Look elsewhere for service Originally posted 9-13-18, updated Wife had an emergency issue with her Pathfinder that we purchased from Exton Nissan a year ago (July 2017), it w Originally posted 9-13-18, updated Wife had an emergency issue with her Pathfinder that we purchased from Exton Nissan a year ago (July 2017), it would not shift into Drive. Wife had been backing out of our driveway and her Pathfinder was stuck in Reverse. I went out and managed to get it down into Drive as long as i held the shifter there, releasing it would pop it out of gear. Took it to 422 Nissan as it is local to me to have it checked out, after 10 mins of inputting my info, the service guy informs me that it will be a $125.00 fee for "diagnostics" to be run on my wifes truck before they will even look at it. Left dealership and took it home, looked it up and found a youtube video and had it fixed within an hour, which if i had left at dealership would of been $125 + Tech hourly charge. Contacted regular shop i have do service on my vehicles and was informed they never charge a diagnostic fee, only charge when they determine the problem. This dealer just made it a whole lot easier for us when looking for a new vehicle. Thought things would have been different when they changed hands, but still same garbage service. GM had reached out via telephone the day i posted this, but never held up his end of the conversation. More
