Went inside and talked to guy in middle of the techs (short guy with no personality). He wanted to charge me $189 to fond the problem for a burned out low beam headlight. NOT COOL! Between them overcharging me and his arrogant attitude, not going back! More
Worst service department I've ever worked with. Months ago the service department recommended an exhaust service for over $3,000. After balking at this price I shopped around and the local Meineke fixed the problem for $345. I then called to inquire as to what made the cost over $3,000 and they insisted that was the price. After pressing, they admitted they could use after-market parts and probably get the price down to $1,200. Upton then admitting I had already fixed the issue for $345, I was told "Oh, well that's because we don't have welders." THEN TELL THE CUSTOMER THAT! TELL THE CUSTOMER you're ill equipped to fix the problem in a cost effective manner! But still, against my better judgement, I decide to give them another chance when I start having issues with my trunk not closing. This fix costs over $500, hours of missed work and required no less than THREE SEPERATE VISITS to the dealership in which I was consistently misled only to have them admit this when I was pressed. All this concludes in them telling me that their repair shouldn't require a reprogramming of my trunk remote. Yet here I am weeks later and I was lied to yet again. After bringing my car in specifically to get the key fob reprogrammed to the new locking mechanism I overpaid for, I was assured it was not necessary. You guessed it, weeks later my key fob still does not unlock my truck. Absolute incompetence by this service department. More
This review covers my sales experience. I don't live in the area (about 250 miles away) so can't speak to the post-sales / service. Working with Nick Erlinger was wonderful for me. I found I don't live in the area (about 250 miles away) so can't speak to the post-sales / service. Working with Nick Erlinger was wonderful for me. I found the car via Toyota's online inventory search, called to confirm the availability of it, and requested confirmation of an "out the door" price. With Newbold being part of the SmartPath, a final price is online, but I needed to understand what in terms of process and cost would be different since I was from out of state. Nick was quick to understand my needs and very efficient in getting back to me with all the info I needed. He even confirmed that they would be able to take care of all the paperwork with the state where I reside. I personally love being able to find exactly what I want and understand exactly what it will cost without having to haggle/negotiate/feel like the dealer is trying to pull one over on you. Newbold made that positive experience just like I wanted. More
Made a deposit on a vehicle with a business check and decided the next day we didn’t want the vehicle. They initially send the deposit back in my spouse’s maiden name and we heard it the day she arrived decided the next day we didn’t want the vehicle. They initially send the deposit back in my spouse’s maiden name and we heard it the day she arrived and we corrected them so shouldn’t have been an issue. After informing several people of the mistake being bounced around they have yet to fix it. I have had to open a formal BBB complaint as they are ridiculous to deal with! More
I went to this dealership to get my second key made for my Toyota. They scheduled me an appointment to come by to have the new key programmed for my car 2 weeks after coming by to order the key. They sent my Toyota. They scheduled me an appointment to come by to have the new key programmed for my car 2 weeks after coming by to order the key. They sent me multiple reminder texts and email for my appointment. Upon arriving for my appointment they stated they did not have my key and it looked like it had not been ordered. More
They committed fraud on my warranty, I was pressing charges, but then they immediately refunded the warranty back to me. By far the worst car dealership in the Midwest. charges, but then they immediately refunded the warranty back to me. By far the worst car dealership in the Midwest. More
They are nice at the initial buy but have been the worst since the sale. They don’t even honor their agreements when it comes to service and will charge you for regular maintenance items you are told would since the sale. This used to be a great dealership. And their customer service was second to none. That bought a lot of loyalty from me over the years. They have managed to destroy that loyalty. And their customer service was second to none. That bought a lot of loyalty from me over the years. They have managed to destroy that loyalty. Not only will I never again spend another penny at that dealership, but I’ve bought the last Toyota I will ever buy. Toyota will never get another cent from me. I brought the car in and let them know that a known issue with the 2014 and 2015 models—one that can be verified with a simple Internet search—had affected my Rav4. Their response was, more or less, that’s a shame—we’ll fix it for $1500. No offer of a compromise. I’m just out of luck. On a problem there is a Toyota white paper on. One that is inexcusable, and should have led to a company-wide recall. Talking to the dealership’s GM didn’t help. I’m going to need to buy a new car next year. I’m sure that, Honda, Ford, Chevrolet or Subaru will be happy to sell me one. I am done with this dealership and with Toyota. More
Appointment times must mean nothing to them. I had an appointment time of 7:30 and was there in line waiting for them to open the doors. They checked me in and quoted me about 2 hours to service I had an appointment time of 7:30 and was there in line waiting for them to open the doors. They checked me in and quoted me about 2 hours to service my car. My wife was at the Honda dealer getting and oil change. She picked me up when she got finished so I gave the service department my cell phone number while we went and ate breakfast. I hadn’t heard from new bold so we went to the mall and walked around there. I finally called around noon and they told me it wasn’t ready yet. So we went to Menards. Leaving there we thought we’ll just check in and see what’s going on by this time it’s 1:20. Wife says there’s our car parked in the service lot. We go inside where the service man says we haven’t gotten to your car yet. This is where my wife got mad. She told the man we had an appointment for 7:30 made weeks ago this wasn’t some kind of can you fit me in. The service man pulled it in and had the inspection and service completed in 30 minutes. Then says I’ll take some off for the miscommunication. There was no miscommunication it was total BS. They took the pathetic 10% off. I wouldn’t of cared if he paid the total bill himself. It was uncalled for to wait almost 6 hours on a scheduled appointment time. It’s not like I lived 10 minutes away I drove over an hour, and I know they know this it’s in my file. I will NEVER deal with newbold and i will tell my story to anyone who ask. Not cool newbold not cool. More
