When my 90 days was almost up for my 2011 GTI, I booked an appointment with the Suburban VW of Troy's Service for a 90 days check up, note that I bought the car here, and was pretty happy with their helpful sales staff. The scheduling was fine and got a date that works fine for me. Upon arrival of that day I bring my car to the dealership. The service adviser who I don't know the name, took the key, and checked the mileage. Then promptly returned the key to me. He said that the 90 days inspection has a mileage limit of 3000 miles, and my car at which point had 4500 miles and was over the limit and thus not eligible for the check up. Not knowing the program in detail, but feeling a bit fishy about his claim, I left the dealership. Upon checking on VW.com, the program clearly notes on the site that the program is for cars before 90days or 6000 miles, not 3000 miles. This kind of either ignorant(bad) or deceiving(worse) service adviser is infuriating to a customer who decided to take a chance with VW despite knowing their not-so-stellar record for reliable cars. Fortunately there is another VW dealer in the area who was happy to honor the check up, and have since become my dealer of choice for service visit(one Courtesy check up, one TSB claim, and one schedule maintenance with them now). At no point in time, from first contact to phone calls to buying the car after hours, I felt rushed or talked into a buying decision. Which is not what I can say for some other dealers I contacted. People in other dealerships (regardless of car brand) were generally nice, but I must say some of the other dealers' phone calls were intimidating, to say the least. Which is why I was sincerely impressed with the experience that Roger O., Steve E. and Matt V. created for us. Roger went out of his way to give me the best possible price and make everything, from initial contact to car pickup, convenient. The car I initially inquired about was sold by the time I got there, but Roger arranged for another car (in a color I actually liked better) to wait for me at the time of my visit. Steve was very patient and took his time to explain what there is to know about the car and related services. Matt answered all our financing and warranty-related questions thoroughly and closed the deal quickly. It is rare to walk out of a business today and know that you have actually made friends! If your next car is a Mazda, do yourself a favor and visit this dealership. I am confident that you won't be disappointed. Anton More

I found a car that I liked on my own and decided to go back to Dante because my initial impression of him was laid back and respectful. My first impression couldn't have been farther off. As the sale went on he got exceedingly aggressive with me and the situation became very unprofessional to say the least. He hassled me for choosing my personal credit union for financing, even after the check was presented. This lead to more arguing (with my friend and myself) while waiting for the finance associate. We had to excuse ourselves to the waiting room until it was time to sign the paperwork. I almost withdrew my sale with Dante and gave it to the more polite salesman. The used car manager seemed to dismiss his negative actions. By the end of it I was just happy to have my car and get out of that building. OUR SALES PERSON, DANTE DAVIS, WAS VERY RESPONSIVE TO OUR NEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS WASHED, CLEANED, AND GASED AT OUR REQUEST BEFORE OUR TEST DRIVE. THE "GIVE AND TAKE" DURING THE PURCHASE WAS RESPECTFUL AND SO NEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS WASHED, CLEANED, AND GASED AT OUR REQUEST BEFORE OUR TEST DRIVE. THE "GIVE AND TAKE" DURING THE PURCHASE WAS RESPECTFUL AND SOMEWHAT ENJOYABLE; EVEN THOUGH HE WAS ALSO WORKING ON "SEALING THE DEAL" WITH 2 OR 3 OTHER CUSTOMERS. HE EVEN FOUND TIME TO BRING US PIZZA AND DRINK. HIS FOLLOW UP WAS JUST AS SINCERE AS BEFORE THE SIGNING OF THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT. REMARKABLE ! I PLAN ON UP-DATING THIS RESPONSE AFTER I HAVE SOME WARR. WORK COMPLETED ON ANOTHER VW I BOUGHT AT ANOTHER DEALER. FINALLY, WHAT IS ALSO IMPORTANT IS THAT I OBSERVED HOW OTHER BUYERS WERE BEING TREATED, AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT THEY SEEMED TO GET THE SAME CARE (EVEN WHEN THE BARGAINING GOT ROUGH).
