I had an appointment with Shannon and they said it would be done at 2pm. I had to call at 4:05 to find out if my car was done or if they would get a hold of me. I get a voicemail at 4:30 saying they would need to keep the car to finish up some of the work because they had a hiccup. They would take care of it tomorrow and if I had a question to call by 5:30. 5/23 I called around noon to find out if it was going to be done. I get a call at 2:17 to give me an update and to give her a call before 4pm. Again... about an hour window to call back. I called back and left a message with her and the service manager to get an update. nothing. 5/24 I call at 4:03pm to see if I can pick it up and leave her a message.... call right back and leave the service manager a message. I get a hold of the receptionist who told me she was sick and she would have the service manager call me back... nothing. 5/25 I call at 11:49 and leave her a voicemail. Left another at 11:53 for the service manager. I call back at 1:09 and demand to talk to someone. Shannon gets on the phone and I ask whats going on.. she said, "she left me a few messages"... I said, "after I called you and only on monday and tuesday... nothing yesterday or today. It was supposed to be done days ago and you haven't updated me or anything." She said, "the entire computer system shut down and it won't be ready until hopefully the end of JUNE!" WHAAAT! I was told monday and then overnight a part and now its late june and you guys haven't let me know or tried to offer a car in the mean time? My buddy had to drop me off multiple times and use his car since I work sales. She said good news I did the paper work to get you a rental, you can go to hertz and put a 50 deposit down and get one until its fixed.... I was shocked... You don't need me to come in or get this figured out? nope.... I said ill be right in. Talked to Scott the owner who was very nice and cordial, but couldn't help with compensation, but gave me the number for ford to call later....I told him I had already planned on doing a performance package and bought some oil packages. He said after I get it back he would try and help do it at cost if I was still interested. Save a couple hundred bucks if I do, but doesn't really help the next month or if I don't do it. He asked if I had a rental car and I told him what she told me... He said he would be right back and get me one. Hertz didn't have any on hand and would be an hour to get one.. They have a F-150 in the meantime. I said fine, until they have a car that will work. He walked me over and I heard the service manager say xxxx, it doesn't have gas. He told a guy to go ASAP and get it done in 5 minutes.... In the meantime I asked parts about the Performance upgrade they had on ford website and he had no clue what it was or what it cost. I asked service and they told me to go to parts. I guess nobody knows the parts they sell and what seemed like a pretty easy question as far as to what they normally charge. While I was waiting I wanted to check on my car and get my house key. She told me where it was and I find it outside with the windows down! I asked her and she said they bring it in at night.. I said the windows are still down most of the day and is going to be for a month! I go back to talk to Scott the Owner that the windows are down and it's been almost an hour with them only saying it's getting gas. It's less then 3 minutes away to the station! He says ok.. I walk back over to service and he comes in to figure something out with the windows. They will find a way or put it inside across the street. Ok fine. I finally get the loaner truck and go home. I call the number and it's the wrong number. I call back and he's already gone, but they found the mistake. Last number was written wrong. I call ford to let them know what's going on and see if they can help compensate the time im missing with my car and for everything else. I tell him they set it for Monday and they just told me it will be until July for them to be able to replace the ECU and the owner told me to call you to see about compensation since I will be without my car and all of the trouble. After a few minutes he says he will confirm with Ford and get it figured out. He introduces someone and ITS NORTH COUNTY FORD TO SET AN APPOINTMENT TO GET THE RECALL FIXED!!!! She said I don't know why he forwarded you then. I call back and there closed now... UNBELIEVABLE!! They didn't do a single thing right. Other then the owner... nobody else seemed to think this was a big deal and were terrible at getting things done or at least letting me know whats going on and I was right next to them almost the entire time. One of the worst experiences ever and we have at least a month to go. Outrageous! As I was leaving I hear them talk about the same recall to someone else and didn't mention it could go wrong....WOW! I understand things go wrong with a car, but the communication and way this was handled was truly awful. I really hope it gets better from here since I have no other choice. My car is completely dead or I would move it. More
Horrible Service We took our the car in because half of the time it was sputtering, dying at stops and overheating when it was acting up. They took a few days and call We took our the car in because half of the time it was sputtering, dying at stops and overheating when it was acting up. They took a few days and called and said it was the timing belt. The cost was $1073, and we picked the car up. On the way home it acted up for a short period of time and we took it back the next day because it was still acting up - worse than before. So, they did a compression check on the engine and could not find the problem. Brent asked to keep the car until another mechanic could look at it on Tuesday, this was Thursday. They offered us a loaner car, which we picked up on Saturday. Tuesday we get a call from Brent and he said the wiring harness looked like it was wired wrong and they wanted to keep the car for another day to make sure it fixed the problem. On Wednesday, Brent called and said he felt $212 was a fair price for the repair, and they wouldn't charge shop fees. Wednesday evening we went into the dealership and spoke with Brandon Anderson, a service manager, and explained the situation. He listened, said he wanted to talk to the mechanic and would get back to us on Thursday, and we should keep the loaner car until then. Thursday, Brandon called and said that the timing belt was worn and would have had to been replaced eventually, and offered us a free tire rotation and oil change. So, a simple $212 repair ended up costing us $1285. We will no longer recommend this place for service and will be looking for a new car somewhere else later this year. More
Horrible! Very disappointed We were told our new truck was ready. So we drove 1 hour 45 min. (One way). When we got there.. As often w So I headed to North County Ford with very specific cars in mind from their website. Aaron Thrailkill intercepted me as I wandered the lot. As often when, when shopping for cars, I provide very vague price ranges and interests to check the salesman's integrity. Sure enough Aaron took me to four cars which included my top 3. He was courteous and honest about what he knew and his inventory. A true professional. We test drove all three and he had a great attitude about the process. One was at my price limit, two were in range. When we finally sat down to discuss numbers he was prompt and understanding when my wife called. Immediately gave us privacy without hesitation and was very upfront when our call ended and negotiations began. For the higher priced car I wanted to see if he would lead me on. He never did. He promptly took my offer to the manager and returned with our ranges. We were just out but he made the process quick and respectful. On the other vehicles we found common ground and he worked hard to get my price locked in. Long story short, in half the time we found a great deal for everyone, agreed on terms and the sale was going into the books. Great story but I have to shout out to the other salesman who were kind and engaging while Aaron was busy preparing the cars for test drives. Their was little incentive for them to be so kind but I felt engaged and welcome by their entire staff especially Karl in Finance who was just a hoot to talk to and hang out with. Thanks for making this a great experience and landing me into the car I wanted at the price I wanted. More

