We brought our 2015 tiguan in for a brake issue. They stated that they only warranty for 1 year or 12,000 miles. Do not go here if you are looking for decent service or a service department that stands by their work. More
Northtown and their sales team have been withholding hundreds of dollars from me for 6 weeks with no just cause. It seems like they care more about money than customer service and there are plenty of dealerships where you can buy a Volkswagen, don’t get one here. This dealership has changed. I am coming up on the last year of my third lease from Northtown and I have always been impressed with the customer service but my latest experience has been terrible. I went into the dealership to talk about a new car and my salesman, Dan Rubino, kept me waiting for an hour to sign one piece of paper to look at a car in a month. In that time I witnessed him go into a cubicle with an elderly couple he had kept waiting longer than me and start shouting. I could not determine what the disagreement was over because the couple maintained their composure while only Dan was audible from half way across the showroom floor. I put down a refundable deposit on a car but ultimately decided this was not the year I needed to be buying a new car so I called Dan and requested my deposit to be returned. He sent me a text message back in response to my voicemail still trying to sell me the car and not addressing the return of my deposit. I called him 4 times over the next month, each time leaving a voicemail because he would not take my calls, he called me back once, didn’t leave a voicemail, didn’t take my return call, and did not respond to my voicemail. I then called sales manager Joe Aiello who did not do me the courtesy of returning my voicemail. I called the main dealership number and requested to be connected to a sales manager who was working that day. I was directed to Joshua Lange, left a voicemail, and he did not show me the respect of giving me a return call either. I finally left a voicemail on Northtown’s general line which states that you can expect a call back within 24 hours. After 24 hours still no return call. More

I was told (and there was a “service specials” coupon) to diagnose the car for free. I had the car towed in, called to check the status the following day and was told it would be over $200 to see what the issue was. When I mentioned what I was told - and the service special- I was bluntly told that I’d have to pay, with no explanation of f the discrepancy. More
Service or disservice. Can you fix it or not? I am writing this in to express my extreme dissatisfaction of the services rendered at this dealerships service center. Being a volkswagen owner now k I am writing this in to express my extreme dissatisfaction of the services rendered at this dealerships service center. Being a volkswagen owner now knowing what all that entails. Pretty much fee after fee for crappy part after part failing on my vehicle. Anyway my car does one day parked in the driveway thought it was the battery turns out the timing chain broke. I take it to a cpl mechanics I know the first didn't work on vw the second did but could not locate the part I needed. Being that when the timing chain breaks aside from potentially causing an accident serious harm or death. It also causes the cylinders and the cylinder housing to be bent and damaged causing all components to have to be replaced. So after trying to locate a mechanic that was reasonably priced to remedy my issue I was left with no alternative but to take it to the "specialists" at northtown vollswagen. I had my car towed there Apr 30th today is now May 13th, I have taken my car to this location 3 times within this time frame and it is still not repaired. Yet I have managed to pay a sum of $4600 for a 2012 VW CC to be returned to proper working order which on 2 occasions already I have been assured it had yet and still it has not. Now upon my 3rd visit to this dealership I am being advised now I need oil pan maintenance performed at the tune of another $900. I don't know about anyone else but I feel like I'm being scammed and don't feel like it's my owners at this point as far as monetary transactions are concerned for someone else's incompetence. If I were advised when I brought my car to ne services that they would just be guessing and fixing things and charging me for it, I probably would have taken it elsewhere. Not to mention I brought it back a second time expressing this same issue had occured and been told after they looked at my vehicle it needed a battery which I paid for and that it was in optimal condition which it was not and this is the second time I'm being told this. This is terrible business I have to say. More

Terrible Worst customer service experience of my life. The only reason I will ever return to this dealership is because of the vehicle warranty. Other than th Worst customer service experience of my life. The only reason I will ever return to this dealership is because of the vehicle warranty. Other than the Jetta I purchased, I have zero positive things to say about this dealership. Couldn't pick up my car because it was the salesman's day off. Day I picked the vehicle up, air cover came off and was rubbing on the fan belt, and car was dirty. Called to make a service appointment the same day, they had no availability until the following week. Brought it in for service, they had it for three days, during which I received no updates. I finally called, and the services department told me it had been ready the same day, but failed to notify me. They agreed to bring me the vehicle at work, great! I got it and the interior was still dirty! I've now had the vehicle for three months, check engine light came on. Made a service appointment online. Brought it in at scheduled time, but no service techs available!!! Even with an appointment!!! Had to make yet another appointment for next week! If zero stars were possible, that's what they would get! More

They set me up with Salesman Tony who never even offered me water or coffee. As soon as he saw me all he saw was a dollar figure on my face. He was only thinking about how much money he can extract from me rather than providing a quality customer service experience. I was going to buy a 2018 VW Jetta which if you go on their company website the dealership has them $4,500 off sticker price because they are last years model. 2019 is going to be all new from the ground up. Once I found the exact car I wanted and had a VIN # did Tony try to get me the best deal possible? Absolutely NOT! The man was a snake trying to extract every last dollar out of my wallet. He never even bothered to negotiate a price for the car first. Instead all he did was run my credit to see how large of a Loan the bank would give me. Once he saw the size of my loan he went ahead and wrote up a deal without my consent on how much I will be paying for the car. He was trying to get me to pay full MSRP on last years model VW Jetta. Once I asked about the sales price on the exact same car with VIN # at first he played dumb. Then once I showed him on my smart phone that the sales was real he then changed his mind and said that it was only a cash price. The classic bait and switch technique. I wasted all my time going to Northtown VW trying to get a deal on a new car. This was the sleeziest car salesman I had ever had the misfortune of crossing paths with. So what did I do? This turned me off from the brand completely. Because Volkswagen literally translates from German to English "People Car". It was a car that was originally intended by it's founder "Ferdinand Porsche" to be an affordable, reliable, practical car for basic A to B transportation. Northtown definitely did not life up to the standard. I left that crummy car dealership and bought a brand new Mitsubishi and they honored the online sales price because they were honest. Never shop at Northtown VW. They will rip you off. Even if you are low income and can't afford to be ripped off they don't have any heart at all. They will slash your throat for a larger commission. They have no soul More
The epitome of a terrible service experience Today marks the last time I will ever set foot in this dealership. They have mishandled every single repair on my VW Passat, ranging from missed items Today marks the last time I will ever set foot in this dealership. They have mishandled every single repair on my VW Passat, ranging from missed items on oil changes, ordering the wrong parts, jerry-rigging, and damaging the car during repairs. Today I ventured in for a 1230 appointment to have recall item fixed. Volkswagen says one hour to fix I was told 8!!!! Appointment times mean nothing, you will wait and wonder. Everyone looks glazed and unhappy, there is an extreme lack of effective management, and the staff is visibly disengaged. All said it's makes for an absolutely horrible experience. Yelp says it all More
