our experience at Northtown Volkswagen and boy did we pay for it. Our Salesmen at Volvo assured us that we could just leave our car with them at the Volvo dealership and they would return it to Volkswagen no problem. Our car was a little dirty but by no means was it abused in any way. Little did we know that we would receive a bill in the mail a month after leasing our new S60 for $2000.00!! We got charged an "excessive lease charge" for $1,500 along with other charges such as paint off of both rocker panels for a total of $400.00 and a "crack" in the front bumper which they claimed they had to replace the whole front bumper for $620.00. And to top it off we also got charged $56.69 for a "crack" in the right front wheel cover. I see many things wrong with this: 1. The salesman at Volvo assured me nothing was wrong with the car. 2. We take great care of our vehicles, including hand washing them many times and we never noticed any of these things we got charged for. 3. I never once saw a report on our Volkswagen even after requesting one. 4. If there was this damage on the vehicle at the time of turn in who is to say it didn't happen when the Volvo dealership returned the car for me back to Volkswagen. If Volkswagen treats their customers like this, I can't see me or anyone in my family ever purchasing another car from them again. More

He took the time to show me the ins and outs of my new car and went out of his way to make sure all my questions were answered. Never having bought a new car before, I walked away feeling confident and secure in my decision, and felt secure in knowing they are there if I experience any problems. He directed me to the best mix of options like he was buying it for himself. His thorough knowledge, and experience with these cars was obvious, and his enthusiasm infectious. I would recommend him, and this new GTI (it handles great). I usually like to wait to recommend things like cars (the engine is just starting to loosen up, as I break it in wisely). But I was pre-sold by the great experience of the 2004 GTI that I had bought new from Northtown, and just traded in. So I'm comfortable in saying that Greg, VW, and Northtown are a winning combination of product and people- that will serve you well. More

Terrible & Horrendous experience I just purchased a new VW Passat 2015 from Northtown showroom in Millersport Highway and wanted to share the experience . As much as I am excited driv I just purchased a new VW Passat 2015 from Northtown showroom in Millersport Highway and wanted to share the experience . As much as I am excited driving my new car, I am terribly terribly disappointed in having chosen Northtownauto to purchase it from. Everything I've seen so far has been so chaotic, misleading and disappointing. The latest fiasco being, given the wrong VIN number and being revealed 2 days after the purchase of the car. I had extensive discussions about the price of the car and I was informed that they would match the price from a different dealer ( which was 22000$) . When I decided to purchase the car, I was told that they would enquire with VW if I was eligible for 0% APR and an 'additional rebate amount which would vary between 1000 to 1500 dollars'. This Saturday, I was informed that I was approved for 0% APR and a rebate of 1000$. I was happy with the deal and I was asked to bring the cheque, insurance ID and the necessary paperwork. And the surprises started once I came in. I was shocked to see that the price of the car was listed as 25000 and the EMI calculated based on that. Then when I told about the cross-dealer price match and the rebate that was offered (something that I texted and confirmed just 2 hours back), the manager there told me that he was 'unaware' of all that and could best just match the cross-dealer price match and not offer any rebate amount. When I was explaining the situation, he asked me to come back Monday if I needed more details as he was just filling in and he did not know any details. This was extremely unprofessional as I had done all the previous research and was straight to the point before I even came over. Since I had plans, I had to buy the car. Basically the promise which was given just 2 hours back was not honored. And what was more amazing is how no one wants to take ownership and continue using the words "I dont know what was said earlier" , "I am just filling in", etc. The other amazing part was, I was told to sign the '1000$ rebate approved form', though I did not receive any rebate. And then I was asked to fill a survey form, prefilled with words such as 'Excellent', though my experience was far far from it. I was told I cannot get the car without signing these. I am sure there are better ways to do the business than conning the customers and giving them last minute surprises. I am sharing my terrible experience and I would certainly not recommend Northtown to any of my friends thanks to the wonderful experience I just had. And the best part is when I was asked to escalate the case to the GM, I was sent a mail back, asking to write my reviews here. More
