We brought our 2015 tiguan in for a brake issue. The service department charged us $1200 dollars to replace the left front caliper along with the front brake pads and rotors. 30,000 miles later the caliper leaked and failed. They stated that they only warranty for 1 year or 12,000 miles. Do not go here if you are looking for decent service or a service department that stands by their work.
Northtown and their sales team have been withholding hundreds of dollars from me for 6 weeks with no just cause. It seems like they care more about money than customer service and there are plenty of dealerships where you can buy a Volkswagen, don’t get one here. This dealership has changed. I am coming up on the last year of my third lease from Northtown and I have always been impressed with the customer service but my latest experience has been terrible. I went into the dealership to talk about a new car and my salesman, Dan Rubino, kept me waiting for an hour to sign one piece of paper to look at a car in a month. In that time I witnessed him go into a cubicle with an elderly couple he had kept waiting longer than me and start shouting. I could not determine what the disagreement was over because the couple maintained their composure while only Dan was audible from half way across the showroom floor. I put down a refundable deposit on a car but ultimately decided this was not the year I needed to be buying a new car so I called Dan and requested my deposit to be returned. He sent me a text message back in response to my voicemail still trying to sell me the car and not addressing the return of my deposit. I called him 4 times over the next month, each time leaving a voicemail because he would not take my calls, he called me back once, didn’t leave a voicemail, didn’t take my return call, and did not respond to my voicemail. I then called sales manager Joe Aiello who did not do me the courtesy of returning my voicemail. I called the main dealership number and requested to be connected to a sales manager who was working that day. I was directed to Joshua Lange, left a voicemail, and he did not show me the respect of giving me a return call either. I finally left a voicemail on Northtown’s general line which states that you can expect a call back within 24 hours. After 24 hours still no return call.
Short waiting time and very nice and helpful people. The guys were very understanding especially during this time. Thank you for fixing my car light!
I called to inquire about getting my Jetta TDI looked at for a check engine light. I was told (and there was a “service specials” coupon) to diagnose the car for free. I had the car towed in, called to check the status the following day and was told it would be over $200 to see what the issue was. When I mentioned what I was told - and the service special- I was bluntly told that I’d have to pay, with no explanation of f the discrepancy.
I am writing this in to express my extreme dissatisfaction of the services rendered at this dealerships service center. Being a volkswagen owner now knowing what all that entails. Pretty much fee after fee for crappy part after part failing on my vehicle. Anyway my car does one day parked in the driveway thought it was the battery turns out the timing chain broke. I take it to a cpl mechanics I know the first didn't work on vw the second did but could not locate the part I needed. Being that when the timing chain breaks aside from potentially causing an accident serious harm or death. It also causes the cylinders and the cylinder housing to be bent and damaged causing all components to have to be replaced. So after trying to locate a mechanic that was reasonably priced to remedy my issue I was left with no alternative but to take it to the "specialists" at northtown vollswagen. I had my car towed there Apr 30th today is now May 13th, I have taken my car to this location 3 times within this time frame and it is still not repaired. Yet I have managed to pay a sum of $4600 for a 2012 VW CC to be returned to proper working order which on 2 occasions already I have been assured it had yet and still it has not. Now upon my 3rd visit to this dealership I am being advised now I need oil pan maintenance performed at the tune of another $900. I don't know about anyone else but I feel like I'm being scammed and don't feel like it's my owners at this point as far as monetary transactions are concerned for someone else's incompetence. If I were advised when I brought my car to ne services that they would just be guessing and fixing things and charging me for it, I probably would have taken it elsewhere. Not to mention I brought it back a second time expressing this same issue had occured and been told after they looked at my vehicle it needed a battery which I paid for and that it was in optimal condition which it was not and this is the second time I'm being told this. This is terrible business I have to say.
I will never set foot in there again and HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING THERE EVER. I went to get an estimate for repairs on my 2011 Volkswagen Jetta SE(basic model) and they want over 15 grand for a job that only cost about a few grand at the most.Waste of my time. ZERO STARS.
