I had an AWFUL experience purchasing a vehicle through Suburban Volkswagen. During the purchasing process, I had to return to the dealership five separate times to redo paperwork they "messed up". V Suburban Volkswagen. During the purchasing process, I had to return to the dealership five separate times to redo paperwork they "messed up". Visit one: Immediately after purchasing the vehicle, they realize they used the wrong document or something. I'm not sure what they did wrong exactly, they were very unclear on it. They ripped up the original paperwork and had me sign new paperwork. While going through this paperwork, I noticed they did not include the VW Certified Pre-Loved extended warranty line item that had previously been agreed to in our verbal contract and the now ripped-up paperwork. I brought that up and they re-added it. Visit two: Originally they put my financing in through Nissan instead of VW Credit(how does that even HAPPEN?!). Visit three: They said I didn't sign some paper that expressed that I would purchase insurance on the vehicle. That should have been done during the original deal. I didn't want to drive in to resolve their mistake, so I asked if they could mail it to me, they were not willing to do that. I have insurance on the vehicle, for what it's worth, so I'm not sure what good this intent document was. Visit four: Since they put my financing in through Nissan instead of VW originally(it's a VW vehicle! Why would you put it in through Nissan?), I had to return to the dealership to give them my first payment. Visit five: My vehicle's driver side window quit functioning, so I brought it in to their shop for repair. I was informed I did not have VW Certified Pre-Loved. I have paperwork from them that says that I do, but they insist that I only have gap coverage. I still have not resolved this issue. I am infuriated with the service I have received from Suburban VW. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from them to anyone. They are incredibly pushy, arrogant, and difficult people who are incompetent at performing the necessities of their job. More
You better stay away from this dealership, go look for deal somewhere else. If you decide to buy vehicle from them be especially careful when you purchasing “certified used car “ 99% of those vehicles deal somewhere else. If you decide to buy vehicle from them be especially careful when you purchasing “certified used car “ 99% of those vehicles were rental vehicles , and some of them were involved in accident .Of course they not going to tell you about and they will not tell you a lot of things .Same happened to me ,I thought I had got a good deal but turn out that car was involved in collision ,and with ton of scratches After two days wanted to exchange car but they (manager Bob, and sales person name Ziad)made even worse deal almost rip me of for $3000. SO AVOID SUBURBAN NISSAN OF TROY MICHIGAN !!!!!!!!! More
The Suburban collection as a whole is a high-pressure, don't ask questions, don't be an educated buyer, pain. I leased a Mazda 6 and when it was time for the renewal, I went to Suburban to discuss new ve don't ask questions, don't be an educated buyer, pain. I leased a Mazda 6 and when it was time for the renewal, I went to Suburban to discuss new vehicles. I wanted to drive the Mazda 3 manual. None in stock, so we drove the automatic. Jean-Joseph, the sales person, started out driving the car from the dealer!!! What did I care if he drove? Then we switched in a grocery store parking lot about 1/2 mile away. He then proceeded to play his Reggae CD to demonstrate the car's stereo, loudly. I may be 29, but I don't blast the stereo anymore and don't expect a sales person to. After the test drive he pulled the "what will it take to get you into this car right now". Answer - I won't take this car. I want a manual, and I have to shop around. He asks what cars I'm checking, I say the Civic, Fit, Versa, Sentra. He tells me "You don't want a Fit or a Versa - A "real" guy wouldn't want that, they sound too ..." and stopped. I know he wanted to say gay. Not an appropriate comment. I tell him to follow-up with me when he has a manual in stock. He calls me the next two days and I continue to push for the manual - a week later he has it in stock. I go to test drive the manual, and see there are new specials on the Mazda 6. He pulls the 3 up and wants to walk me around the car again. I tell him not needed, I know the car. He then quizzes me on the engine displacement, 2.3 - same as my 6; horsepower - 156, same as my 6, tires, then goes to Torque. I say, I don't know the torque, what is it. His answer - I don't know it either! Now he's just being condescending. After the test drive, he didn't drive this time, we come back to the dealer. I tell him I want the prices on the 3 Manual, 6i Sport Value Edition manual and 6i Sport Value Edition Automatic. He says the manager will only work on one vehicle at a time, so I tell him to go get a price, bring it to me, then go back and get the next one and so on - I want all three in front of me at once. He proceeds to come back with a ridiculous quote on the 3 and I ask him to go get the other quotes. He pulls the "what will it take to get you into this 3" and writes the whole "I will take this car and this price immediately" contract thing - and I tell him $240 from his $335. He goes to see the sales manager - I'm thinking to get my quotes on the 6 - and comes back with the sales manager who tells me that I am way off, if I want to consider something else, maybe he can work that price. I ask the sales manager where the prices for the 6 are and he proceeds to tell me I don't want the 6 - it's not the right car for me. Needless to say I get up, tell him "I have been happy with my Mazda 6 for two years - it is the right car for me" and that I will be back only to turn in my current vehicle. Not once has Jean-Joseph called to follow-up or make any amends. He let the potential sale walk. My biggest frustration is that in a 45 minute drive radius from my home, there are three Mazda dealers, two of which are Suburban Collection dealers. This makes price comparisons difficult. More
I just finished a review of the sales department, but wanted to provide an excellent review of the service department. I made an appointment online, they called shortly after to confirm. The service ad wanted to provide an excellent review of the service department. I made an appointment online, they called shortly after to confirm. The service advisor was friendly, courteous, called to let me know as soon as the car was done, offered a loaner if needed, all in all, great to work with. I would deal with the Service Department at Suburban Mazda of Troy any time, but it's hard when the sales department is so bad to have a Mazda to bring to them. More
I went to this dealer to purchase a 350z, no one was available on the floor, so I walked around to find some one. I spoke with Bart the General Manager of the import center. I let him know I'm intereste available on the floor, so I walked around to find some one. I spoke with Bart the General Manager of the import center. I let him know I'm interested in driving this car and buying it today. He proceeds to tell me that there have been allot of inquires on this vehicle and he wanted to pull my credit before I drove the car and worked on a deal. I felt he was being very racist, I can under stand because of the type of vehicle maybe we can come to terms on price and go from there. So I left and went to Jeffery Nissan, and was treated fairly.
