I cannot recommend this place enough. "H" went out of his way to get me the car I wanted. He shared his expertise in a friendly and professional way. I had one small issue after purchasing the car; he fixed it for free, even though I didn't have a warranty that covered it. It is rare to find honest, friendly, helpful (and very knowledgable!) people in this business who want to be sure their costomers are happy before AND after the sale. I plan to get my car serviced here as well; his mechanic is top-notch and the prices are nearly half that of the dealer. More

I had a very positive buying experience at Northern VA Imports. “H” (the owner) was very good to work with; very friendly and accommodating. The car was well-prepared for sale (it even had clean brake fluid!), and H was willing to adjust the price for those deficient items I noted on the test drive. However, here is what sets “H” apart from all other used-car dealers: he stood by me AFTER the sale! Specifically, I didn’t discover until AFTER I’d bought the car and driven it home (2 hours away, a friend drove it back for me) that the in-dash radio/6-CD changer didn’t work, among some other things. There was absolutely NO warranty conveyed with the car (I accepted and signed that disclaimer when I purchased the car) - nevertheless, yet H pledged to get me a working radio. After sending me 2 different used radios that turned out to also be inoperative (poor OEM Nissan/Bose design), H agreed to reimburse me for the cost (over $200) to just get my radio repaired locally. Long story short, I paid to get the radio repaired locally, and H mailed a check to reimburse me. In summary: H kept his promises, and then some! He was very available for answering questions both before and after the sale, and he followed up on my title paperwork in a timely fashion. That said, if you are looking to buy a car from H, I highly recommend you take him up on his pre-purchase inspection offer/policy and get it checked out. Make sure you price out any needed transponder keys, floor mats, license brackets and such before you sign the dotted line, because for some cars (Nissan, VW) those are NOT incidental expenses (my pricing rating was a 3 due to this). Overall experience was a 4 instead of 5 simply because H’s facility is very small and crowded – I was worried whether I’d get my car out of that parking lot without hitting another car or the fence, or someone else hitting me. Overall, Northern VA Imports is a beacon of light in a business that has a shady reputation. More

This was my 3rd time buying a used vehicle, and this was a real pain free process. We got the kind of car we wanted, and at a very reasonable price. And although I didn't go to the trouble of having an independent person check out the car before I sold it, I did take the vehicle in to a dealer after the fact, and the car checked out fine. My only point of dissatisfaction (and this is getting a little nit-picky) on my part --- is that we were only given one key. Outside of that, everything was great. Thanks H! More

I purchase a car from Northern VA Imports for my 16-year old daughter. Pricing was okay and service was friendly. However: --The "check engine" light came on 25 minutes after I left the dealership old daughter. Pricing was okay and service was friendly. However: --The "check engine" light came on 25 minutes after I left the dealership with car and I was on my way to another meeting so I could not return the car to dealership. I took the car into the local VW dealership the next day and it required $400 worth of parts and labor to bring the car back into compliance with the manufacturer's specifications. --The car was advertised as coming with a 6-CD changer. While the hardware was there, the magazine that hold the CDs in missing so the CD changer is worthless. --I was only give a valet key, which did not give me access to the trunk. I had to purchase a master key from the VW dealership that had to be programmed to match the car. $275. --Car did not have owner's manual in it. I purchased one off of Ebay. $48. --After three weeks, I had to remind Northern VA Imports to send me the title transfer paperwork so that I could register the car and get license plates. At that time, they notified me that they had the owner's manual for the vehicle. --Perhaps the pricing was not as reasonable as I thought once you add in these other costs. More

As a used car consumer i have been shopping for a while and once i spoke with "H" he was able t service/knowledge and professinalism that was great. During my search, I have contacted and researched many car dealerships via phone and email from across the country, and so far this is the only dealership I have dealt with that contained a knowledgeable staff, "H", the sales representative I talked with, and a friendly attitude. Although they don't have my dream car as part of their inventory they do have a Mirage that hopefully I will be able to see on Monday.