They even let me borrow a car while it was getting fixed. Jeremy in service at North County Ford was so helpful, and I felt that I could really trust him. I felt that the team at North county Ford was fair, and that they did a very good job fixing the problem and checking out the rest of the car. They also checked and cleared a recall to make sure that my car is up to date and safe. It turns out that I am getting a refund from Ford for the recall thanks to the diligence and attention to detail of North County Ford's team. They did not overcharge me and the labor rate was very reasonable. More

Worthless Daughter's car was towed in for steering failure at 65 MPH and transmission issues for her 2012 Focus. 3 days and still too busy to look at it. No ef Daughter's car was towed in for steering failure at 65 MPH and transmission issues for her 2012 Focus. 3 days and still too busy to look at it. No effort to help, just need to be patient. Either a lot of bad cars or not enough techs to handle the load. Might get to the steering today, but they don't have a transmission tech available for 7-10 days. Asked that they contact another dealership for the transmission. Service writer says Luther doesn't have another Ford dealership, so he doesn't have any other dealerships to work with. I have never dealt with a service department this overwhelmed by work. Steering lock-up is a known issue and they have nothing to say about it. Hard to have any faith in them when you're met with blank stares and no answers to simple questions. This is only for service. Sales group was great. More

After emailing back and forth with internet guy Jarrett about a used Ford F250 that was listed on multiple sites online for a good price I stopped by to see it. He told me it was being serviced to be a ce about a used Ford F250 that was listed on multiple sites online for a good price I stopped by to see it. He told me it was being serviced to be a certified used car so he showed me the truck while it was being worked on-didnt get to see much but looked good. Told him I will keep in touch to see when the truck was done. This went on for 2 weeks- emails back and forth- the truck was taking a long time to be "certified" or fixed. Then I finally got an email from him on MOnday (3 weeks after initial email) that the truck would be lot ready tuesday morning and I could come test drive it. Told him great and that my husband and I would be by at 6pm to drive it. We get a sitter and drive over to find out that Dustin would be helping us because Jarrett was gone and then they couldn't locate the keys or the truck. After about 30 minutes they said the truck had been loaned out to a customer with a truck in service. I was shocked. Why would they loan out a truck just finally certified and put on the lot and when they knew we were coming. IT wasn't like we had just called up that day-I was a serious buyer in contact with the internet sales guy for weeks. I asked to talk to the Manager (todd) and he was so rude. I explained that we had been in contact for a while about this truck and how could this happen and his only explanation was that a different sales guy let the truck go. Shouldn't sales people be in communication? I have been in sales for 10 years and I know that and I also know that you shouldn't treat a customer like this. I never even got an email from Jarrett the next day to say sorry or anything. I have emailed Jarrett for an explanation and never received anything and now that truck is no longer on the website. Sounds like this has happened to others before-bait and switch! such a bummer since I liked the truck but I am glad I didn't give them my money! More
